Speaking of pigeons flying rats, I guess that y’all knew Cedar Waxwings love Juniper berries? There were only about 6,000 in the huge Cedar by the house today, they tried to paint my truck yesterday but it was just far enough away that they only bombed it few times. The Cedar is absolutely covered with the dang berries. FWIW; I’ve… Read more »
Dodgers, Angels, Padres, Mariners, Rockies, Twins, Brewers, Reds, White Sox, Cubs, Blue Jays, Indians, Rangers, Tigers, Marlins, Phillies. We don’t have an office in New York but there are Yankees fans everywhere. I think the only place I haven’t heard from is Toronto. I think they’re just too nice.
I feel your pain. My company has locations in many baseball cities. The phone rings, I see the internal number and know why they’re calling. I just sigh, pick up the phone, and take the medicine. Dodger fans are the worst.

I’m trying hard not to be a homer with the Astros cheating stuff, they did it, it ain’t fair. If the Patriots did something similar, I’d be PO’ed. But I’m not buying the buzzer stuff, the only evidence they got is Altuve not wanting to take his shirt off. And it’s settled the cheating was simply the garbage can banging… Read more »

I had a lot of bird seed out on the patio that got soaked in recent rains, and was germinating in place. It appears that Kansas City is going to the Super Bowl, as the Chiefs are
defeating the Oilers’ successors the Titans 35-17 in the 4th quarter. And it
is cold there, can see everybody’s breath on the field. It’s 20F according to the KS weather folk. Brrr.

ALWAYS bring beer!
Well, the only fancy beer I have is some local stuff that I got for the kids, Folklore, Front Porch and Snipe Hunt. The Boy found Snipe Hunt when he was here for Christmas 2015, both my kids/spouses were here then…Dang 2015?!
BTW; What’s in your Gumbo, and what time do I need to be there, and, do I need to bring beer?
Classic chicken and sausage gumbo using andouille. An old coonass taught me shortly after I moved here. He said, “Make chicken & sausage or make seafood gumbo. Don’t done mix ’em up.”
About an hour. ALWAYS bring beer!

Trump repealing the Wookie’s school lunch rules, on her birthday, will go down in history as one of the greatest acts of trollage in the history of trolling.
Donald Trump has not only overturned Obama’s legislative legacy, he has proven the entire Barack Obama narrative for the demise of the American Dream to be a monumental lie before all the eyes of history.

Back to winter we are, greeted by a delightfully chilly 45 this morning and only 57 now. Nice and very windy in spurts, acorns still bouncing off the garden room metal roof occasionally.
