The Video: The Brilliant Mind of Hedy Lamarr

Ms. Lamar was a beauty.
Breakfast is in my belly and Sarah the pup is playing in the backyard. It is a bit muggy but not intolerable or causing sweat – yet.
Mrs. Bonecrusher is going to take Sarah to the office today. Her office is kid and pet friendly. There is a 8 year old who plays with Sarah during the day and both are happy about it.
Looks like Texpat has capitalized on my picture from yesterday. Hedy Lamarr was more than just a beauty she also had also brains, I only learned about this back in the LST days and I’ll have to take a look at the link.

I just saw Donnie Osmond performing on Fox, who knew he was still alive?! Where has he been hiding all these years?
The climate models, the CO2 models, the cancer causing models, etc., are all crap that do not remotely reflect reality here on planet earth out in meat space. They know that the models are garbage. We know that the models are garbage. They know that we know that the models are garbage, yet they persist because it gives them power over us and that is the only goal.
2022 Nobel Prize Winner for Physics: “We Are Totally Awash in Pseudoscience.”
“I am, I guess, what you would call a ‘climate change denialist,‘” Mr. Clauser told The Epoch Times.
His training in science makes him “a little bit different than some others,” he said.
The physicist, who also won a third of the Wolf Prize for his quantum mechanics contributions, shared some of his views on climate during a recent talk in South Korea soon after his election to the CO2 Coalition’s board of directors.
‘Dangerous Misinformation’
“I believe that climate change is not a crisis,” Mr. Clauser told the audience at Quantum Korea 2023.
He also described the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) as “one of the worst sources of dangerous misinformation.”
Mr. Clauser elaborated further on his views in his interview with The Epoch Times.
Contra the IPCC and other major institutions, he argues that climate is primarily set by what he refers to as the “cloud cover thermostat,” a self-regulating process whereby more clouds start to enshroud the Earth when the temperature is too high, and vice-versa. Although he accepts observations showing that atmospheric carbon dioxide is increasing, he believes that gas’s effect on heat transfer is swamped by a great natural cloud cycle.
Another bad sleep night. At some point, I HAVE to catch up.
But in the meantime:
Good morning, C&C, it’s Friday! Your roundup today includes: Proxy War narrative shifting continues as corporate media flips the script again; democrats stumble over Trump’s third arrest and indictment; and another beauty queen dies in a mysterious accident.
NEWS:
Ukraine: news stories are turning against the brave, successful Ukraine narrative. Then this:
So there’s that. And there was another narrative reversal. Remember back when they laughed and predicted Russia would be out of ammo and manpower in no time? Consider this ominous line from the article: “President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia has increasingly signaled that his strategy is to wait out Ukraine and its allies and win the war by exhausting them.”
So that’s why I’m so tired all the time. /sarc off
In other words, the political blame balloons are now aloft, bobbing around Eastern Europe, and they are going to blow up all over someone else so that Biden can have a clean presidential campaign. Well. Clean except for filing seventy criminal cases against his political opponent. Except for that.
***
Careful C&C readers will recall my prediction earlier this week that the new Biden Banana Prosecution of President Trump was backfiring. Let’s check in and see how things are going.
[insert various news stories and video clips of personalities commenting on how the persecution/prosecution of Trump is only solidifying his numbers]
The democrats really don’t get it. They are rapidly creating a campaign issue bigger and more compelling than any campaign issue in history.
Before I continue, let me remind everyone that I am a huge DeSantis fan. How could I not be, after what we went through in Florida during the pandemic? From March 2020, I gave up my cozy, well-run boutique litigation practice to work full time to stop the slide into biomedical despotism — and the Governor was an essential part of that life-altering experience. I personally think DeSantis was instrumental in stopping FEMA camps and restoring sanity to the U.S., and maybe the world. A hundred percent. He would be a terrific president.
And for many reasons, President Trump is a deeply flawed candidate; and DeSantis has none of Trump’s baggage.
I agree with that. But the whole Trump thing just wisses me off. I think the growing poll numbers are people like me, just fed up with the in-your-face banana republic corruption maneuvers against Trump. There are folks who like rooting for the underdog, and in some ways, that label fits Trump right now. There’s another group that just hates authority, and while many of them vote for the D’s, I think there’s a lot of them rooting for Trump as he faces The Man. Which leads to this observation by Mr. C:
But — thanks to democrats and feckless Republican officials should be shutting all this down hard but aren’t — I now predict the upcoming presidential election won’t be about policy, inflation, recession, jabs, Russia, China, Taiwan, Disney, drag queens, the deep state, January 6th, or Proxy Wars. Instead, it will be about a singular, existential crisis in our rule of law, a crisis affecting every single American whether they admit it or not.
In other words, if they can do this to President Trump, they can do it to anybody.
If we aren’t there already — and if we’re not, we will be soon — it’s not going to matter whether Governor DeSantis (or anybody else) is better able than Trump to brake this runaway political prosecution train. Trump’s absolutely compelling campaign message will be: you can’t let them get away with this. Because if they get away with it, there won’t be any stopping it, not ever.
/snip
But this time — thanks to literally unbelievable political over-prosecution — it will be an existential issue, an issue that is manifestly and painfully real to a whole lot of people. Trump can argue that if he loses the primary or even the general, the polls prove it was only because they arrested him for everything they could think of …
The truth of it is painfully and inescapably obvious. And it is already starting. Here’s just one example from an AOC parody account, but it’s not at all funny:
Childers points out that it’s not just Trump. It’s J6, it’s the Whitmer “abduction,” the Houck arrest, the bearing down on soccer moms at school board meetings – and, as a Catholic, the targeting of Trad Catholics as “enemies”. This is an administration drunk on power and desperate to hold it, at all costs.
Not that they mind applying boots to necks at all. I imagine there’s a large portion of the elitist left that chuckle over it as they sip champagne and watch news coverage.
Don’t believe any predictions about what’s going to happen. Nobody can predict this, because it has never happened before in modern history. But mark my words: this campaign will be the most contentious, most hyperbolic, highest-stakes campaign in our lifetimes.
Yes, yes indeed.
Who is piloting these drones in sensitive and restricted air space?
In Arizona. Next to the border. I’m sure the cartels are quite happy with their Chinese buddies. Just my supposition.
I’m sorry, but this never gets old.
It’s the complete video of the beat down. I see there more men hanging around outside, watching. Word’ll get out: either show up with a gun or don’t mess with these folks.
Speaking of people standing around watching, this had to be embarrassing:
Just shoot me if I ever get to that point.
They called him “volumetric”. That’s a euphemism I’ve never heard before.
#11 TT: This needs to happen every time except the beating needs to be much more severe. Like with a baseball bat to his head.
What kind of person advocates for fewer police thinking that somehow it will reduce crime?
What kind of person advocates for ‘decarceration’ and non prosecution for non-violent offenses thinking that the crime rate will decrease?
These same idiots will try to convince themselves that water is not wet, the sky is not blue, fire is not hot, and that their way is the only way.

The president of a Wyoming tennis association has resigned in protest against a decision to allow a trans female player to participate in the woman’s singles category of the state’s Governor’s Cup.
Brooklyn Ross, 27, from Colorado has previously competed with women in college tournaments and is due to compete in the Wyoming Governor’s Cup this weekend.
Cheyenne Tennis Association President, Jackie Fulkrod, resigned over the controversy, citing fairness and a determination to protect the integrity of women’s sports.
Don’t lay all the blame on the fools in Wyoming.
Ross transitioned six years ago and has been playing college tennis since 2019 – she recently completed a tennis season with a Texas college in the NCAA Division II – The University of Texas at Tyler.
As one commenter wrote, this ethical train wreck won’t end until legitimate players start refusing en masse to participate with these trannys.
Public Service Alert !
If you recognize this woman, please call the authorities immediately.
A mystery woman rang the doorbell of an Oklahoma home and quizzed the owner about being a Republican because he had Fourth of July decorations on his lawn.
Surveillance footage of the July 8th incident shows the woman walk up to Pascal Quintero’s home located in the area of South Janeway Avenue and ring his doorbell.
After Quintero answers the door, the stranger asks him about his political affiliation and his independence-themed decorations – an American flag, patriotic banners and an inflatable Uncle Sam character riding a firework. She then blames him for not being able to get an abortion.
and,
Quintero then posted the disturbing exchange on his Facebook page asking if ‘anyone knows this lady?’ She drives a black Toyota 4Runner with Texas tags.’
In the July 8 post, he shared that the woman became irate, so he told her to get off his property which led to her vicious rant.
If you got jabbed, eat lots of broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.
I’d always heard that they were good anti-cancer elements of a diet, but here’s medical stuff that talks about why.
Good afternoon Hamsters,
Just passed by the thermometer outside our back porch that reads 105, in the sun. That has to be close to a record for us in our 41 years of living here, though we do recall having 107 shortly after we moved here in 1980, a record year for high summer temperatures. The double windowpanes feel a bit warm on the inside near the in-the-wall AC unit. There’s an off and on breeze hanging around, but it looks tired.
In the front yard we have a crow and a squirrel, both of whom are moving at a slow pace.
My truck dashboard thermometer indicated 107 on 290 just a little while ago.
I sincerely wish I could send to Texas some of this very unusual cool weather we’ve been having. We may have set a record today with a high of 77° and a low this morning of 66° with humidity running in the mid 70% range.
Tedtam, I think I have found a new convenience “dinner” mix that I need to “copy-cat” with the things we’re putting away in the food pantry, via “Nat”… Squawk picked up a box of “convenience food” from HEB’s line (their version of HB Helper are much tastier and a little lower in sodium) but this one is Bacon Ranch Pasta – with instructions on the box to make “Chicken Bacon Ranch Pasta Salad” 😉 The ingredients in the mix included medium shell pasta with a few dried peas and carrots which were to be cooked (like pasta often is LOL) in boiling water for about 8 minutes (so I’m not sure whether the pasta for a copy-cat should be pre-cooked and freeze dried or just regular little shells), and a packet of seasoning mix to stir into a 1/2 cup of mayo. it was basically ranch dressing powder and some bacon bits (I can buy bacon bits, and have a recipe for ranch dressing seasoning soooo)… I may have to get another box because I didn’t think to measure the contents before I dumped them into boiling water, but am actually thinking that it’d likely be better with a few more freeze dried veggies anyway….
@12:53pm TP
I think that woman falls into the category of the brainwashed, woke and often well to do white women who seek street cred.
they think they’re legit if they’re down with the cause de jour, man.
they love to hate on the man especially if he’s a white alpha male like Trump or someone who supports Trump.
I’m sure millions have been brainwashed from kindergarten all the way through college and by the mr potato head media of the last two to three decades.

#21 Continued – I forgot to add that I used a pint of last summer’s home-canned chicken breast in it, and now that it’s good and chilled… This is good stuff, Maynard
Bsue – Rose Red Homestead did a video where she created her own MREs. You can buy the heating element, and water packaged in its own sealed up packets. Using those and freeze dried ingredients, plus plastic cutlery and napkins, she created an MRE and sealed it in a big FD mylar envelope.
#24 – Already watched it 😉 or at least one of them, where she did the egg scramble with veggies, “scored” the eggs on the pans so she could break them into squares instead of having nothing but “powder” in the bags. I think most of her “most portable” things are in a group of videos for “Trailgrazers”

Good to know. Broccoli and cauliflower are among my favorite veggies. I usually have my supper on a divided plate, with 2 of the 3 compartments containing veggies. Very common for B and C to be in one of those compartments. Seeing as how I got the first 2 Pfizer jabs before the bad news began to leak out, I hope my good diet has helped.
I’ve been finding articles like this one about electricity in the body, and other complexities of our human design. I get the same feeling when I read articles like the one above, that details the complexity of our immune system.
So many, many, many moving parts, and they all have to work in synchrony.
Yeah, like it all “just happened” to come that way.
#28 At least the article attributes the fact that our design works is due to the Designer ♥
Well we finally got a pretty good rain 42″ in about 20 minutes. We went from 96 degrees bright and sunny to a blowing, dark, fast moving storm and the temperature dropped to 74 in minutes. They say we”ll have another chance on Sunday but with almost a half an inch the grass is good for a week if we get missed.
Broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage?
Sorry, no.
Well, maybe I’ll eat some coleslaw this month.

42″ of rain? Are we missing some punctuation? Like maybe 4.2″ ? Or 0.42″ ?
To start with, broccoli is a well-described goitrogen. Goitrogens are chemicals that suppress the function of the thyroid gland by interfering with iodine uptake, a key mineral needed to make thyroid hormone. This blocking of iodine uptake causes the thyroid gland to enlarge; a goitre is the end result. Broccoli is loaded with goitrogens, particularly one group called thiocyanates.
.
Broccoli is loaded with formaldehyde, a natural by-product of oxidation and which is known to cause cancer in rats.
.
Broccoli is overloaded with natural pesticides which are part of the plant’s natural defence system against harm. And what you’re not being told by Big Organic is that half of those pesticides when tested on laboratory animals have been shown to cause cancer.
Is there anything that’s safe to eat?

42 inches in 20 minutes.
At least Harvey took four days to dump 40 inches of rain. (60 inches in Nederland.)

You think we can dry out his Kubota?
I figure he’s washed down to the Gulf and is with the fishes by now.
He probably meant to say 4.2 or.42 but his bragging got the best of him.
Super Dave in his front yard while we swelter in our third straight month of 100 degree days and no rain.
LMAO!
Heck with his tractor, I want the zero turn and the Blackstone.
