It’s only 10 pm and I am yawning like an old woman. Guess I’ll get up and load the dishes, and hope the spurt of activity doesn’t get me wide awake. I am truly feeling like diving under the covers right now.
I do remember the very odd feeling when I broke my ankle. As I went down, I had the weird sensation that my leg was made of jelly, without any bones in it from the knee down. That sensation will stay with me to my dying day. I’m falling down, and all I could think of was “Where are my… Read more »

Texpat – that was one of the first things that was driven home in both nursing school and paramedic school – just because you can move it doesn’t mean it is NOT broken… And just because I’ve never had a broken bone doesn’t mean I ain’t had surgery on both hands, both elbows and one knee LOL

Oh and Squawk, I’ve been stoking my Man Card today, I spent most of the morning cutting up the rest of the tree trunks behind the Pole Barn and hauling them off in the bucket of my trusty Kubota. I had to sharpen the saw chain twice and tighten it once. 😉

Well, my plans for the day just got screwed. I managed to trip on the stairs and jam my finger through our railing grates. My finger’s turning a lovely shade of purple and gray, its girth is increased quite a bit. I have iceon it now which seems to be helping, but I do have a doctor appointment at 2:00.
