I think I just recently had a comment by Kent Book on something I had posted Over Yonder.
Years ago he fell on hard times and I sent him what I could.
Years later he became a notoriously nasty troll in the Comments sections of the Texas Tribune. I think he was solely responsible for them discontinuing Comments altogether.
I don’t know how many of Y’all knew Kent Book from the LST days but he passed away on February 3, 2023. Dear old lady friend of my wife’s in Austin has been without power for seven days, they just told them today is power probably won’t be restored until at least Sunday. She won’t listen but wife is demanding to let her come bring her here.

There is a major water outage in my area. Tales of water running along Tidwell nearby. Lots of people getting hysterical on FB group. This has been going on for about 2 hours already. My outside water was running slow but enough that I was able to fill the water tub on the patio for the toonies and possums. I… Read more »
I may try that, but I have the new super duper Apple unit and I’m going to start using it. I’m not sure at the moment what I’ll need an old Windows unit for in the future but who knows ?
#37 – I’m still thinking that you could install a new $20 power source in the Dell and have a functioning back up computer. The symptoms sound pretty routine for power source failure.
Sun is sinking in the west and the temp is starting to go down. Yet wind is still blowing like crazy. New greenhouse is still standing though. Got a few new seeds planted, and wound up washing the patio glass doors to improve my view of the back yard. At least I got some exercise. Nothing else to report on… Read more »
I finally just received my monitor cable and UPS so hopefully I can start downloading files from Carbonite onto the Mac-mini tonight. I got the old Dell to start but Windows refuses to load. I’m pretty sure that video card is fried. I’ve been without a computer now for 4 days.

I saw some video, lady was filming her television screen of the Chinese ballon being shot down as she screamed “Yes! That’s my Air Force!” Dude, they shot down a balloon. SMDH.
