Tuesday’s Open Comments

In a move that’s sure to leave beer enthusiasts buzzing with excitement, Bud Light has announced the release of their newest product: the official beer of the Green New Deal, Bug Light made entirely out of the rectum area of bugs. That’s right, get ready to sip on the hoppy goodness of “Bug Light,” the brew that’s as environmentally friendly as it is creepy crawly.

The decision to create a beer made from insects stems from the Green New Deal’s emphasis on sustainable and eco-friendly practices. Bud Light believes that using bugs as a primary ingredient not only reduces the carbon footprint of the brewing process but also introduces a unique flavor profile that will surely delight adventurous beer connoisseurs

“We’re always looking for innovative ways to support environmental causes,” said a spokesperson for Bud Light. “And what better way to embrace sustainability than by turning to nature’s little critters for inspiration?”

US Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has signed on to be the bug-rectum beer’s ambassador.

Woke up to thunder boomers this morning but not much rain. News for the day is that I’ve got to take my wife down to Dothan this morning to have the cataract surgery done on her other eye. The last one was a resounding success and hoping that all goes well.

GJT I hope the pacemaker surgery goes well with your lovely bride.

    Now COFFEE!

    From last night, Shannon says;

Katfish’s accident happened in Grimes County near Anderson.

Information continues to be hard to come by.

I’d sure like to know how it all happened. Pleas keep us informed if you hear anything.

as more evidence and facts come out, I’m sure that this will absolutely shock exactly no one reading this blog:

Former Pfizer VP Dr. Mike Yeadon says COVID-19 pandemic never really happened as was claimed

“There never was a viral pandemic of a novel pathogen. I don’t believe there has been a novel cause of significant illness and death, other than our government’s responses to the fake ‘pandemic,’” he said. “The deaths that we saw, I’m afraid, were medical malpractice at best and murder at worst. Basically, we were lied to from the beginning.”

There are a lot more links at the bottom of the short article and they are damning to the narrative.  There are a lot of heads that need to roll to properly fix this situation.

Dateline, Surgery Center South, @ the Big D. Wife just got called into the torture chamber and I hear the chain saw starting up so it won’t be long now, last time took a little over an hour start to finish. They have a regular assembly line here, the last time, 8 people came out about one every 10 minutes all wearing the dark glasses except one. The cataract surgery is a medical marvel. The last time my wife could see 20-20 the very next day but her eye was sensitive to light especially on the outside (ear) side of her eye. That is were the stitches were.

One neat thing about this place is that they text my phone to keep me updated on the surgery. Last time they texted me to bring my truck around 10 minutes before my wife came out.

    SO I just received this;

Surgery Center South: The patient is resting in pre-op.

Trump’s anti-DeSantis ads are grating on my sensibilities.  They make me want to vote for DeSantis.  Trump and DeSantis allegedly want the same things, if Trump were truly a patriot instead of a narcissistic terd-nozzle, he would not be attacking DeSantis – he would be attacking the First Vegetable and its administration and policies instead.

We needed a junk yard dog in 2016 to re-set the stage; how are we to believe today that Trump actually learned anything about how DC really works?  DeSantis has gotten a lot of good things done in FL.  Yes, he has a strong R majority in both houses to pass the reforms and he will not likely have that sort of majority, if he has an R majority at all in DC, so the reforms will not be as dramatic.  Does DeSantis have what it takes to upset the grifter’s apple carts and take an ax to the root of the corruption?  Does anybody short of THE DIVINE?

I have searched high and low for any shred of information about Katfish’s accident on the internet.  Nothing – no police reports, no local newspaper report, no sheriff’s report.

I know it has been less than 72 hours since the incident and LEO reports don’t usually show up for a couple of weeks, but I thought something would show up somewhere.

BACA is silent to this point on David’s death as far as I can find.  I haven’t been on Facebook though.

I have noticed over the past couple of years the decline in internet search engines from Google on down.  This year it seems to have gotten much worse.  Lots of people blame Google and others blame the internet itself.  Those on the Left are complaining publicly even more than those on the Right.

An ex-Googler named Marissa Mayer appeared on the Freakonomics podcast to discuss the topic of whether Google is getting worse. Mayer suggested that asking why Google Search is getting worse is the wrong question. Her explanation of what is wrong turns the spotlight back on the web itself.

Marissa Mayer was employee #20 at Google, overseeing engineers, becoming director of consumer web products and was a part of the three-person team that worked on creating AdWords.

Mayer said this on a Freakonomics podcast

“I do think the quality of the Internet has taken a hit.

When I started at Google, there were about 30 million web pages, so crawling them all and indexing them all was relatively straightforward.

It sounds like a lot, but it’s small.

Today, I think there was one point where Google had seen more than a trillion URLs.”

Wading through the deep sea of garbage has become much more time consuming and trying to do any serious research has become very frustrating.  It has also been made even more difficult with Google, Bing and others shadow banning and burying any publication by conservatives no matter how prominent they may be.  The sheer volume of websites now makes it even easier for them to do that.

I was hoping DuckDuckGo would be a game changer, but it’s not.  They still depend on Google, to some degree, to sift out search requests.

Of course they are his friends.  I wouldn’t start making assumptions about how their decisions are made in a situation like this. These are not the kind of people to be hiding anything.

I suspect they are waiting on information and direction from the family before they publish anything.

    HOT WIRED ☙ Tuesday, May 16, 2023 ☙ C&C NEWS

    Roundup:

Good morning, C&C, it’s Tuesday! We’re now in the bottom half of May, heading toward summer. It’s beautiful weather here in North Florida this morning. I was traveling last night, so the today’s roundup focuses on two deep-dives: how blue state police defenders are trying to address the crime problem; the Durham report exploded onto the scene yesterday; and a heartwarming video illustrating one of the important differences between New York and Florida.

    News:

Childers starts out with a recap of several blue cities making Kia and Hyundai responsible for the fact that kids have figured out a way more easily steal those car models by “hot wiring” with a USB cable.  Instead of looking at their “defund the police” programs, they are blaming the car makers for the rise in car thefts.  /facepalm

He reported this several columns back, but he’s actually found one of the lawsuits.  They are suing the lawmakers for not making their cars more expensive by installing the electronic key option in their more economical vehicles.  Because if they did that, they wouldn’t be stretching their police forces.

If you didn’t get rid of your cops, you’d have enough to go around, you idjits.

You see where I’m going here. In blue cities, it’s the victims’ job to stop crime, not the government. If Hyundai and Kia made buyers sign a waiver when they bought the cheaper cars, then the cities would have no option but to sue the owners, for buying a car that isn’t a fortress.

Under no circumstances will the cities sue the teenaged hooligans or their parents. Or arrest them. They are victims too, TikTok-posting victims of a patriarchal white-supremacist system that stops these teenagers from developing good morals or a conscience or finding anything more productive to do with their time.

  19. Tedtam Avatar

Next up at the C&C, the Durham report:

Much of what he says has already been discussed here: the report is damning but no criminal charges recommended.  Childers covers a lot of discussion, then brings up the fact that the R’s are going to use it in their investigations, including having Durham come and testify.

I’ll bet CNN/pMSNBC/CBS, etc., don’t cover any of those hearings. As far as they’re concerned, the hearings are happening on some far away planet, where they have no cameras.

So far, with most of us not yet having read the dense, 300+ page government document, the ultimate significance of the report’s conclusions aren’t immediately visible.

But one thing is certain: a politically-weaponized FBI helped Hilary Clinton interfere with the 2020 election, directly or indirectly.

And we all know — from January 6th — how bad interfering with an election is. It’s an insurrection. It’s seditious. And what we know of the Durham report so far is 100 times worse than January 6th, maybe 1,000 times worse.

There are lots of good federal investigations and prosecutions happening that nobody ever hears about. For instance, an opposing lawyer in one of my most difficult cases was recently arrested and charged for child porn trafficking…The arrest was handled very skillfully, because the lawyer headed his firm’s child exploitation group and could’ve argued that the materials on his computer were just work product. They had to catch him in the act.

FBI agents did catch him in the act, with perfect timing, and it was a great job. Those honest, capable law enforcement agents should be valued and rewarded. But the politicized FBI is a gigantic problem, and it raises legitimate questions about whether the FBI should be broken up and reassigned back to the States.

Many frustrated and repeatedly-disappointed folks will predict “nothing is going to happen,” which is what the left and its corporate media would certainly prefer. But it’s way too soon to conclude anything like that. …

The key is, the “proving” part is now over. The left can no longer rely on the old “no evidence” gag. My guess is the report is going to grow a LOT of legs, like a political centipede, and it will run in all kinds of surprising directions. For just one example, we can start untangling the web of democrat lies over the last four years, where they’ve claimed that any questions about the legitimacy of the election were “conspiracy theories” or “disinformation.”

It turns out THEY were the conspiracy theorists and the disinformers.

We will patiently wait for a strong conservative legislative response, as the proper next step in the “correct” process of addressing these problems….But I promise you this: if the Republicans don’t take up the flag and run with it, then we will do it ourselves. You can take that to the bank.

The barrage of anti-DeSantis ads by Trump REALLY BUGS ME.  It rightfully makes Trump look like a self serving, narcissistic, back-hole.  Could someone please show me the policy differences between Trump and DeSantis?  One would think that a true patriot-statesman would not bad mouth another with virtually the same positions.  The whole thing is off putting, particularly this early in the nomination process; the election is 18 months away for crying out loud.

Tucker’s biographer spills the beans:  It was because of Dominion.

“It is now been reported that his firing was a condition demanded by Dominion as part of the settlement with Fox. Although Dominion has denied this, my sources have intimate knowledge of the situation and they have assured me, even before this news leaked, that that is, in fact, the truth,” Moore remarked.

“If that is true, it would mean that a small group of people who have a controlling interest in Dominion have managed to silence what is arguably the most important and influential conservative voice in the country, possibly until after the next presidential election. Knowing Tucker as I do, I’m confident that he will not be silenced. As I’m sure all of you are as well,” he concluded in the clip.

Moore claims that he has “multiple sources” and they are “people who are very, very close to the situation and who would know, and who I have no reason to believe that they are lying.”

    Dominion vs Fox vs Carlson

This is not old news.  It just got started.  The original accusation came from Carlson’s legal team.  Dominion and their lawyer denied it.  I laughed out loud.

MY THEORY:  Does this lawyer think every client tells them about everything that happens between them and their legal opponents ?  This side deal was clandestine with ultimate deniability and done verbally between two people (Murdoch & Dominion CEO) without the legal teams’ knowledge to protect them from being disbarred.

Chadwick Moore, Carlson’s biographer, has been deeply involved in the inner workings of Fox News for over a year working on the book.  He’s the first person with that kind of intimate knowledge to publicly back Tucker’s accusation.

Mahatma Ghandi was a Hindu shyster, sort of the Al Sharpton of the Indian subcontinent, when during WWII he decided Adolph Hitler was a fine fellow and decided to ally himself with the madman dictator.  He even wrote a letter stating the Jews should surrender to the Third Reich.

Fast forward 80 years and this 19 year old Hindu kid, Sai Varshith Kandula, in Missouri decides to take up the Ghandi banner via the Nazi flag and smash into the White House to try and kill the President.  Are there even any Jews working in the Biden White House ?  The Trump White House was full of them.  Joe is Irish and they kinda liked Hitler since they remained neutral throughout WWII.  Didn’t Biden claim to be a WWII flying ace who won the Congressional Medal of Honor ?  Maybe that is it.

This young guy appears to be a highly credentialed data analytics whiz kid so he may have been already working for the FBI as an intern, for all we know.  He does seem to have his targets confused.

I may have posted this before, however, it is an important read and credo by which to live.

    A Re-Declaration of Independence

Tyranny is already upon us. To defeat it, we must first learn to reject its premises. And to say so aloud.

    Jeff Goldstein

    Mar 26

    130

    Be it so understood:

I refuse to “unpack white violence.” I reject the idea that my existence “perpetuates white power structures.” I will not — and in fact cannot — “examine my implicit biases.” I’m an individual. I refuse to grant determined interpretive communities authority over my being. My meaning is mine. It is what makes me me.

    Bottom of Form

I’m not taking any “journey” to “discover” the impact of my “privilege” on “black and brown peoples.” I will not become “anti-racist” or “anti-fascist” to satisfy your demands. I reject Cultural Marxism. I am an individual. I’m not defined by my color, my religion, my sex. I’m Jeff.

I will not “respect your pronouns” or “celebrate” your “queerness.” I am hostile to your sexualizing of children. I reject your neologisms, your “triggers,” and your desire to control my speech. I know who and what you are: you are my presumptive master, or else the Useful Idiot who empowers him. But I will grant you and your ideology no power over me.

I reject “equity” because it is collectivism disguised as virtue. I reject “inclusivity” because it is inorganic, superficial, and contrived. I reject mandated “diversity”: I will not surrender to the Crayon Box Mafia, nor to the gender changelings who pretend I am a construct answerable to their whims.

“Cultural appropriation” is merely culture: it expands to include, and it makes up the very fabric of a pluralist society. There’s no such thing as “digital blackface.” My whiteness is not “violent”; my sex is not “oppressive”; my religion doesn’t concern you; and my children are not yours to mold. Your beliefs will not be imposed on me. The State will not parent my sons.

“Queer theory” is “critical race theory” is “critical consciousness” is the Marxist rejection of the individual as individual. Cultural Marxism is determined to raze norms, sow chaos, tear families asunder, and reduce being to collective conformity. I reject its premises as fully as I reject its adherents. I will not comply.

I will not mouth your slogans. I will not denounce on command. I am not your tool, and you are not my minder. I reject your social hectoring. I find abhorrent your authoritarian urges. I laugh at your disingenuous outrage. From me you will receive no apologies. I reject your premises entirely, and I hereby reclaim my time.

My speech is my own. I reject each of your excuses to silence me. I don’t ask for your protections. I can filter information without your interference, and I despise your presumption to protect me from myself.

I am your sworn enemy, as you are mine. I will not perform for you. I will not read from your script or dance in your follies. I utterly reject your revisionism, your ahistorical impertinence, your presentism, your self-appointed expertise. I will not bow before your theorists, nor admire your social prophets.

I am not a disease. My existence doesn’t “warm the planet.” I’m not interested in your “sustainability” concerns. I am not yours to manage.

I won’t eat your bugs, live in your pods, surrender my cars, or without consent be packed into your cities. I reject your charity. I unmask your intentions. I know what a woman is; I know that any member of any racial group can practice racism; I know that 2+2=4, regardless of how contingent you wish to make reality. I despise your ideology. I refuse your relativism. You are not the Elect, and I am not answerable to the various neuroses you wear as badges of honor.

I know you better than you know yourselves. You are conditioned. Programmed. Automotons who believe themselves sentient beings. Your intolerance of “hate” is not a virtue. It’s a ruse. An excuse to practice your own intolerance and luxuriate in your own hatreds. You are a self-fulfilling prophecy. You are that which you claim to despise, and I am that which you claim to be.

I see you. Clearly. And I aim to misbehave.

I strive to be self-sufficient. I honor the founding ideals of my country, and I work to live up to their measure. I recognize the great fortune of my birth. History does not frighten me. I reject your blood libels: I am not responsible for that which I didn’t do, nor are you victims of what was never done to you. I will not proclaim your goodness while knowing your evil.

I am a free man. You wish to take me from me. You will fail. I will win. And God willing, I will live to spit on your graves.

    Outlaw.

The left has pushed too far and destroyed too much, may they all die quickly, choking on their own vomit and feces.

Oh. Em. Gee! Cardiologist just came in to brief wife on the second stent he’s about to put in. What??! She’s here for a pacemaker! He had her mixed up with another patient. She was already scared, luckily she’s probably on gas by now. Geez.

#47 Darren – Nice try… When I freeze dry meats, they are still raw – they just feel like styrofoam and don’t spoil in the fridge – or out of it, for that matter… When I  rehydrate – they’re STILL raw… so yeppers – gotta do some cooking LOL

I remember watching one “homesteader” lady dehydrating HARD BOILED EGGS.  Yeah, you can do it, but why?

I think I caught her on a later video correcting herself. Why in the world she thought that dehydrating cooked eggs would still make them useful totally escapes me.

#52 GJT Damn that is scary! I hope the wristband has the correct info on it. Both time my wife got her eye surgery they put a Sharpie X above the eye to be worked on.

Wife has been sleeping off the anesthesia all day but when I looked in about 10;30 AM she asked for a grilled cheese sammach so I knew she was OK, then about 2 PM she ordered a Nanaer Sammach so she’s doing just fine. 😉

We ran to Lowe’s to get a small NEW hand-saw to cut frozen meat, and while we were inside got a tornado warning for our area. Heavy rain for a short time – finally made it to HEB, and got the things we needed… and got home to find that the storm came across/thru our subdivision (likely almost directly over our house)  – tree down across the main road and took out the power (thank you Lord for an automatic on generator to keep my stir-fry veggies freeze drying!!!) And now that we’ve got the news on, I’m feeling truly blessed that downed big branches are the worst of our problems – prayers for the families affected by the construction collapse accident which took 2 lives and hurt 9 more are up – and more (I’m sure) are appreciated!!!!

My daughter needed a baby break so when I got home today I got to see her and the granddaughter, AKA Pretty Girl. I love coming home and seeing them. She and her husband will move to Sugarland so I won’t be able to see them as much. They will still be a driving distance though. Daughter and Niki have been buying and painting lots of My Little Ponies. Amazing how buying Niki a Pony at the store decades ago can cascade into a mother/daughter painting adventure. I love how they work together on their projects while I we all spend some time with Pretty Girl.

I had a wonderful nap, and got up to feed critters. Billy Cat was sitting under the gazebo so I decided to feed him first. But when I went out with his bowl of yummy cat chow, one of the young raccoons that lives close by showed up and wanted Billy’s food. I had to whack the critter with a stick to get him to back off, then I went inside to get some of the dry dog chow that I put out for the night crew. Then I had to stay outside while Billy ate, so I’d be sure he got his supper. I think that young raccoon lives in the east-of-me back yard where Billy also seems to be most of the time. There is so much stuff piled up in that back yard, especially behind the garage, that I have no idea where either of them may have a “home”.

Sounds like felony animal abuse to me.  I hope your neighbors don’t report you.

But a judge has ruled against Kari Lake in her signature verification trial.

Just another deep state kangaroo dressed in a penguin suit doing his master’s bidding.

the deep state is in complete control and nothing will change until the swamp is completely drained and dried up which I’m afraid will be never.

they couldn’t let Lake win because she was going to shut the border down and clean out the corrupt election overseer types.

meanwhile in Texas we’re stuck with open borders WEF Abbott, Dante Costello Hatrick and phlegmy slime ball dud phelan in the house.

Abbott’s a complete moron for sending illegal aliens into the interior of the country instead of back across the border or preventing them from entering completely.

But if he’s gonna be a moron then he should send all of them to Martha’s Vineyard and watch them squawk and moan.

But won’t send them there cause he’s chicken.

    way to go republican’ts.

Speaker Phelan, drunk at the gavel and hearing calls to resign.

It just doesn’t get any more delicious than that.

    Not that it matters.

The Democrats and Republicans in the House will replace him with a carbon copy RINO.
