On Friday, April 21st, Tucker Carlson delivered the keynote speech at the 50th anniversary gala celebration of the Heritage Foundation in the Washington DC area.
Carlson did not know what was coming and it is reported he was not notified he was fired until ten minutes before Fox hit the wires with the press release on Monday morning.
Notice though in this speech it is completely extemporaneous sans notes.
No rain here today despite the forecast for some late this afternoon. On the weather news tonight it was explained that the rain did not have enough push to get this far south. The rain Thursday is supposed to be the big one. And there might be some rain tomorrow. Not holding breath that long….
I suppose I’m a sellout as I still watch Netflix. Usually can find tolerable programs that don’t offend me much. However, we did just watch a new movie on Whitney Houston, don’t remember ever hearing anything about it but it appears it was out there, she had a lesbian relationship early on and that woman (movie is based on her… Read more »
I think FreeVee is somehow tied to Amazon/Prime. Like Prime Lite, with ads.
I’m getting as bad as Brother Dave about going to bed with the chickens. No unexpected news to speak of, and I don’t watch much on TV anyway/ Might go try to find an old movie on FreeVee – they have some good ones. Tubi does also. I’ve got Prime, but they don’t have squat, and I fired Netflix long… Read more »
No offense, but Kilmeade was only tolerable when I watched him, years ago, because I was struggling to get awake enough to drive to some ambulance station, and Steve Doocy seemed to play straight man to his clowning – of course it was something like 5 am, so I was not much of a judge at the time… Texanadian, thanks… Read more »
So what exactly did Tucker do to get canned, all of the above? Brian Kilmeade is OK but NO Tucker Carlson. ~SIGH~

Bernie is actually right.
I read some standard fare propagandist named Lemon also got fired at Seeinninn.
He had viewers?
I took a long nap and was surprised it wasn’t raining when I got up. However, no sign so far of Billy Cat wanting food. He does have a nemesis, another loose cat that picks on him if they run into each other.
I mean, Bernie Sanders will tell you the D’s are going to pick the nominee anyhow, so why go through the charade.

I’m really trying not to beat this Tucker Carlson subject to death, but this story is really bizarre and involves the speech I posted in the header today. A source has revealed that Tucker Carlson was reportedly removed from Fox News by Fox Corporation Chairman Rupert Murdoch following a speech made by the now-former Fox host on Friday that contained… Read more »
About this poem Voted Britain’s favourite poem, ‘Warning’, written in 1961, is known and loved the world over for its message of old age as a time for indulgence and fun. In the poem’s respectable middle-aged woman, as she imagines herself in old age as a cheeky rebel with outrageous clothes and dotty behaviour, poet Jenny Joseph has created a… Read more »
When I am an old woman I shall wear purple With a red hat which doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me. And I shall spend my pension on brandy and summer gloves And satin sandals, and say we’ve no money for butter. I shall sit down on the pavement when I’m tired And gobble up samples in shops and press… Read more »

I’m watching the movie “Ragamuffin,” a biography of Rich Mullins. I understand his music so much better now, and I can relate to some of his struggles.
Now I know why his music resonates so much with me.
World gone insane.. A 2016 medical article documenting the tragic death of one of the participants in the linchpin Dutch study upon which the entire child sex change experiment is based indicates that puberty suppression was to blame for the young person’s death. The case is that of an 18-year-old trans-identified male whose puberty was blocked by the Dutch researchers… Read more »

Isn’t the Red Hat Society some kind of old ladies friendship club?
I can’t imagine Bart Starr or Lombardi having a high opinion of Rodgers.
Good Afternoon Hamsters, # 11 GJT, The long divorce between Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers is supposed to be complete with an agreement on the trade of draft picks. Being a black gay is no longer a protected, unfireable minority. Sorry Don Lemon.
Afternoon, gang. I got up late, had breakfast, and went to the store, so now I am just limping along in the slow lane. Not in any hurry at all. I got back home and brought the groceries in, then tried again to call up Billy the cat for his chow. When he showed up, I decided to sit in… Read more »
Regarding the raging misogynist Don Lemon: Ace has an article that makes some sense: He got fired because he could not see past his own light brown skin. He had been warned previously about his behavior, and most likely right there on the set when he took out his ear piece, to knock it off. He refused once again and… Read more »

In other news Debbie Dingell is still dead! I was passing through the den and saw the evil old bag on Fox News. My belated take on the Tucker situation. Tucker was getting too close to the real truth of what is going on. This did not happen in a vacuum. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats want the real truth to be out there lest they be subjected to the tar and pitch fork treatment. After the release of the first (and… Read more »
BTW – C&C has a short discussion of the insurance juggernaut.
I’ve always found it interesting the Left constantly stands at the edge of hysteria over Tucker Carlson. Chuck Schumer screams about him endlessly. They don’t react that way to Hannity, Kilmeade or Will Cain. They did have some fits over Megyn Kelly in the past but she’s gone from Fox now. My theory is the Dems internal polling and surveys… Read more »

The perfect storm brewing for the life insurance industry is both the extraordinary excess death rates with the huge benefit payouts and the looming commercial real estate collapse coming in 2024 and 2025. I learned there was a Red Hat Society. I don’t get out much.
I had a rough night sleeping last night. Finally took a melatonin around 2:00, I think I fell asleep around 2:30. At least I didn’t wait until 3:00 or 4:00 to realize I was in trouble. I don’t contribute to the NFL coffers any longer but I enjoy the Hot Stove aspect of it somewhat. The draft is coming up in a couple days and the Texans have several high picks, including the #2. Back from Larry’s TOK for coffee this morning, and I’m glad to report that it was just like old times – the gang was all there, the staff was the same, and there was a line of workmen waiting to get their breakfast tacos while custom cooked breakfast plates were being served to the others. Wow. I agree with some of the comments though, insurance companies will get taken care of. Small potatoes in the scheme of things. A trillion here, a billion there. Meh.
Just listened to the entire Carlson speech, he is just so good. If he ends up podcasting I’ll have to learn how to tune in. Never listened to one and my car is not techie enough to do so, I’m sure there is a way to on the phone.

Larry Correia, novelist and gun dealer/instructor, had this to say about Tucker and he’s never watched him. That shows a very boomer era understanding of media consumption and overestimation of the power of a traditional news channel. He didn’t need Fox.
