It’s Friday! And much colder here after the front pushed through, 43 but we should make the low 60’s so it’s not too bad.
Mornin’ Gang

We got a boys weekend out at my brother’s best friend’s place near Crocket. Not sure yet how soon my son can get off this morning but we are off when he does. Weather coming, and I don’t know why we chose January but hey, I’m always good for a fun weekend. I need to change out the starter in my Club Car side by side that I didn’t get around to so won’t be bringing it, there will be plenty of rides up there.

I’m off to TOK. More later when I return

Not enough sleep, but I’m up since the alarm went off. Trying to get the left hip to calm down. At least the right hip is missing its rock. Progress!
So, coffee in hand, I went to the C&C and it seems that Childers is up earlier than usual as well. So, here goes…
KRACKING ☙ Friday, January 20, 2023 ☙ C&C NEWS
Here’s the roundup:
Good morning C&C, it’s Friday! Our excellent roundup includes: another monstrous variant afflicts Great Britain; new study finds high myocarditis rates right after jabs, raising an ethical dilemma; Trump doubles down on vaccines; Musk drags the World Economic Forum; and McCarthy delivers on another promise.
And the news:
Childers starts off with an amusing role playing exercise focused on the newest fearful sounding WLR variant called “Orthrus”. He explains that Orthrus is the two-headed dog brother of Cerebrus. (I’ve read a lot of mythology, but that’s a new one on me, so I learned something today.) I guess the media is saving Cerebrus for the next variant. Because….that’s what viruses do. The media can drag this pandemic scare out until my grandkids have grandkids. But I digress.
Of course, the media still has to plug the “vaccine’s” effectiveness, even though this is a new variant. Because…agenda!
Childers throws in an imaginary conversation where two folks are arguing of the pedigree line of the variants. Amusing, but in the interests of fair use, I’ll simply encourage those who are so inclined to read it themselves.
Seriously, though, can you imagine if they’d done this with influenza every year? This is a hypochondriac’s fantasy.
Anyway, notice that both Kraken and Orthrus are (1) more infectious and (2) vaccine evasive. Which is exactly what Geert Vanden Bossche predicted two years ago would happen, if you tried a mass vaccination campaign in the midst of an ongoing pandemic.
Ad infinitum. Because viruses never die, they just mutate down. Unless some human screws with them.
-
More C&C:
The Canadian Medical Association’s journal published a new study in late November titled, “Observed versus expected rates of myocarditis after SARS-CoV-2 vaccination: a population-based cohort study.”
The researchers studied 10 million doses of the shots and found an overall average rate of new myocarditis cases in people who got the mRNA vaccine, at a rate of 141 per 100,000, or 1 in 6,500 — just within the first 21 days following injection.
That is insanely high.
Worse, they found the highest rate of heart damage among young males aged 18-29 who got Moderna, which features a higher mRNA payload than Pfizer.
I’ve always wondered why Pfizer got so much attention over Moderna. I guess Pfizer kicked back more money to the right people. But again, I digress…
According to the study, they recommend offing more old folks with the jab and sparing more young men by directing the jab to the older folks instead. I’m over 50, and I have no desire to die earlier than necessary in spite of the study’s recommendations. I want to chase my grandbabies down the line until I drop. Or until entropy of the body is too much. But I can still laugh with them and cuddle them.

Next up at C&C, a discussion of Trump and Operation Warp Speed, and his defense of the jab.
Politically, I think he’s screwed either way. The jab is so divisive that he’ll upset a great number of people either way, but a lot of his followers are anti-jab. Does he come out and admit he fostered a killer juice? Did he really have a choice at the time, given that he’s not a doctor and had to depend upon the advice of “experts”? Will folks accept that premise? What about his continuing defense of the jab? This is the first time that he’s ever admitted that there could be anything wrong with the juice.
“You have to understand, there are the pros and cons,” said Trump. “Some reports [say] that it’s the greatest thing that’s ever happened and we saved tens of millions of lives. Then you’ll read other reports [that] say there were some problems with the vaccine…but relatively small numbers. But you know, you have many reports that say the vaccines save tens of millions of lives,” he continued. “That without the vaccines you would have had a thing…where perhaps 100 million people died.”
IMO, his support could be a major factor in the upcoming campaign.
Childers attempt to dissemble the thought process:
The first odd thing is that — apart from this issue — Trump inarguably has the greatest political instincts of any politician since Reagan. Trump MUST know that lots of his supporters hate the jabs. …
But even though he surely knows about the awful conflict, he has never directly addressed unhappy supporters.
I’m not the only person who’s noticed this odd discongruity. Many people have speculated that it’s Trump’s pride; he just can’t admit he was wrong. Or a more nuanced version: Trump calculates he’ll be more damaged politically if he admits the jabs are problematic than if he continues to insist they are fine.
Perhaps. But neither of those explanations are satisfying. They both presume Trump couldn’t find a third way, a way to exploit the crisis to his own advantage, which after all is his specialty. We’re talking about a man who survived the “grab them by the p***” video released days before his 2016 election.
What I find most interesting is that there is a manifest upside to Trump’s stubborn recalcitrance. It is perfectly clear that, if Trump ever does attack the vaccines’ safety and efficacy, then the leftwing media will immediately, rabidly, and irrationally defend the jabs to the death. They would use Trump’s opposition to the jabs as evidence — in and of itself — that the jabs are the most brilliant invention since Alexander Fleming accidentally sneezed his prized fungus-spore collection right into his bacteria dish.
Trump’s opposition to the jabs would mean the democrats and the media would never back down.
So while it is vexing, it is also helpful that Trump defends the jabs. He is making it much easier for the truth to come out. It’s like he’s almost daring them to blame him for vaccine injuries.
Just something to think about.
I am also confused about Trump and the jabs. There must be a reason, and I think pride has a lot to do with it. But that’s just my humble opinion.

More C&C: Elon Musk declined and invitation to the WEF, calling it a “developing world government”.
He said it publicly.
The WEF is kind of turning into something like a replacement United Nations. Except there’s no voting, it includes big corporations, and everybody is somehow already on the same page.

C&C Comments:
“ Seriously, though, can you imagine if they’d done this with influenza every year? This is a hypochondriac’s fantasy.”
And that it exactly what we’ve created out of this; mask-addictive, virtue-signaling, hypochondriacs, who need a daily crisis to keep them entertained and give them an excuse for safe spaces, away from work and those selfish un-vaccinated terrorists. You know, selflessly protecting others through their ridiculous activities.
“ So while it is vexing, it is also helpful that Trump defends the jabs. He is making it much easier for the truth to come out. It’s like he’s almost daring them to blame him for vaccine injuries.”
Jeff, you are brilliant! I’ve been wondering this same dilemma for Trump. And we know he’s pretty savvy too. It must be difficult for the swamp creatures and their media lapdogs to restrain themselves! I hope someone just can’t help themself and let’s it slip; that would sabotage the entire effort! Popcorn cued for the unfolding saga.
He was damned if he brought out the vaxx and damned if he didn’t. The vaxx in itself isn’t the problem. It’s the mandates and adding it to immunization schedules. Trump is in the same predicament now. Damned if he supports the vaxx damned if he doesn’t. Either way, look onto yourself and what guides your own actions. Don’t be an automatic follower. Be a critical thinker first. This is an observation only and not meant to tell anyone they are wrong in their thoughts and choices during this scamdemic.
I think new “variants” could be named after Japanese monster movie monsters: Gojira, Mothra, Rodan…
To object to this naming scheme would be proof of horrible racism
Good reflections thanks. Believe Musk has perhaps belatedly come out with some common sense and understands what many of us have known for years especially about WEF. It is important not to mistake Musk for a free speech leader. I do believe he is jockeying for power. After all he has spent most of his adult life being a profiteer from the deep state. Lots of these types on the scene. We are being so played.
One of Musk’s tweet that is earning the hate of tryrannical plutocrats.
Elon Musk: “Almost no one seems to realize that the head of bioethics at NIH –
the person who is supposed to make sure that Fauci behaves ethically – is his wife”
For those of you new to shot skepticism, here was Geert Van Bossche’s open letter to the WHO in March 2021: https://darachi.com/geert-vanden-bossche-open-letter-to-who-halt-all-covid-19-mass-vaccination I suppose all of those fact checkers who smeared him need to be served a large dish of crow at this point.
Is it possible that the heart suffers bigger harm from the Moderna jab because of the LNPs that carry the mRNA? I have read the LNPs are very inflammatory. And since Moderna has 3x the dosage of Pfizer, an unsuspecting recipient receives both the negative effects of the mRNA *and* and LNPs. But maybe that’s all too obvious to even mention…
That has been discussed. Marc Giradot substack has looked at the distribution and toxicity of the LNP.
Missouri case vs. the White House. I don’t know if anyone followed Kathryn Huwig during covid with her great analysis of Ohio covid numbers. This is a very interesting substack: https://kathrynhuwig.substack.com/p/the-virality-of-truth?utm_medium=email
Gratified to learn Dr. McCullough tweeted about independent journalist Margaret Memge’s attempt to interview Indiana Health Department head Dr Box about the jabs. Watching this bureaucrat’s smug face as she tries to ignore the questions is simply infuriating. The sheet arrogance!! Link to the video:

I’ll stop there. (…did I just hear a sigh of relief?) 😉

#4 TexMo that was all over the news yesterday but nothing will come of it. He’ll cop a plea, get 2 years suspended sentence, probation and community service. NOT ONE DAY in Jail!!! Oh and the “Community Service won’t be cleaning toilets or anything he deserves it’ll likely be to give lectures on “Gun Safety”. Not real NRA style gun safety but something along the lines that guns are evil and should be avoided at all costs.

My #5 One of the talking heads did say that since he’s so arrogant he might want a trail by jury. I do hope so because that’d nullify my #5 and he’ll definitely go to jail, maybe 5 years and out in 2?

Back from TOK just brimming full of new knowledge of what all the local folks are up to, but not much more. I try to get back in before the avalanche begins but looks like I was too late this morning. I decided now to stick my head out to see if it’s safe. Kinda cloudy and cooler this morning, more like January weather, but still not real cold. I’m expecting February to be colder though, probably another state wide hard freeze before it’s over. Not sure what’s on the agenda for today just yet, but I’ll get it pulled together here shortly. You all have a great one now.

Childers attempt to dissemble the thought process:
I’m sure this is a typo, but it’s one of those wacky ones where one letter wrecks the meaning.
Disassemble is to take something apart, like an old car motor, but dissemble is sneaky — it means to hide your true self, like the guy who said he was a mechanic but had never actually seen a motor, much less put one back together.

President Joe Biden and a small team of trusted advisers, including his sister Valerie, plotted to keep the discovery of classified documents a secret, betting that they could quietly handle the problem without it becoming public knowledge, a bombshell new report claimed on Friday.
For 68 days they succeeded. Then it blew up in their faces.
Biden and six of his closest advisers, all of whom were aware of the initial discovery of classified documents at the president’s D.C. think tank on Nov. 2 – gambled they could keep the matter a secret and deal with the Justice Department privately.
They chose to keep silent and try to convince the DoJ it was a simple mistake, unlike Donald Trump’s refusal to return the classified material – at the National Archives’ request – kept at his Mar-a-Lago estate, The New York Times reported.
The New York Times, you say ? Hmmm. They have a lot of long knives stored there at their DC political bureau.
Also, whenever you see Anita Dunn involved, you can be certain corruption and lies abound.

Joe Biden was named in an email found on Hunter Biden‘s laptop discussing a 25 million-ton gas deal with China, DailyMail.com can reveal exclusively.
In October 2017, Hunter and his uncle –Joe’s brother Jim Biden – were brokering a multi-million dollar deal to supply gas from Louisiana to the country on behalf of their business partners, Chinese energy giant CEFC.
At the time Joe Biden had finished his term as vice president and had yet to announce any plans to run for president in 2020.
A Louisiana-based lawyer on the other side of the deal wrote in an October 27, 2017 email that he had arranged ‘a call from Joe Biden and Hunter Biden on Monday morning to discuss the purchase of the 5 million tons of gas.’
It’s a cascade of bad news now.

Just read a story over yonder:
Fr. Chris Alar is Director of the Marian Fathers of the Immaculate Conception. (Side note: “Immaculate conception” refers to the conception of Mary, born without sin, and not that of Jesus.) I’ve really enjoyed his lectures “based on his seminary notes”. Great speaker, good priest. And so you understand the following story, a few Catholic definitions and descriptions:
Eucharist: as per John 6, in each mass bread is transubstantiated by the power of Jesus into His body, through the hands of the priest who is acting in persona Christae. On the outside, it still looks and tastes like bread, but the substance has been changed. This is our belief. (Search “Eucharistic miracles” for more information.) You may also see Host or Blessed Sacrament.
Monstrance: A special holder for the Eucharist. It is usually made of gold, with a clear window at the center and “rays” radiating out from it. You can see various forms of monstrance here. A monstrance is used during times of Adoration, where we can be in the presence of God in prayer. They are also used when there is a procession. A priest would never simply hold the Eucharist in his bare hands, except when administering the Sacrament. Even in procession, a priest will cover his hands in a cloth before grabbing the base of the monstrance to lift it up.
Now that I’ve explained all that…
The story describes how he was holding the Host in a monstrance in his hands. I’m assuming he was in a procession and not inside a church, since he describes the efforts of “them” trying to take the Eucharist out of his hands. Fr. Alar knew they wanted to desecrate the Eucharist and just held onto the base of the monstrance.
Then one of “them” grabbed the monstrance and his hand was “thrown off” the monstrance, and his hand was burned. Fr. Alar said “we all saw it”. He and his friend then got out of the way.
So cool.
Reminds of the OT story about the men who touched the Ark of the Covenant and paid a price.

Speaking of “in persona Christae,” we had our first Latin reboot class. This time, instead of using an academic method, we are using a “natural method,” using the curriculum “Familia Romana”. Basically, learning by story and not just rote memorization of forms.
We had 30 students last night. We’ll see how many stick. We old-timers all seemed to show up.

Dave Zirin is the obnoxious, low-grade sports editor at the The Nation, bible of all American communists. He posted a hit piece on Tony Dungy because of his conservative, pro-life beliefs.
Zirin got lots of blowback, but my favorite is from Jason Whitlock, black conservative sports commentator and frequent Carlson guest:
“Massa Zirin is very upset Tony Dungy won’t adopt massa’s politics,” Whitlock wrote. “Massa Zirin is upset a black man would support a March for Life event. Massa prefers the slaughter of babies, particularly black ones, in the womb. Massa wants Dungy fired. Massa love dead & unemployed negroes.

Rep. Greg Steube spent Wednesday night in a Florida intensive care unit after suffering several serious injuries in an approximately 25-foot-fall from a ladder on his property, according to a Thursday update from his office.
The incident occurred Wednesday at the Florida Republican’s property in Sarasota while he was “cutting tree limbs,” according to his office. The injuries remain under assessment, his office added, but are not viewed as life-threatening “at this time.”
“He is making progress and in good spirits,” a tweet from his official account said. “We are thankful to the individual who witnessed the fall and immediately called 911, as well as Sarasota County’s Emergency Services for their quick response and transportation.”
Steube is a stud, a big, fit, muscular guy. He pitched the last congressional baseball game and knocked a home run out of the ballpark in DC in their 2021 matchup, a win for the Republicans. If you fall off a 25 foot ladder, none of that matters.
If your limbs need cutting and they are so high you need a 25 foot ladder, call a tree service, for crying out loud.

I thought it was the Holy Ghost that did the transubstantiation.

I agree, and it’s easier to do than our macho selves think. My brother fell a few years ago flat on his back trimming trees. Still hurts him. -
Falling from a height of 5 or more feet results in crippling or fatal injuries over half the time (if I remember some safety class years ago correctly).

The best news we got at the Toyota place was that, although they do have the catalytic converter theft “prevention” device, for a mere $600, we don’t need one because the vehicle we have doesn’t have enough space for anyone to easily get in and cut off the converter… Hooray for designers who can squeeze so much stuff in such a small space that the bad guys won’t bother trying to get to, in order to… well, do their dastardly deeds.

I am halfway through this 28 minute video with Steven Crowder. He is very upset and concerned over the inside state of conservative media and has considered calling it quits.
Posted 3 days ago / 1,300,000 Views / 45,020 Comments
Crowder has 5,940,000 YouTube subscribers
He talks about how many of the big online conservative media companies actually work to subvert conservative ideals by tying their content employees to horrendous contracts that serve the interests of Big Tech platforms. It’s pretty depressing to watch, but very informative and educational.
Many commenters are guessing the redacted contract Crowder displays is from Ben Shapiro and Daily Wire. I think they are probably right and Crowder pinned a thread of those comments to the top. Shapiro is definitely not the only one doing business like this.
You haven’t seen me write about or link to the Daily Wire in a while on this site. My personal experience with them really pissed me off. After they put up a paywall, there was an article I really needed to read and I subscribed to their 30-day plan for a few bucks. I assumed they would email me at the end of 30 days and ask if I wanted to renew for a year. Stupid me. Without notice they hit my card for a full year’s subscription – not even an email notice, much less the option to decline – and I didn’t know it until I saw the bill.
I would never do business like that and concluded Shapiro is not who he claims to be. Details can be big tells.

Cold weekend and following week coming up, guess I’ll be staying in with the cats.

I started watching a few episodes of Hunters on amazon Prime. The story line is set circa 1970s and basically is a group of Jews who were in the Nazi camps and survived who are hunting Nazis who were relocated to the US, primarily scientists and such. Their research consisted of atrocities conducted on the Jews but who were given new identities and worked for the US government after the war. Of course, it is made as a modern movie with the appropriate amount of blacks, gays, and the Americanized Nazis are projected as southern red necks proudly displaying the stars and bars and such, but if you can get through that, it’s actually a pretty good story. Not for the faint of heart.
I’m only seeing a couple of nights next few days where the temp gets below freezing, but the highs are more like what you would expect for January. I’m still calling for a severe freeze in February, but nothing like the events of ’21. Have a good evening now.

I’m praying that the “allergy tracker” forecast for tomorrow is correct. The cedar that blew in with this latest front had me “machine gun sneezing” til I was afraid to drive home from our exciting outing to WallyWorld. Got home and checked “allergy tracker” part of the weather forecast, and it says today the cedar is high but tomorrow is ZERO… I finally got to the point that when my nose stopped up again, I called it “divine intervention” to keep the pollen out of my sinuses, and left it that way. Silly me – I thought that, since January is almost over, and the cedar had been annoying but NOT horrendous, I was gonna skate thru this one unscathed.
