KHOU reporting that Coffee City has suspended their police chief for 30 days.

It’s a start, I suppose.

Quick Drive-By; Did y’all see Biden give the Congressional Medal of Honor to the Vietnam Vet and then just walk away?!?! Where were his handlers???

Biden blasted for walking out before end of Medal of Honor ceremony: ‘Lack of respect’.

FWIW; It WASN”T Lack of respect it’s called Dementia or Alzheimers.

Tedtam, I posted a link  “over there” to the recipe for the Chicken Cacciatore that’s going in to Nat tomorrow, if you’re interested… It wasn’t ready in time to pre-freeze last night so I did froze fruit today.  Trying to get some “meals in bags” done, instead of just doing ingredients… Thought I had your email address but guess I… Read more »

However, there were deplorable scenes midway through the fourth set with the score at 2-2

My immediate thought while watching this match is that he was a fed plant.

Notice they even used the word deplorable in the story.
Word association anyone?

no doubt in my mind he was a fed plant.

A great Mark Steyn column today.

Concerning the fact that the entire Indian space program (whose rover is wandering around on the moon) is about $140 million, since 2003.
Which is less than the cost of making the recent Barbie movie.

You’ve got to read the rest.

Tedtam, I’ve only done a mix with them in it once before, and if I recall correctly, they did seem to take a really LONG time… I’ll let you know how this batch goes.

I think Adee’s cat must have jumped on her keyboard and sat on the space bar.

All fixed now.

Little kid who is very specific about identifying barnyard animals.

I suppose I should add a language warning, but it’s a very cute language warning.

Presenting the Opening Statement for the House Managers is Rep. Andrew Murr, a Republican.

You might recall that he is one of the Speaker’s Dirty Dozen rinos.

I hope all these out of town state senators sitting in judgment of AG Paxton have been briefed about the new crime reporting protocol in Austin. Austin police in Texas are asking residents to call 311 if they get robbed near an ATM as the department struggles amid an increase in urban crime and staffing shortages. The Austin Police Department posted a… Read more »

#25 Texpat,

The idiots at ADF should know better than to mess with Elon Musk.  Elon could buy and sell the whole damned bunch and leave them to lick their wounds.  Right on, Elon.

It is looking a bit bleak for Paxton right now since it appears he doesn’t have all that many supporters in the Senate. I’m wondering how much of this has broken out into various below-the-radar political battles and how much is about actual justice.  This is the Texas legislature, after all, a place where knives and swords are never sheathed… Read more »

Finally got Nat fired up – 3 trays of frozen mixed berries (strawberries, blackberries, and blueberries) and one of  frozen stir fry mix… The other 4 trays are in the chest freezer loaded full of cole slaw mix, chosen after reading that the Cole slaw mix rehydrates well, and regains “some” of its original texture, tho’ not as crispy as… Read more »

#17 Bonecrusher, Thank you for the information.  I can imagine how disappointed they are. Further thought on my part is how can such couples stay ahead of the race so as to make their purchase before their savings fail to meet the increased amount required?  This entire situation seems to be pure evil. About all I can think of would… Read more »

So, there will indeed be a Trial.

Prior to adjourning for lunch, the Articles will be read and Paxton will enter his plea on each one. And Witnesses will be sworn in.

Musk blames Anti-Defamation League for X’s low ad revenue and threatens lawsuit

As a member of The Tribe, I am perfectly okay with this.

Jonathan Greenblatt and his nauseating cabal of left wing SJWs have hijacked the Anti-Defamation League in a long line of corrupted, gutted American institutions.

The only issue that the Defense “won” was a ruling by the judge (Lt. Gov. Patrick) that Paxton cannot be compelled to testify by the House Managers.

Finally made it to the Rez this weekend with Yellow Hair and White Fang. Weather was gorgeous if a tad bit hot and it was dry. The area around Tahlequah is hilly and forested mostly. The hills are significantly larger than what’s west of Austin.  I could easily imagine living somewhere around Lake Tenkiller. Whole trip was fun. Went to… Read more »

I am watching the Impeachment proceedings in the Texas Senate. The first order of business has been for the Senate to vote on each of the Defense Motions (of which there are 20 or so), most of which involve dismissing either all or each of the articles of impeachment. So far, the Defense has repeatedly lost these votes to dismiss.… Read more »

Apparently the State Legislature in AlaBAMA didn’t do things that the SCOTUS said they should.  SCOTUS  to redraw AlaBAMA congressional districts to include 1 majority black district.

I always thought that the districts were to be drawn in a geographically contiguous way without regard to race; to do otherwise would be gerrymandering wouldn’t it?

There are home buyers who want to live in them and there are home buyers who want to rent them.  Then there are the Black Rock types who try to manipulate the market.  There is a newly married couple, the Mrs. works in our office.  They were saving and had enough for a downpayment and could afford a nice house… Read more »

Many home builders around the Houston sphere of influence seem to be sensibly cautious about overbuilding given the creeping uncertainty in the market.  Stop doing what you are doing before you are drowned in it.  And that creates higher housing prices that shrink the number of families who can afford them.  Vicious circle in the making.   Supply and Demand caught… Read more »

A bright Good Morning Hamsters, A deer herd (5 now) is passing through our place, sampling the jasmine (didn’t know they ate that) as well as the grass. TT 0846:  There is a special place in hell for those fathers who abandon their wife and children.  Doubly so when he leaves them destitute.  Hopefully the woman can get into some section 8 housing and other programs as she re-assembles her and her children’s lives.
