Lovable Lib Bro lives in San Diego. I wonder how he feels about defunding the police? He’s blocked me on Facebook so I can’t tell.

But then, he’s paid many thousands of dollars to have his head frozen and thawed out later, so I guess that if thugs break into his home and kill him, they’ll be sure to place ice around his head and call the number on his bracelet for him.

  4. Sarge Avatar

Ya know, once upon a time there was a country that set up an alternative police force. They wore brown shirts—–

  5. Hamous Avatar

Economists were expecting another 8 million jobs lost in May. We recovered 2.5 million instead. The biggest increase on record.

  6. Hamous Avatar

But then, he’s paid many thousands of dollars to have his head frozen and thawed out later,

I wonder if he’ll get a container next to Ted Williams’ head. Or maybe Walt Disney.

  7. Hamous Avatar

I know he’s your brother, and I don’t mean to be disrespectful, but that seems like the ultimate expression of vanity.

  8. Tedtam Avatar

If you’re an atheist and don’t believe in an afterlife, that’s the closest he gets to eternal happiness, I guess.

I’ve seen many articles, etc. about defunding the police. Seems to me that may not be entirely bad if the defundage is targeted at certain areas of the police force.

I’m pretty convinced even major metropolitan police forces do not need MRAP’s, huge SWAT units, etc. if they stuck to community policing, everyone might benefit.

How would the head-freezing thing work if you got smushed by a truck or died in a fire?

I’m guessing it wouldn’t. Would he get a refund to be passed on to his estate? I have no idea. Not my business.

He has one illegitimate son with whom he reconnected after being out of the country for many years. He has a divorced wife with whom he is still on very amiable terms. I’m guessing one or both of them would be entitled to his head fund.

Maybe there’s a gofundme for frozen heads they could donate it to.

And now that we got cloning wouldn’t it be easier to save a few cells instead of your head?

    All Black Lives Matter

    Officer Miosotis Familia

An on-duty New York City police officer was killed early Wednesday after a gunman walked up to a police vehicle and fired one round through a window, authorities said.

Officer Miosotis Familia, a 12-year veteran assigned to the New York City Police Department’s 46th Precinct’s anti-crime unit, was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, where she was pronounced dead at 3:37 a.m. ET. She was 48 years old, according to police sources.

At a press conference Wednesday morning, New York City Police Commissioner James P. O’Neill said Familia was shot in the head in an “unprovoked attack” while sitting with her partner in a marked police command vehicle on the corner of Morris Avenue and East 183 Street in the Bronx around 12:30 a.m. He told reporters the vehicle had been parked there since March because of increased gang activity in the area.

Michelle Malkin has had her Twitter account taken down or content removed several times. This is just one of the recent examples.

I saw in one of her Tweets that she has a Telegram channel. Telegram is a competitor of WhatsApp. WhatsApp is a messaging app that I use to stay in contact with friends around the world. You can message, record your voice, call, and do video chats within the app.

WhatsApp was bought by Facebook a couple of years ago. We all know how FB treats your data… you are basically a commodity. FB vowed to keep messages private and to not introduce ads into the service. I still use WhatsApp and I haven’t seen evidence of  nefarious actions by FB, but what do I know?

Telegram’s genesis springs out of providing an alternative to WhatsApp that stays true to the original privacy and end to end encryption originally espoused by WhatsApp. I had never heard of a Telegram Channel until this morning. I am now following Michelle Malkin’s Telegram Channel.

I think this is a great way for conservative voices to still get their message out in the face of big tech censorship. I did a quick search to see if I could find other conservative channels, but I couldn’t find any others.

Hmmm… another reminder from the City of Sugar Land on their FB page to only flush the Three P’s.

To flush or not to flush? That is the question. Sugar Land, we’ve seen an uptick in clogged pipes and pumps since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. Let’s make sure we’re only flushing the three P’s: pee, poo and paper.

I once had a job cleaning sanitary sewers. People flush hypodermic syringes, toys, socks, condoms (AKA bottle nosed sewer trout), razor blades; just name it and if it fits down the bowl, it gets flushed.

I had a friend that used to work for the Quail Valley Water Management District. He took care of potable water, sanitary sewer, and storm water sewage. One of the biggest things that causes clogs are the flushed wipes. (baby or adult)

What happens when you shut down your police department ?

A huge ramification for cities closing down their police departments will be an enormous increase in insurance policies for theft, burglary, vandalism and other property damages.  Fire insurance will be prohibitively expensive because insurance companies will tell you a large percentage of fires are reported by police patrol cars.  The liability insurance for the cities and municipalities themselves without police will be so expensive they won’t be able to afford it or they will have to self insure.  Auto insurance will become impossible to buy and so will homeowner insurance therefore nobody will be able to get a mortgage.

I went back to the restaurant, went INSIDE (already fuming), asked to speak to the manager and then threw the sandwich on the counter. I asked him for an explanation.
