True addicts know that the nice thing about a 40 oz jar of peanut butter is that it’s never truly empty if you’re willing to put in a little extra effort.
For simplicity sake, a cardiac ablation is where they enter inside certain heart chambers with a hot poker to burn certain areas, to cause scar tissue, which theoretically blocks wayward electrical impulses.
My wife was down at the west 40 and noticed a truck out across the road in the driveway to uncle Horace’s place. She said it was a bronze colored Chevy 2500 4 X 4 with NC plates and a Auburn sticker in the window so it had to be my cousin Ronnie, Horace’s oldest boy. No one was near… Read more »
Ablation means removing by abrasion, I think? So they grind away something in your heart? Or is it for Plaque in arteries? It doesn’t sound like much fun in any case. Prayers up your way.
#25 Texpat, I had ablation to finally stop my atrial fib late last August after the meds to stop it worked twice only for about a day and a half each time. Ablation has worked very well, and I no longer feel galloping horses in my chest. The cariologist said calling it like galloping horses is a good description… Read more »
I did have to cut a deal with the cardiologist that if this AFib happens again, we go straight in and do the ablations to the heart for both atrial flutter and atrial fibrillation.
I really hope and pray that you do not have to do this; but it is wise and efficient that the negotiations and instructions are in place.
Nine long hours in the ER without food or water. Fortunately, I walked out of the house to go to the hospital this morning without eating or drinking anything but a small cup of decaf tea. If I had eaten anything, I would have been stuck in the hospital all weekend and fasting Sunday night for this procedure on Monday.… Read more »
Well, I have discovered that the 25th anniversary gift is silver, and the 30th is pearl… I guess the 28th is titanium because after today’s orthopedic consult, I’m scheduled to get a knee replacement 2 days before our 28th anniversary.
Shannon, my cousin and her husband had something similar. About five years ago they were camping in Colorado, one night a black bear decided to join them. Tore it to shreds, both escaped thankfully but she was trapped in it briefly. So, they aren’t bear proof, although better than a tent I guess.

About my comment about Windy Williams, I hope I didn’t come off as uncaring that the lady has dementia, I just didn’t have any idea who she was. #4 Bones that is a great video showing the massive wound channel in the ballistic gelatin. Even the solid made a wound channel the size of the block itself without expanding and the soft point hit the end wall of the second block. 10 more FPS and the bullet would have exited the block. 82,000 frames a second, mercy!
THey want to spray aerosols in the upper atmosphere to reflect sunlight back into space. The main problem with this experiment is that it can not be undone.
The first stage did not slow to 0 then start to fall back, it turned at speed then fired a rocket to slow it as it re-entered the atmosphere. After re-entry it started to slow quickly and safely land on a barge. Darned impressive technology and engineering.

I’m in the middle of the video (had to pause it) but I am cracking up laughing at the talking hat image in reference to the shooter’s back rippling. And when I heard the comment about “one of his nipples” I LOL’d a little bit.

I guess I was the first one here that had a cardiac ablation….in 2014.
I understand that there have been extraordinary improvements in the instruments and techniques since then.

After watching that video, my curiosity was piqued, so I had to track down the story of that utility trailer.

I got stuck waiting for a train on SH36 in Sealy, which happens at least once a week.
I was next to this pickup and it had one of these mounted above the truck bed.
I wasn’t sure what it was until I watched the vid.

Have you watched the vids of the Falcon Heavy launches? They land two boosters in Florida and the center one on a boat in the Atlantic.

Glad everything seems ok Texpat. Dang.
Thanks, folks, I’m fine. They have my BPM down to 72, but there is still a flutter in it.
They ran some tests and I’m waiting for the doctors to finish reading them and come talk to me.

Get better, dude. I mean it.
I must have caught the AF from Shannon.
Well, hell, now I’m in the ER at the hospital. I woke up at 3 AM with atrial fibrillation and a heart rate at 144.
They’re trying to knock this out with drugs.

Good morning Dave. Wendy Williams is a shock jock in NYC.
She has been diagnosed with the same condition as Bruce Willis; frontotemporal dementia.
Short version: She is losing her mind to dementia and will soon, if not already, lose her ability to speak or understand speech; she may have 5 years left on the long side.
Watching the local news and yesterday we found out that Windy Williams has dementia. So, I only have one question, who is Windy Williams?
