A family in Glasgow, Montana is accusing the state’s child protective services of “kidnapping” their teenage daughter after the girl began to identify as a transgender “boy.” Krista and Todd Kolstad spoke to Reduxx about their ordeal, revealing that the child had been removed from their care and was now going to be sent to Canada.

Krista, the child’s step-mother, explains that their nightmare began in August of 2023 after they received a call that their 14-year-old daughter, Jennifer*, had expressed suicidal ideations while at school.

“She had always had problems at school,” Krista says, noting that she and Todd had even pulled her from one district and sent her to another due to issues with bullying in an effort to give her a fresh start. But despite experiencing some real-world hardships, Krista claims Jennifer also had some undiagnosed mental health concerns, including attention-seeking behavior.

Later on that same evening, a case worker with Montana Child and Family Services (CFS) showed up to the Kolstad home to speak with Jennifer and do an inspection. Krista had been preparing dinner at the time, and invited the case worker to tour the residence despite both her and her husband being distressed by the sudden appearance.

Their first mistake ?  Allowing any of these people into their home without a search warrant or at least having their attorney present.

It gets worse.  If you think Republicans in Montana will help this family or even follow the very laws they passed at the behest of Montana voters, then think think again.

Montana Gov. Greg Gianforte (NBC Montana){p}{/p}

This is Republican Governor Greg Gianforte and he thinks kidnapping children from their parents to undergo bizarre medical interventions already illegal in Montana is just fine and apparently, the state is sending this 14 year old victim to Canada

When asked to comment on the matter, Gov. Gianforte told TND that children’s rights to “grow up in happy, healthy homes with loving families” are “not always realized.”

“Upon hearing recent allegations related to a child welfare case, I asked Lieutenant Governor Kristen Juras – an experienced attorney, constitutional conservative, mother, and grandmother – to review it,” Gov. Gianforte said. “Consulting with the director of DPHHS and personally examining case documents, Lieutenant Governor Juras has concluded that DPHHS and the court have followed state policy and law in their handling of this tragic case.”

Gov. Gianforte continued, noting a Montana law prohibiting medical gender transitions for minors.

“Our administration will continue to advance policies that strengthen our families and protect Montana kids, like what we have done to promote adoption and to ban permanent, invasive, life-altering medical procedures on children, like puberty blockers, hormonal treatments, and sex-reassignment surgeries,” he said.

This Gianforte is a dangerous fool and imbecile.

God help this family, please.

49 mharper I don’t know what to tell you. If the USPS is so incompetent as to order equipment that won’t fit inside their building, I’m not sure how to predict how well they will solve the problem of three months of packages piling up inside those two distribution hubs. And more and more packages arrive every day. America, what… Read more »

Postal workers hate Amazon because they have had to actually work hard since taking on that contract.

If it wasn’t for the Amazon income, the postal service would be even more millions in the red every year.

So does that mean that my 2 missing packages dead-ended at the distribution hub?? USPS just throws those away if they can’t process them in the old building?

They are now reporting that the initial cause was that new, modern sorting equipment shipped to the Northside distribution hub will not fit inside the building.

Sheer genius on display.

The problem with ordering from Amazon, now, is that they utilize the USPS for an enormous amount of that final 10-20 miles of the delivery. Our rural mail-lady absolutely hates Amazon and says that she went to work for the USPS NOT Amazon but now most of her deliveries are Amazon. She refuses to work on Sunday though and they… Read more »

Oh and I’ve not given up on a Cuisinart Burr Grind Coffee Pot. They no longer make the model I had but my wife found a closeout at Bed Bath & Beyond so I’m going to give it a shot. FWIW: It lasted over 5 years and we used it every day.

About the fire hazard the CFL bulbs are bad to overheat and catch fire. Each one has a tiny ballast, a transformer that is cheaply made and subject to overheat.

My three years of care-giving had its many special moments and gifts from God. But I couldn’t recommend working full-time and simultaneous full-time caregiving. To anyone.

I can only assume the Punsalon project is done tastefully, otherwise TT wouldn’t watch it.

It’s been many years ago now but in our old house we had those curly light bulbs in a chandelier above the dining room table that started fizzling then flamed and a small pop. Fortunately I was sitting right there when it did it. Never used one of those bulbs again.

I was lucky it turned out to be that stupid curly fluorescent bulb, and not the fixture – or a worse problem.
