Government Tyrants Play with Fire

/snip

No doubt the politicians and their State-controlled agents in the press will actually hail President Trump’s arrest as shimmering validation that “no one is above the law.”  What poppycock!  What glittery abuse of power.  What abominable descent into tyranny!

If Bill and Hillary Clinton had ever been properly charged for their decades-long crime spree involving perjury, rape, investment swindling, real estate scams, stolen White House furniture, Chinese bribery, campaign finance violations, family foundation fraud, mishandling of classified secrets, conspiracy to defraud the United States with the Russia hoax, Epstein-linked prostitution and child-trafficking, or their uncanny proclivity for leaving a trail of dead associates in their wake, their rap sheets would stretch from here to the moon.  Had Barack Obama ever had to properly answer for illicitly using the IRS, EPA, DOJ, FBI, and Intelligence Community to target, harass, and persecute his political opponents or account for his stunning success in using his political office to transition from one of America’s poorest presidents to one of its wealthiest, he and his wife would not so absurdly yet flippantly claim that his presidency was aboveboard and “scandal-free.”  If there were not a two-tier “justice” system that exists only to protect Deep State friends and demolish Uniparty enemies, Joe Biden’s notorious reputation over the last half-century as a bought-and-paid-for stooge of foreign governments and domestic crime syndicates — with a family of drug users and reprobates who profit solely from his politically-protected name — would have at least kept him far from the White House, if not serving time in prison.

/snip

… But sacrifice your security, reputation, and good fortune in order to run for office against the Uniparty’s collective will and make America great again?  Well, that, my friends, must be punished to the hilt, lest the American people learn to govern themselves without first consulting D.C.’s occupying forces for approval!

/snip

Now is the time to see who stands where, whose verbiage is nothing but fluff, and whose words are backed with mightier stuff.  If Republican Party leaders do nothing while the Deep State locks Trump up, then that party is dead.  If Americans who claim to respect free speech say nothing while a political leader is imprisoned for his words, then their appalling silence will speak volumes.  If Americans who wrap themselves in the American flag and claim to stand for liberty instead hide and wilt away, then we will know once and for all who really sacrifices for America’s rights and freedoms when every day becomes Independence Day.  There stands Trump, fighting the good fight, refusing to give in; now we will see where every politician, pundit, or self-proclaimed patriot stands, too.

/snip

This did not have to happen.  American leaders have had many opportunities to confront evil and nip tyranny in the bud.  Too many stayed quiet while the national security surveillance State worked to take down a sitting president.  Too many stayed quiet while the Uniparty stole the last election.  Too many stayed quiet while the Deep State censored Americans’ free speech.  Too many stayed quiet while leftist legal henchmen locked up J6 political prisoners for the thoughts within their heads.  Too many stayed quiet when the installed president of the United States called half the country “enemies,” “extremists,” and “terrorists.”  At any point, had enough elected officials finally risen, ground their heels into the dirt, spat upon their hands, and said “no,” this present tyranny would not exist.

If today is not the day to stand for freedom, then freedom is in mortal danger.  And any politician refusing to back up words with real action is as cowardly and worthless as the multitude of pretenders.

I saw some post about Garth Brooks and immediately there were tons of comments “Where are the bodies buried Garth?” or variations of it.

    So, I went down a rabbit trail…

Morning gang.  A little rainy here this morning, so I guess that’s why I slept in.  I went to bed early and slept late – that doesn’t happen very often.  I was worried about being able to get my good morning post in without having to get a cramp in my scrolling finger to get down to an open spot, but looks like I made it in under the wire.  Warming trend is back, and I should be able to get out and mow a little later today after it warms up and dries out just a little.  I even missed the TOK coffee call this morning, but that’s OK I suppose.  Hope you all have a great day now.  More later as it develops.

‘I married her for her cows’: woman in China who tied the knot with man shortly after first date calls police and claims he used her for cattle wealth

Cattle rustlers are found the world over.

Obviously, this Chinese woman does not fall into the 91% of her fellow countrymen who claimed they are happy, happy, happy.

Thanks to family and friends, Chinese are the happiest people in the world, global satisfaction survey finds

I like to read fiction in the morning with my coffee.  Check out the accompanying photo of dozens of Chinese people on some sort of trolley.  There is not a single smile, a grin or a hint of joy.  Even the children look worried.

Do these people look ecstatically happy ?  How much kickback did the French polling company get from the Chicoms for publishing this hoo-hah ?

Reuters had a video playing on the page about young Chinese who are resisting government pressure to have more than one child.  They say they can’t afford more than one.  Happy ???

Oklahoma County and Tulsa are two of the 62 counties that were responsible for 56% of America’s murders in 2020. A groundbreaking study by John R. Lott of the Crime Prevention Research Center, revealed that “1% of counties have 21% of the population and 42% of the murders” and  “2% of counties contain 31% of the population and 56% of the murders.”

The 1% of bloody red counties include such Democrat strongholds as Philadelphia, New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Dallas, D.C., Miami-Dade, Milwaukee, San Diego, St. Louis, Chicago’s Cook County, L Houston’s Harris County, Detroit’s Wayne County, Memphis’ Shelby County, Pheonix’s Maricopa County, Cleveland’s Cuyahoga County, and many others.

    and,

Shelby was not only one of the three counties in Tennessee to vote Democrat, it was also responsible for 311 of the state’s 682 murders. Similarly, Wayne County was responsible for 379 of Michigan’s 693 murders. Houston accounted for 405 of the 537 murders in Harris County and along with Dallas’ 251 murders, Austin’s 47, San Antonio’s 128, Fort Worth’s 99, accounted for around half of murders in Texas. Maricopa County made up 299 of the 423 murders in Arizona.

    Good Morning Hamsters,

Early Dr. appointment at 9:30 was over a little after 10, mostly x-rays with a return appointment to speak with the orthopedist.  The large clinic is very organized in its own building at Sugar Land Methodist Hospital’s large branch out here in the hinterlands.  Topic is my right knee that is starting to have arthritis trouble.  Good time to catch it and start treatment before it gets worse.

But has your daffodil popped up?

They all popped up in late February and are gone by now. Sadly the fig trees budded out a couple of weeks ago and the freeze Monday morning did a number on them, mostly the top and since it was 30 this morning the freezer burn went further down. I just hope they make some figs this year after last year’s disastrous dry spring. I only had enough figs for 3 pints usually it’s more like a dozen.

Got the front, side and back yards mowed, leaving all the bluebonnets up, so thing appear kinda ragged in spite of the mowing.  My bluebonnets in back that have not appeared for a couple of years are showing up, as well as some on the west side, and the right of way for the highway that runs in front as well.  Short version, it’s a good year for bluebonnets.

Feels good to get a little exercise in.  It’s warmed up to the 60’s and the wind has not started blowing hard yet, so it’s a good morning to get out and get some things done.  My plants need some bright sunshine and some heat to get a boost from their current seedling state to that of a growing, established plant.  My new worm order should be here in a couple of days, and while I’d like to go back there and play around in the bin with the existing colony, I think they are better off being left alone to do their business.  I don’t think worms are territorial so hopefully they will welcome some additional guests when they do arrive.  There is plenty of room, bedding, and food in there to go around according to the experts on YT.

OK, more later when I get my battery recharged from the mowing effort.

Well, I decided it’s too windy to do yard work. Took David’s Carolla to the shop to have them look into the mysterious “TRAC OFF” error light that popped up when I was trying to get home from the Galleria area 2 weeks ago. The shop manager was on the phone for 30 minutes, as I sat and watched their fish tank. There was one small goldfish whose idea of fun was to swim to the bottom and pick up a tiny rock with his mouth, swim to the surface, and let the rock fall. After all that sitting and waiting, I decided to walk home — it’s 8 blocks which is about right for stretching your legs.

wow, up to 78 degrees here this afternoon.  SE winds have returned, but they are too strong to actually enjoy.  I guess this may signal the income spring winds that did not let up last year for months, burning all the plants leaves as it went along.  So far this year things are looking very nice and green, even though most of the greenery around here is weeds, it still looks nice.  I do believe that spring is here to stay.

Well I had a fine day chopping up hedges in the wood chipper. I had a small pile to chop up and then took out another big sucker. I came in about 4 since I have a small beef roast in the Crock Pot. I took a quick shower and then dipped out some of the broth from the Pot to put in the fridge and then boiled some taters for Smashed taters. Just before it’s time to eat I’ll make some brown gravy with the beef broth. BTW; Did I tell you that I love my fat separator?

Still 71 and windy and overcast here, with a rain sky but no rain.  Spouse had been bouncing around on the tractor mowing in the pastures this afternoon but had to give up. There are so many ruts and lumps like concrete in the pastures because it has been so dry, and his back couldn’t take it anymore.  At least we can water the lawns so they aren’t rock hard.  Our next chance for rain is probably Friday.  Morning mist seems to be our source of moisture again.  Everything is green and beautiful so far, and perhaps we can plant some flowers late next week.  Agree with El Gordo that green weeds look nice rather than dried up everything, and besides that they don’t look like weeds from a distance. 🙂

Went to a high school baseball game this afternoon at the local Christian school.

No concession stand. Going to bring peanuts next time.

Christianity is opposed to concession stands now ?

As an old Little League baseball concession stand operator (at 11 & 12 years old) I really resent the fact they are trashing a great American tradition.

From what I hear, they relentlessly beat up on those parents to volunteer so much at that school, the parents have probably drawn the line at running a concession stand, too.

Well, I didn’t get the car back today, but I did have a nice nap. Didn’t see the stray cat Billy today until about 4 pm, and he was hungry. He doesn’t trust me to get within 10 feet of him, but I needed to lure him to his bowl placed under the breezeway, as it had started raining. He finally figured it out.

Too bad Billy can’t speak people, as he must have quite a lot to tell given his cautious taking of what you offer him.  Hope he learns to trust you and your hospitality soon.  He certainly has found a wonderful place and appreciates it.   St. Francis is smiling.

We just finished up with supper, roast beef n gravy with smashed taters, butter peas, turnip greens and rolls. Wife had a Dr appointment in Enteritis this afternoon and rolled in about 5:35 just as I was making the gravy perfect timing. My plate. 😉

#34 SD:  I like the fat separator, but I usually leave the fat in with all the meat until the next day; after the meal is cooked and chilled, and I pick it off the top with a fork or spatula; then bag the leftovers for freezing and lunch later.

  42. Super Dave Avatar

Bones, I use it to make the gravy. I dip some of the liquid out an hour or so before I make my gravy and put it in the fridge to separate. That way the gravy isn’t too greasy.

Never waste the fat!  What you don’t eat – BURN. Some grease/fat on a paper towel makes a dang good fire starter; particularly if it is wrapped around a pile of wood chips that have been soaking in 100 proof alcohol.

No nap for me today.  And I’m still up a little late, but not for much longer.  Got some things done today, and I’m actually feeling pretty good about spring being on the way.  Got my worm bedding all set up in hopes that I might get them here a day or so early and get them acclimated to their new home.  Got a refrigerator full of bad produce which should be enough to feed to whole bunch for quite a while, even if they start reproducing rapidly.  Hope that you all have a good night now, and more tomorrow.  Nite nite.
