Does it feel like there just is not enough time in the day? Well it seems that the earth might be spinning faster.
Earth is spinning faster than normal, and we just had our shortest day in recent history
Scientists claim that on June 29, 2022, the Earth spun faster than normal, making it the shortest day recorded since the 1960s.
But wait there is more.
Zotov and a team of scientists recently published a study outlining possible hypotheses for Earth’s new accelerated rotation.
They reported that the Earth has been turning faster since 2016. According to the Guardian, 2020 had 28 of the shortest days recorded in the last 50 years. (Not every day, however, is shorter than 24 hours.)

a decay in the “Chandler Wobble” may be what is causing the change in acceleration. The Chandler Wobble involves the movement of geographical poles across the surface of the globe, as Earth is a living, moving planet.
If our Chandler keeps wobbling we have to adjust the atomic clock with a negative leap second. But wait
a negative leap second has never been used, there have been, in total, 27 positive leap seconds (one second added to clocks) implemented about every year and a half (on average), according to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
I suppose just like everything else in this world, an out of balance Chandler wobble is par for the course. I’m sure the scientist of the world will think of a way to slow our earth so we are not slung off into space. And now a little musical interlude. Oh wait never. mind the music just flew off the platter.

I spent Five Thousand Four Hundred Dollars on a new AC system. I didn’t replace the heater part because it’s still works fine.
To cool 1280 square feet, ten months out of the year.
No telling what it would cost for a system to properly cool a much bigger house in New Jersey for 2 months a year.
There’s advantages to having a non ice making fridge but I LOVE having tons of ice and not dealing with ice trays.
We need to jump on the long white beard just to keep up with Jerry Garcia.
I gave up filtered cigarettes about nine years ago.
My ice maker is currently on the fritz. I haven’t tried diagnosing it yet. I never really use ice that much anyway. Can’t see going back to ice trays though.
