Yeah, we’ve been waiting for this headline to appear:
Ghislaine Maxwell on suicide watch, lawyer says ‘she is not suicidal’

Ghislaine Maxwell, who was found guilty of sex trafficking of a minor and conspiracy to abuse underage girls, has been placed in solitary confinement and is on suicide watch.

According to the New York Post, Maxwell’s lawyer, Bobby Sternheim, said Saturday that “Ghislaine Maxwell is on suicide watch — but isn’t really suicidal.” Sternheim claims Maxwell was put in solitary confinement on placed on suicide watch “without justification,” adding “She [Maxwell] is not suicidal.” He adds that Maxwell’s June 28th sentencing, where she will face the possibility of up to 55 years in prison, may need to be delayed.

In a letter to U.S. Circuit Judge Alison Nathan Sternheim argued that, “If Ms. Maxwell remains on suicide watch, is prohibited from reviewing legal materials prior to sentencing, becomes sleep-deprived, and is denied sufficient time to meet with and confer with counsel, we will be formally moving on Monday for an adjournment.”

Maxwell was a concupiscible accomplice in Jeffrey Epstein’s child molestation and abuse and was found guilty of five of six counts reflecting her assistance to the man who ran a pedophile island. Prior to Maxwell and Epstein’s fall from grace they were beloved socialites who cozied up to elites such as Bill Gates, Prince Andrew, and the Clintons.

    Good morning out there all you couch critters.  No rain out here although the promised cool front does not seem to have made it quite this far south just yet.  mh, you should tell us what your favorite airline mystery crash is and we could use that for a topic of discussion.  Obviously the 2 747s that crashed on the runway at Tenerif  was the worst one, but there are several that still have some controversy surrounding the final findings.

    In other news, as I mentioned yesterday, Ole Miss defeated OU to win the national baseball title.  College baseball has been coming on strong for several years now and is really establishing itself as the primary college spring sport,.  And it really does feature some good future MLB players.

    In just a few short weeks, I’ll be traveling to Big D to meet up with BFF’s estate executor who will attempt to get probate completed and sign off on the disposition of her remaining assets and get things closed out.  A reminder to get your affairs in order, make certain that someone knows where your will and other paperwork is located, and express your desires verbally to eliminate any confusion or conflicting statements.  This should  hopefully get BFF’s passing behind up and let us all get back on the track of living life to its fullest while we still can.   And there is a serious but wonderful side story going on here that is a silver lining to this cloud, and that’s where the future focus of things will be directed.  Us old folks gotta stick together, especially the single ones.  And sharing life stories, warts and all, is good for the soul I think.

    Yup, Arkancide was the very first thing I thought of when I heard this. So now we wait and see how long it takes them to pull the trigger.

    My Mystery Plane crash has always been the July 17, 1996 Flight 800 Boeing 747 out of NY to Paris. I followed the details for years but I don’t think they ever had a definitive conclusion.

    The WSJ ran a piece on a book Called Stinger by Doug Horning published 1990. I bought it and read it. The details are almost exactly what happened to fligh 800.

     

    The WSJ also ran a front page article about 75 mysterious deaths of people affiliated to The Clinton’s around 1997.  They ran this while Billy Boy was still President.

    I used cut these out and save them. They are somewhere in a box in the house.

    The Wall Street Journal used to have some good articles but something happened around 2004 and dropped my subscription.

    AND; Ron Brown’s Death Still A Mystery.

    When the Air Force plane carrying Secretary of Commerce Ron Brown crashed in Croatia in April 1996, rumors immediately circulated that the beacon that was supposed to guide the plane to the airport had been set to guide the plane into the mountain nearby. This was allegedly done by an employee at the airport who was found shot to death three days later. His death was declared a suicide. When it became known that the beacon at the airport had a fixed setting that could not be changed, the story changed. It was said that a portable beacon had been set up on the mountain to lure the plane off course.

    At the time, we were skeptical of this story, which was widely circulated by a publication called Wall Street Underground. It seemed to us to be a concoction based on imagination, not on factual evidence. However, thanks to the persistent efforts of Hugh Sprunt, a Texas tax expert and part-time investigator of political crimes, we now have evidence supporting the rumor that the plane carrying Ron Brown was deliberately guided to crash into the mountain.

    Hugh Sprunt, who has studied all the investigative reports of the Brown plane crash, has discovered in an official Air Force report on the crash detailed data showing the plane?s course based on AWACS airborne radar. The radar shows that when the plane was within four minutes of touching down at Dubrovnik, it suddenly changed course radically. It turned to the left almost 90 degrees. A few seconds later, it made a U turn back to the right. It then fixed on a course with a heading of 110 degrees, which it followed for over a minute, ending with the plane crashing into the mountain, nearly two miles off course.

    A woman awakes during the night to find that her husband is not in bed. She puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. She finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a hot cup of coffee in front of him. He appears to be in deep thought, just staring at the wall. She watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of his coffee.
    ‘What’s the matter, dear’ she whispers as she steps into the room, ‘Why are you down here at this time of night
    The husband looks up from his coffee, ‘It’s the 20th Anniversary of the day we met’.
    She can’t believe he has remembered and starts to tear up.
    The husband continues, ‘Do you remember 20 years ago when we started dating, I was 18 and you were only 16,’ he says solemnly.
    Once again, the wife is touched to tears. ‘Yes, I do’ she replies.
    The husband pauses The words were not coming easily. ‘Do you remember when your father caught us in the back seat of my car’
    ‘Yes, I remember’ said the wife, lowering herself into the chair beside him.
    The husband continued. ‘Do you remember when he shoved the shotgun in my face and said, “Either you marry my daughter or I will send you to prison for 20 years’

    The Dobbs decision took its first political casualty over the weekend, when Republican candidate for Rhode Island state Senate Jeann Lugo suspended his campaign on Saturday, after a video posted online showing him hitting opposing democrat candidate Jennifer Rourke at a protest over the decision.

    Lugo told reporters that he’d “stepped in to protect someone that a group of agitators was attacking.” He doesn’t remember what happened very well, explaining “it was very chaotic, so I can’t really tell you right now. Everything happened very fast.”

    Here’s a pro-tip: Always assume you are on camera when you are out of the house, and govern yourself accordingly.

    [NOTE: I reported this story yesterday…] Democrat candidate for the U.S. Senate Krystle Matthews, who is also a South Carolina state representative, is experiencing some political turbulence after Project Veritas published audio from a recorded jailhouse call this weekend.

    It’s not clear how Matthews knew the inmate, but in the call she is apparently soliciting campaign donations from drug sales, and trying to organize “sleepers” to pretend to be Republicans and run for office in red counties to take over local offices in South Carolina.

    But don’t worry, this isn’t an insurrection, because she isn’t a Republican. Anyway, Matthews said, and I apologize for her bad grammar:

    “We need some secret sleepers. Like you need, we need them to run as the other side, even though they for our side. And we need them to win. We need people to run as Republicans in these local elections.”

    Hahahahaha! You know it’s bad when they conclude they can’t win as democrats but have to pretend to be Republicans to succeed.

    She explained that, after sleepers are elected, they can pretend to fight with democrats, but secretly tear the Republican party apart from the inside:

    “We can battle ‘em in public all day. As long as we know we working for the same goal. For me, I feel like, ya’ll we need sleepers. When we get enough of us in there, we can wreak havoc for real from the inside out. Then we can flip some sh— from the inside out.”

    Even though she’s running for the United States Senate, and in spite of her grammatical handicaps, her daffy scheme proves what I have been saying all along: it’s all about LOCAL ELECTIONS:

    “We gotta take back some of these seats, especially in these local elections. We need a group of sleepers.”


    Sadly, Matthews has — for some reason — been struggling to raise money.     Maybe that’s why she’s calling the jail for help, apparently not knowing that all jailhouse calls are recorded. I assume she ignored the recorded message when she called her incarcerated friend:

    “And I still gotta struggle to raise money for my campaign? Where the fu— is my black people with money? I don’t care about no dope money! Gimme that dope boy money!”

    Unfortunately, at this point in the call, Matthews was just warming to her theme, and continued, described her illegal fundraising ambitions in more detail:

    “Sh—, where the f—king dope? Where the duffel bag boys? Get you — find me somebody from your family that don’t even know your donating to my campaign and put that sh— under they names.”


    Matthews seems not to have considered that maybe black Americans aren’t stupid, and are starting to see the scam. Even the drug dealers:

    “Honestly, these ain’t the same type of black people that I grew up around. I don’t recognize these black people. So I [garbled] black because I don’t understand the type of black that they are. Now, can I talk intelligently?”

    No. Not at all. She continued:

    “Listen, I can move in all kind of circles…”

    Maybe Matthews meant she can RUN in all kinds of circles. As if the illegal campaign funding scheme weren’t bad enough, the representative for ALL the people in her district then admitted she’s racist:

    “…but I’m a n—— at heart. I love black people. I feel safest around my people. I’m very much a n—— in a lot of ways, but I know how to turn it off and turn it on.”

    Returning to her illegal campaign scheme ideas, she then solicited help for a stealthy plan to destroy private property to aid her campaign:

    “We need some folks that can wear all black at night and take they f—king yard signs down. When they sleeping. We ain’t gotta make a lot of noise about it. We ain’t gotta, we ain’t gotta go live about it. Just don’t say sh—. Just like when somebody drop money and you pick it up. You pick up that sh— and keep walking.”

    I guess Ms. Matthews won’t win the humanitarian of the year award this year. She must have thought that, if you need some criminals, the best place to call is the prison, right? It may not have been the best decision she’s ever made. It also suggests that the democrat party is having trouble coming up with decent candidates; a kind of political implosion.

    And, is it just me? When Matthews described “sleeper candidates,” I was reminded of Wyoming Republican Liz Cheney.

    Speaking of sleeper candidate Cheney, The Hill ran a story last week headlined, “Cheney Urging Wyoming Democrats to Switch Parties to Vote for Her in Primary.”

    Cheney’s campaign website explains to democrat voters exactly how they can switch their party affiliation to vote in the Republican primary, helpfully providing a link to Wyoming’s voter registration change form. The New York Times also reported on Thursday that Cheney’s campaign has been mailing Wyoming DEMOCRAT voters — not Republicans in her own party — and giving them tips about how to vote as Republicans in the primary.

    I’m not sure you can really call Cheney a “sleeper” agent if she’s OPENLY soliciting democrats to win the GOP primary. I guess what she’s doing is looking for “sleeper voters.”

    Wyoming lets voters switch their party by mail up to 14 days before the primary, and voters can also switch their party affiliation right at the polls. I have two words for you, Wyoming: “closed primaries.” That’s how we did it in Florida.

    According to the most recent government report, something just hit Taiwan’s population dynamics with a two-by-four. In the post-jab period of May 2021 to May 2022, deaths increased +15%, and births fell -23%, creating a 38% gap. Experts are baffled.

    Taiwan is a particularly informative example, because the pandemic did not start there until April 2022 — i.e., this year:

    By the time the pandemic began in Taiwan, over 80% of adults had already been jabbed.     They got Pfizer (29%), Moderna (36%), and AstraZeneca (29%). Yes, of course, the safe and effective jabs failed to stop Taiwan’s pandemic, we’d already noticed that one.

    The other so-far unidentified mystery cause somehow INCREASED deaths and DECREASED births. The one thing we do know is it wasn’t covid, since the virus didn’t even arrive in Taiwan till this year. So … if it wasn’t covid, what ELSE changed in Taiwan, hmm?? It’s so weird.

    Well, at least one thing we know for sure is it CAN’T POSSIBLY be the safe and effective jabs. The politicians, government agencies, the experts, and your doctor PROMISED they were 100% safe for pregnancy and did NOT affect fertility IN ANY WAY.

    Admittedly, I did not follow the “Q” story last year, but I did notice with great interest this weekend that the anonymous pro-Trump conspiracy theorist is back. The most interesting thing is that I found out through anti-Trump corporate media: the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Hill, HuffPo, you name it, they all ran breathless breaking news articles reporting that the mysterious “Q” had “returned,” from somewhere, and has posted a few short, bland, non-newsworthy messages.

    Here’s a tiny brief. “Q” is a person or group of people — nobody knows — that first posted a long series of cryptic messages describing Trump’s alleged plan to arrest and prosecute top officials, many of them democrats, who are allegedly responsible for running a massive, worldwide, government-involved child abduction and trafficking ring. Later, Q would post about Trump’s plan to reverse a stolen election.

    Neither arrests or reverse elections actually happened.

    A lot of folks followed or supported Q. Since then, Q’s followers have been blamed for most of the chaos at the Capitol on January 6th, and the media generally describes them as kooky, gullible seditionists. Maybe the best example of media treatment is the Capitol riot’s widely-pictured goofy, shirtless guy with the viking-horn helmet, who corporate media has dubbed the “Qanon Shaman.”

    Q mysteriously stopped posting around January 6th, 2021. Now Q is back, and I don’t know what it means, or if it means anything REAL (and given how Q triggers the media, let’s not talk about it in the comments), but whoever or whatever it is, “Q” sure has the leftist corporate media terrified.

    Sanity landed in Demark last week. Søren Brostrøm, director general of the Danish Health Authority, told local media that, depending on the information that has developed since late 2021, it had been INCORRECT to generally immunize children.

    “I want to look all parents of children who have vaccinated their child in the eye and say, ‘You did the right thing and thank you for listening,’” Brostrøm said. “But at the same time—and this is the important thing to maintain confidence—I will admit and say that we have become wiser and we would not do the same today. And we will not do that in the future either,” he added.

    “Children and adolescents only very rarely have a serious course of COVID-19 with the Omicron variant, which is why the offer of primary vaccination for children between 5 and 17 years will not be a general offer, but can be given after specific medical assessment,” Danish authorities said on Wednesday.

    Maybe Sanity can fly to the United States next. I think this might be the very first expert admitting they got it wrong.

    *THE MINORITY REPORT*

    According to Reuters, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Thursday that “Russia and Iran have been cooperating as part of international efforts to stabilize oil and gas markets.” At the televised briefing in Tehran, Lavrov also said that there was full agreement on the need to safeguard Iran’s interests “in its activities.”

    Activities. I’m guessing Lavrov was making a veiled threat against Israel and the U.S. over meddling in Iran’s nuclear program.

    In a recent briefing from Moscow, Lavrov offered some advice to people troubled by the Ukraine war. He said (imagine the thick Russian accent):

    If you cannot sleep at night because of Russia-Ukrainian conflict, there are some advices to calm you down. Imagine that this is happening in Africa. Imagine this is happening in Middle East. Imagine Ukraine is Palestine. Imagine Russia is the United States.

    Ouch.

    According to widespread media reports, Russia captured several more cities in Ukraine this weekend, and more significantly, fired missiles into Ukraine’s capital city Kyiv.     Russia had been taking a “hands off” approach to western Ukraine and its capital, to the point that crowds of photo-op seeking, frail, elderly U.S. politicians like Nancy Pelosi were making downtown Kyiv look busier than a snack bar at a football stadium.

    Russian media says the missiles were directed at weapons manufacturing plants in Kyiv. Ukrainian media says the missiles were aimed at residential buildings. I’m not taking sides, but missiles are expensive. It seems more likely that Russia would use them to strategically take out weapons plants, but I’m not there.

    What we do know is that the strikes appear coordinated with a weekend meeting of the G7 summit     talks in Munich, Germany attended by, among others, Justin Trudeau, Boris Johnson, and Joe Biden. So you know it was serious.

    According to Biden’s official tweet yesterday, the world’s best and brightest deliberated carefully and agreed to ban the import of … Russian gold! That will show them.

    Believe it or not, I’m cutting Nanzi some slack on this one.
    If you listen carefully, the photographer says that he needs a photo which includes “the pastor”. Nanzi acknowledges that request, waves for the Pastor to come up, simultaneously nudges the little girl to make room for the pastor.
    Texpat insists that she should have had the presence of mind to know she was nudging a child in the head/shoulder area.

    Light crowd at TOK this morning.  Cook was out, so they only had breakfast tacos but no custom orders.  No new real stories to deal with today either.  Getting a little break in the temperatures today due to mild cold front – only looking at 95 or so for a high instead of the usual 105 or more.  I’m even getting outside and doing a few little chores while it’s still cooler than usual.

    I don’t know about any of the other accidents reported in that article, but if even half of them are of the size of the East Conway Beef & Pork Meat Market in Conway, N.H. that they report as having a big impact, I can tell you it ain’t much of an impact. I’ve been there. It literally IS a butcher shop. Most of the meat there is butchered from carcasses coming in from out of State as there just ain’t all that much cattle ranching going on in the White Mountains of NH, and the middle third of NH where East Conway is located is either State or National Forest. The two cows that were killed were probably in the process of being “retired” from a dairy farm nearby.

    Fear porn. Both sides use it.

    Since I’ve been through 5 major airports 8 times in 13 days in the month of June I figure I’m the one who brought the Covid here to Bellville.

    It only makes sense given the massive crowds in packed terminals with minimal air filtration as opposed to plane cabins which have the cleanest air possible.

    The last time I traveled in November 2019, I got back to NJ with a very intense sinus upper respiratory infection I suspect was the original Covid.

    The irony is I live in Bergen County, NJ, the epicenter of US Covid outbreak and never caught it there all this time.

    #27 – Never think that this is the final word on non-citizens voting.  The Dems never ever give up on an issue just because they lose one round.  They have to be thoroughly destroyed and run through a blender such that they cannot be reconstituted for one of their pet projects to go away.  So, this is not over yet – just round one.

    Only registering about 90 degrees so far today, 10-15 degrees cooler than normal for lately.  Almost pleasant outside.

    Squawk I’m like you and Mharper I watch way too much stuff late into the night and then wonder why I’m dragging in the morning.

    I hate to admit it but Face Book has  a pretty good Chanel that shows clips from around the World.

    I like the construction related ones.

    All the 3rd world countries can take nothing and make something out of it.

    No expensive Dewalt or Milwaukee tools just get r done stuff.

    No OSHA No PPE just get r done.

    Fun stuff to watch just a shame it is attached to Fake Book.

    One last note.

    By what metrics and criteria do they establish you have COVID?

    I got certified to be an Asbestos Inspector etc. and we were told in training Asbestos is present in the ambient air so many parts per million.

    Could the same be said about COVID.

    I bet Super Dave can shed some light on this too.

    Holy cow, it’s 4:00 already?!

    Where did my day go? I did gardening this morning, stringing up some vines and injecting/inspecting my squash. Thought I killed a BFH, but when I doubled back to check, it was gone. I hope it’s sick enough to drop dead somewhere else so I won’t have to deal with it again. Found more eggs. I’ll never be done with those vbm’s.

    Then I decided to come inside and process some food powders: onion and tomato. I had dried the chunks yesterday, but I wanted to be VERY sure they were dry (and the onion powder was too clumpy and really needed more drying), so I ran ’em through Fred again and jarred them up. Drying the powder makes sure that the final product is storage worthy, with little if any moisture. While that was happening, I began prepping my cucumbers for pickling. They are processing now and should be coming out of the water bath in a few minutes. With the food handling, dish washing, etc., the time just flew by today.

    I’ll have to fix Hubby’s dinner here in a bit…

    I’m being so domestic these days.

    The youngest boy’s summer league swimming Meet of Champions was postponed due to the thunderstorms. They were at the FBISD training pool which is technically inside, however, there are six large overhead doors on each side of the building. When they open those, it’s considered an outdoor pool that has to follow the 30 min without thunder rule before swim can resume.

    This time the kids stayed dry, but I imagine the poor parents got soaked. We had some very strong gusts of wind when the thunderstorms first hit. I was not there since I have been experiencing some motility issues again with the ol’ digestive track. I am still losing weight because I can’t keep much down right now.

    A friend of mine has a Tundra and changed his own windshield wipers.

    He was just finishing the last one and the wiper slipped out of his had and hit the windshield just hard enough to Crack it.

    I can’t remember what the final cost was to have a new windshield put in and New Inspection Sticker but it was more than having someone else put the wipers on!

    I bought a Tundra sometime later and everytime the wipers need to be replaced I just let Toyota do it.

    Yes I am around, thanks for axing. Been in the hospital all week but they don’t know what’s wrong yet. Initially I was dehydrated and potassium was low, had to get those numbers up before they could continue. Came got me got me for CT Scan with dye at 3:30AM but not seen doc all day.

    Much better today though still feeling weak and punk. The sneezing has stopped as have the waterworks that used up a box or so of Kleenex. Nice not to have a waterfall in the nose so I can get much better sleep for a longer time. Spouse is better also and should be out of quarantine on Wednesday. He keeps up with the medical advice for those who have this #Q&ss! evil thing. I am too miserable to look up the info. Meals are still ice cream time, though maybe I can try some crackers tonight. No appetite at all to speak of.

    We’ve had a light sprinkle here and are still overcast so maybe there’s more to come.

    Well as usual I had a busy day, I didn’t accomplish a whole lot but was busy all day. I did get all the fascia boards on the target frame and painted them with some leftover beige looking, exterior paint. FWIW; I was only looking for, A) exterior paint and B) something whiteish. I also whacked down a couple of Sweetgum’s at the pond and with all the small trees that the wife cleared along the dirt road I’ll have to get the wood chipper out in the morning. It might take an hour but I’m guessing less time than that.
    Still no rain but they say that we’ll have 50% tomorrow and 60% on Wednesday but I’m not holding my breath.

    Gail said she tried to log in to Hamous but kept getting error messages.

    Here’s her message via FB:

    I took him to the ER last Monday night because he had pain in his leg for 4 weeks (this was after 3 doctor visits). The last doctor was a vascular doctor who said he had a blockage. They found out his kidneys were shutting down because he was dehydrated and had to get those numbers up before they could do any more tests. Finally did a cat scan with dye. They found his aorta aneurysm had a leak and there was a bad blockage in the area where the arteries fork off to the rest of the body. Doctor came in last Saturday and told Tim they were doing surgery Monday. As of last night at 9:30 it was obvious there was not gonna be a surgery today. Went up there today and waited for doctors to come in as we were told they would be in in the afternoon or evening. At 4:30 there was an explosion at the nurse’s desk – yes, I was a full blown Karen! Wasn’t too many minutes after that and the doctor was on the phone. Some explanations were given but they are going to come meet with us tomorrow between 9-2 to give us details. He does have to have surgery and they are going to repair the aneurysm and fix the blockage. Tomorrow we will find out when. Thank you guys for checking in on him. I will keep you updated as we know more. And, yes he is at Memorial Herman in The Woodlands. Doesn’t surprise me they couldn’t find him. Again, thank you guys. I just ask that you keep him in your prayers.

    Wow – a leaking aneurysm masquerading as shingles, or along WITH shingles… When I had them, I was told shingles would not kill you – only make you wish they would… But anti-virals have come so far since the 80’s… Evidently, efficient communication in medical settings, not so much.  Many prayers

    It has been said here before but it is worth mentioning again.

    Thank God For Trump!

    If Historians can be honest? Trump should go down as the greatest Prez ever.

    He wasn’t my first choice and I was slow to warm up to him but after a month or so it was evident he was the real deal.

    Steve Bannon I believe was a driving force on policy and I used to think Pence was on board.  When things started to get tough he showed his true colors.

    The quandary folks is:

    If Trump and DeSantis both run in 2024 and they will. Who do we vote for?

    DeSantis is young and has no excess baggage.

    Trump is seasoned and has proven he is more than capable but he seems to be a magnet for petty political retaliation.

    Maybe he likes the fight?

    Just musing about all the conservative accomplishments that were achieved in the last 24hrs.

    Kinda waiting for the other shoe to drop!
