Thanks for putting up the thread, Texpat.  I was plumb tahrred last night and forgot to check to make sure there was couch for us to land on today.

Just got out of bed.  I’ve brushed my hair, which is always a challenge first thing in the morning, but I’ve corralled the crazy and have my coffee in hand.  Waking up is next.  So is “Maverick”.  I’ve come to really look forward to James Garner on Saturday mornings.

I also woke up to clues that my crock pot runneth over during the night.  Poor Hubby had to clean it up.  By the much lower liquid level, I gather it was a small flood.  I guess once it started to siphon out…

I’ve been seeing references to “Babel X” and FBI whistleblowers recently, but just now found out that it’s about the FBI monitoring social media accounts for “election misinformation”.

More proof that the FBI/DOJ has become a putrid mass of corruption.

Media gets trolled by pranksters pretending to be victims of Twitter layoffs:

A pair of pranksters posing as laid-off Twitter employees tricked multiple media outlets Friday as the public anxiously awaited news on whether Elon Musk had begun axing staffers.

CNBC’s Deirdre Bosa interviewed two people who identified themselves as Twitter employees and were seen near the company’s San Francisco headquarters carrying cardboard boxes.

Skepticism immediately emerged on social media. One of the pranksters said his name was “Rahul Ligma” — a reference to a popular internet meme — and held a copy of Michelle Obama’s book “Becoming” aloft while speaking to reporters.

    /snip

CNBC, Bloomberg, the Daily Mail and NBC were among the outlets that reported layoffs were underway after the duo spoke to the media.

“It’s happening,” CNBC’s Bosa tweeted. Entire team of data engineers let go. These are two of them.”

“They are visibly shaken,” Bosa added. “Daniel tells us he owns a Tesla and doesn’t know how he’s going to make payments.”

After the hoax was revealed, there was crawdadding on the story by the suckered outlets.

“Quite ironic that a major news outlet failed to do basic diligence and fell for a crisis actor prank, resulting in the spread of misinfo, on the first day of new ownership,” Lee tweeted. “All you had to do was ask to see a badge or look for bird-themed stuff in the boxes. Also we don’t use Zoom.”

Basic diligence.  I don’t think today’s mainstream media even knows what that is.

As I was typing last night about the conveniences of stockpiling, I also got to thinking – if this diesel crisis really exists, we have enough here to last until the crisis is hopefully resolved. Hubby and I were talking about this the other night, and as he pointed out, we could stretch our stores by skipping a few meals. “It’s not like we can’t afford to,” he laughed as he rubbed his belly. Unfortunately, that is too true.

I’m shooting for multiple years of food supplies.  I like the LDS requirement of at least two years.  That will take a while.  But we have enough of the basics for something like the diesel issue.  I would hope that something like that would jump start some common sense and a few impeachments.

Now there are reports of eye problems related to the jab.

The problems manifesting after the Covid shots just keep piling up. I’ve already written about myocarditis, Lewy body dementiarubbery blood clotsskin necrosis, infertility, and the loss of smell.

… The UK equivalent of VAERS (MHRA) had 132 cases of blindness and 6,682 reports of eye disorders after COVID19 shots.

The ‘ocular manifestations’ occurred on the eyelid, cornea, conjunctiva or internally on the retina, uvea, nerve, and vessel. The abnormalities were found to occur up to 42 days after vaccination. Vaccine-induced immunologic response could be the cause.

    Heads should roll.

    C&C NEWS ☙ Saturday, October 29, 2022 ☙ PHARMA CLOWNS

Good morning, C&C, and welcome to the Weekend Edition! 16. Tedtam Avatar

First up,DeSantis goes after election fraud:

On Thursday, Just the News reported that Florida Governor DeSantis’ new election crimes unit recommended the state police open a full criminal investigation into an alleged long-running, widespread ballot harvesting operation in politically important, central-Florida African-American communities. The investigation arose from a Democrat whistleblower’s detailed complaint describing the harvesting scheme, which describes specific details, names names, lists amounts paid for ballots ($10 each), and so forth.

But…but….but….I thought there was NO election fraud, that the past elections were clean as the wind driven snow, that NO WAY could elections be rigged!  Well, as long as liberals got elected, anyway.

Video of one encounter with ballot harvester.

Within an hour of the Just the News story hitting Twitter, Twitter added a “Safety Flag” warning to the post, so that people who clicked the link to the ballot harvesting article would see THIS scary advice: [Insert “this link may be unsafe” warning]

    /snip

Three takeaways. First, it’s no surprise that Musk has a lot of work to do to clean up Twitter. Hopefully he’ll find whoever did this and fire them. Second, the holdouts inside Twitter don’t seem to know the war is over; they’re like those goofy stranded Pacific island soldiers after World War II. Third, corporate media REALLY wishes this story would just go away.

“Ballots for dollars” is ugly. I will say it: this is EXPLICITLY vote buying. The breaking story threatens corporate media’s beloved “cleanest election in history” narrative.

The lefty activists are only in triage mode with this “safety warning.” Believe me, they’re busy working on a counter narrative right now. I predict it’ll be that the investigation is “racist” or transphobic or socially unjust or something.

Yes, Musk has a LOT of work to do.  So does DeSantis.  And Abbott.  And every other governor in the country.

Vote.  As in the C&C post from yesterday, one of the things we HAVE to do to recover from all this madness is to vote in people with principles and backbone.  The hard part is finding those folks and getting them to run for office.

  17. Tedtam Avatar

    More from C&C:

After hearing five hours of public and expert comment, Florida’s Board of Medicine voted yesterday to recommend BANNING trans medicines and surgeries for kids. The gist seems to be that the risk posed by irreversible treatments for gender dysphoria outweigh the uncertain benefits.

Several “de-transitioners” spoke to the Board of Medicine about the horror of their experiences.

These speakers included a very brave young lady, Chloe Cole, 18, shown above at the left, a courageous survivor of teenaged testosterone treatments and top surgery. “Why is a mental health epidemic not being addressed with mental health treatment to get at the root causes for why female adolescents like me want to reject their bodies?” Cole asked the panel.

    Perzackly.

And if she’s 18 now, her parents must’ve approved the mutilation of her body.  The parents are just as deranged as she was.

  18. Tedtam Avatar

And then Childers takes on Russia’s claim against US bioweapons research:

Although this story has been COMPLETELY embargoed by corporate media, on Thursday Russia presented its dossier of evidence against the United States at the U.N. Security Council.

The only place I could find any official report was on the Russian government’s website, which simply reproduced its official statement to the United Nations….

The statement… is worth reading in full. Essentially, it summarizes extensive evidence of the Pentagon’s involvement in Ukraine’s expansive network of biolabs, including documents referencing multiple strains of dangerous pathogens…The statement refers to multiple documents and recovered drone parts evidencing a U.S./Ukraine scheme to use drones, insects, birds, and bats to carry infectious agents against military troops.

The Russians say that neither the U.S. or Ukraine have ever answered its claims in any meaningful way, except to dismiss the hard evidence as “disinformation” and “propaganda.” Nor am I aware of any substantive response by the United States to these serious allegations.

And then this point is made, and I think it’s legit:  Why just the military?

The Russian delegation said the smoking gun was the Pentagon’s involvement. If the biological cooperation between the two countries was purely for “community health,” why are all the involved American agencies military, and not health-related?

Of course, the US and allies are fighting any real investigation of the claims.

    Link to the Russian statement.

I went to vote at my local public library. Apparently Ft. Bend County has moved away from paper and pen signatures. You now sign on a tablet with a fat faced disposable stylus that makes your signature virtually illegible. I’m not happy with that. They also had new voting machines. Fortunately they kept the feature that prints out your ballot. You then take it to another machine that scans it and then deposits it into a lock box so they have both an electronic record and a paper back up. I did double check my paper ballot after it printed and all was well with it.

SuperDave, the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept allows you to put your children’s name into a lottery for deer hunts. They have a ton of locations throughout the state with dates running from two weeks before the season opens all the way till the end of the season. I think there are even some extra dates in January outside of the season. You select your location and date and hope you get picked. They have a similar system for adults too.

We have a friend who’s daughter bagged a deer last weekend at Brazos Bend State Park. They process their own deer so after field dressing it they hauled it home to Sugar Land. The girl’s mom invited my wife and boy over to watch her butcher it to make sure my boy didn’t have any issues with the sight or smell. He didn’t.

The girl’s mom is an A&M graduate with a degree in Animal Sciences. She has butcherd all sorts of animals.

They drove up towards Nacogdoches early this morning to check in. They can hunt Sat afternoon/evening and then Sun morning/afternoon/evening.

FBI Now Wants 66 Years Before Releasing Information On Seth Rich

Reminds me of Pfizer wanting 75 years before releasing their records.  What is it with this generational delay of transparency?

Rich was a Democratic National Committee staffer when he was killed on a street in Washington in mid-2016. No person has ever been arrested in connection to the murder.

U.S. District Judge Amos Mazzant, an Obama appointee, ruled in September that the bureau must hand over information from the computer to Brian Huddleston, a Texas man who filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for the info.

In case y’all forgot, he was a Democrat staffer that had connections to Hillary, who was mugged by someone who failed to take his valuables in the mugging.  Except maybe the computer he may have had with him.

Late to the party, just checking in after we returned home from a Tuesday to Saturday visit with spouse’s brother and wife who live in De Forest, a suburb of Madison, the capital city of WI.  WI is definitely on the further repair of the state to remove a senile Dem Governor  imported from MN who “won” it last time.  Plenty of Rs in the state are really, really annoyed as are former Dems who have split with that destroyed party.  Fortunately the Legislature is R and will gain even more R members who can start to untangle the mess the Dems have made over the past 4 years.

We’re hoping that we get a little bit because we really need it.

    Mornin’ Gang

  46. El Gordo Avatar

Morning gang.  Perusing football scores this morning.  Some shake-ups and upsets up and down the line, but the top teams managed to stay pretty well in tact.  And the Stros rally to win the second game of the WS.  The most noteworthy under performance by a D1 college football team had to be the Rice Owls playing in front of the home coming crowd of hundreds at Rice Stadium.  They were hosting the Charlotte team which is ranked 131 in the group of D! football teams – the group consists of `131 teams.  Meaning they are ranked as the absolute dead last, worst D1 football team in America.  Rice on the other hand has won a couple of games in which they were under dogs in an effort to regain some sort of respectability in college athletic circles, and even as pathetic as Rice has been lately, they were 16-17 point favorites. Well long story short, Charlotte kicked Rice’s ass up one side of the Rice Stadium turf and back down the other.  Rice did not appear to care one bit.  Their football coach is paid $1 million per year, has been there 5 years now, and just this year reached double digit wins against D! opponents – Prairie View and Texas Southern are no D1 opponents.    Rice coach has publicly stated that he does not need this job since he has plenty of money and a hot wife, and it shows that he does not care on whit about it.  I cannot describe to you and conceivable reason the administration continues to support these losers.  It’s a national embarrassment and a disgrace.

    Have a good day.

That was my thought, cool but, why?

  50. El Gordo Avatar

He apparently applied to his local municipality to put a free standing pool in his back yard.  His application was denied because he is too close to a stream or river or something.  So he decided that under his local code, he could add on to his house and meet the local code, so that’s what he is doing.  He also wants to have his kids do scuba diving, so the pool is deep enough to do all that kind of stuff too.  And as he said, once you are tired of swimming, the bottom of the pool can come up and turn in to a dance floor, or you can set the bottom at whatever depth you want it to be.  He and his twin brother developed all the engineering for electric cars and sold their company for buku millions.  Brother makes Best Tugs for airplanes which is very successful while this guy works on waste water reclamation projects for a regular job and builds airplanes in his spare time.  They initially developed Best Tugs because one of the wives wasn’t flying because she found it too hard to take her plane in and out of the hanger – and like everything else they do, the tug will not only tow your plane, it will check the battery charge, air up the tires, and who knows whatever else.  Of course, they cost about the same as a small plane too.

If you want a window into the life and mind of the Pelosi attacker, paste this (oxane taub san francisco) into your search engine search bar, click on images and then follow the nude protester/nude marriage links to the different news stories.

Oxane Taub is the decades long girlfriend/wife? of the attacker, Paul DePape, and man, she is one certifiable lunatic.  She’s famous in San Francsico for walking around the streets nude protesting one thing or another.

    Good Afternoon Hamsters,

Nice to be back home and temporarily put away the jackets.

Good to see many red background political signs all over, including in my kin’s Madison suburb.  Kinfolk have two blue and one red sign in their yard.  The red one is for a local contest I think.  I did not mention any of those, as the wife leans left without realizing that’s what she’s doing, and the brother-in-law is mostly conservative.  (He’s an Air Force veteran.) The farther you go from Madison in the county, the more red signs you see and far, far few blue ones.  Presume that it is major red throughout the rest of the state.  Except Milwaukee that is royal blue along with a few suburbs.

I did some shopping one day with sister-in-law as is customary when we visit.   WI has definitely been hurt economically but thankfully not as bad as Biden’s Depression has damaged some states.  There were empty stores here and there, some of them businesses I had frequented in earlier trips.  That was sad to see.  I bought things at three of my favorite places, all in the suburban downtown.  Those stores were each staffed by several persons.  This was on Wednesday afternoon, and at one store we were the only shoppers.  At the others there were maybe two more.  At two stores I could not resist some items that could not be carried on the plane, so they are being sent home by UPS.

Grocery stores there have in general raised prices more than we have here. Suspect we aren’t far behind on that.  Restaurants might also have, but not being a customer at both places, I don’t know by how much.  Though the kinfolk mentioned some grocery stores in particular having increases, and they expect more to come. They will come through this all right, having had parents who taught them about money, how to save it through Piggy Banks at an early age and more ways as they got older.  Their house is paid for as are their vehicles.

OK Shannon, you may have me beat with all that ambience and stuff but sister came over and I fixed some Bambi Backstraps wrapped in poblano peppers and bacon, cooked in my new Lodge Dutch oven. I also made Charro Beans, rice, real Mac N Cheese, gravy and yeast rolls. Mmm Mmm. Good Stuff Maynard. Yup, Life is Good in my world. 😉

    I forgive you.

Anyone interested, look up the final lap at the NASCAR race at Martinsville today. I didn’t watch the race but it’s everywhere. Ross Chastain took a risk and it paid off, big time.

Dog sitting for our son is over tonight, she is a good dog and minds well but it’s good to be back to normal. Her and Buddy get along ok but he is enjoying his peace and quiet we can tell lol.

I didn’t think she’d ever leave… Jus’ kidding I love my sister but it was my wife that made that statement. For you folks in Rio Linda that was a joke and wife and sister have been friends since before I managed to get my wife to notice me.

    Well I’m done, later Gang.
