Here’s a list of “conspiracy theories” that ended up being “inconvenient truths” for the left lovers of authoritarianism. Here are a few excerpts:
- At the beginning of the pandemic, when Dr Geert Vanden Bossche warned that imperfect and overused vaccines could lead to dangerous viral mutations, the idea was heavily censored on social media and Vanden Bossche was called a quack, Iversen said.
- The COVID-19 lab leak theory wasn’t a conspiracy theory.
- People who in 2020 said the COVID-19 lockdowns and mandates would “change the fabric of American Freedom by ushering in an unprecedented surveillance state” were labelled by the media as conspiracy theorists, Iversen said.
- The mainstream media pushed the narrative that the COVID-19 vaccines were safe and effective with only minor side effects and anyone who believed otherwise was ridiculed and considered a pariah to society, Iversen said.
Iversen suggested that people should consider it a “badge of honour” to have been once called a “conspiracy theorist,” adding that on Twitter people are now saying if “they’re calling you a ‘conspiracy theorist,’ they’re really saying ‘spoiler alert.’”
“That’s really a more accurate term for it,” she said. Here’s the link to watch.
On the way to retire for the night, but first must figure out how to ignore the cicadas around the house. Seems to be a lot of them, and they are loud.
Yes, I now remember you mentioned that at some time.
Sarah.
If I’d ever had a daughter, that would be her name.
#53,54 Shannon: Thank-you kind sir.
The pup’s name is Sarah.

On this date 208 years ago, Napoleon met his Waterloo.
I’ve never heard of rosemary taking over anything. Usually it’s an upright bush. There is a creeping variety that you may be thinking of, but that should be easily prunable. Those of you people who live in wooded areas or anywhere that has a deer population may want to plant some around your gardens. According to Alton Brown, deer won’t… Read more »
I just got home. Hubby and Handyman did a half decent job of keeping the garden alive while I was gone, but I still lost 4 tomatoes. I picked two past prime white eggplant, a handful of bush beans (obviously overlooked), a few more tomatoes, and a big fat cucumber. I have a lot to do, starting tomorrow. Trellises fallen… Read more »
Last Fathers Day we said we’d have everyone send in pics of their Dads and we would post them this year.
I forgot until right now.

Just up from an afternoon nap that started right after coming home from lunch around 2:30. The heat makes it much easier to compel a nap because we’re stuck inside with not a whole lot else to do that doesn’t wear you out, AC or no AC. Time to hibernate. And everything outside looks so wonderful until you stick your… Read more »
Ain’t it the truth and can I interest you in some Curry? 😀
I don’t really hate rosemary. My complaint with rosemary is the same complaint that I have with garlic….90% of the cooks overdo it 99% of the time.
Keep in mind that rosemary is slowly invasive in a flower bed.
And it stinks like rosemary.
Not a fan. 🙂
But then, nobody ever accused me of being a galloping grommet either.
I went ahead and named my front loading washing machine, Greta.
Because I hate her.
#52 wagonburner I’ll see if I can get some for the wife she grows all kinds of stuff.
That dog got a name yet?
Better hurry up. People are naming their appliances now, and we may run out of names.
#53 #54 all together now; Awwww
It’s no wonder she melted your heart.

Bones’ new pup:
Thing is, the rosemary & thyme are perennials. I paid about $8 for both a few years ago. Only annual ones I have are basil, sometimes sage, parsley, & cilantro.
n.b. – they’re herbs. Spices are from the seeds, bark, roots, etc.; herbs are the leaves.
We dined for the noon Anniversary today since scarcely any place is open on Mondays. There are enough leftovers to make a meal for tomorrow and then some, and enough wine left in the bottle to pour enough for two tomorrow. Waste not, want not. 🙂

Its only gluttony if you roll over and barf, then start eating again.
The bad thing about actually staying to eat at Millheim (instead of getting it to go) is that the temptation to go back for seconds is overwhelming. I stupidly went back for seconds.
Damn gluttony.

Thanks for the Art Garfunkel story.
Morning, all you HamousVille Dads and Pops! Enjoy your day!
Getting ready to go by and visit stepdad, he loves Luby’s so bringing him his favorite chopped steak.
Happy Father’s Day all you dads.
Sitting here watching the poor guy across the street (renter) mowing his way over grown yard with a push mower. I think those lots are about 3/4 acre. Dang.
I mowed at 8:30 this morning. Couldn’t believe that the dew was already cooked off.
Headed to the Millheim BBQ.

Good Morning Hamsters.
Happy Father’s Day to our Hamster Dads of all fatherly descriptions.
Spouse and I celebrate our 58th wedding anniversary tomorrow, and we still remember that day quite well. Several wedding pictures adorn a wall in our bedroom. Aiming for at least 60, Lord willing.
Never got lower than 85 overnight, now 88 with 81% humidity.
Happy Papa Day to all the papas!
Well that did seem like and odd choice but that is what it looked like to me and I’m not one of those Hoity Toity, galloping grommets that grows his own spices. 😀
Now that’s the time.
Bones, we need pictures. You might send one to the moderators? 😉
Growing up in the 60’s my two favorite TV Dads were Andy and Lucas.
I just took the puppy, Sarah, out for a walk around the block; just about a mile. She is a little hesitant in the beginning and needs encouragement and praise, which she gets. When she figures that we are on the way back she walks out in front at the end of the leash. She’s learning. Actually, I’m multi-tasking; Honeyshine… Read more »
I’m guessing that’s crushed garlic, black pepper and dill? Dill?!? S&P, garlic (a lot), rosemary, & thyme. I used olive oil on the small one and butter on the big one to help it stick. Ate it just like that. There’s a couple steaks left over that’ll get warmed up a little, maybe in my sous vide, then sear in… Read more »
Go to Daily Wire and read Luke Rosiak’s latest on Texas Children’s Hospital and that lunatic Dr. Hotez.
I got my fill of Hotez on local Houston news when I was staying with Shannon last summer. What an arrogant, self-absorbed jackass !
#29 wagonburner, That’s just about perfect, are you going to slice and pan sear them? That’s what my boy does. Oh and #10, I’m guessing that’s crushed garlic, black pepper and dill? Butter of course.
Dang, Texpat is up early while being incarcerated in that Horse-Pistol. Probably already chasing the nurses around. 😉
Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there! Being a father/daddy is the second best thing that ever happened to me after marrying my lovely bride.
