Life Magazine published Drama of Life Before Birth in 1965 and the issue was such a sensation it sold out in about two days. Swedish photographer Lennart Nilsson also released his book A Child Is Born in the same year. The book is still in print and had been published in over 20 languages.
In 1965, Swedish photojournalist Lennart Nilsson published what was to become one of the most successful photographic book of all time – A Child is Born. From the first ovary fecundation to the last stage of fetal development, the book documents the birth of a new human being in beautiful detail. With millions of copies sold, the book, now in its fourth edition, was also included aboard the NASA probes Voyager 1 and Voyager 2 – the first man made objects set to leave our solar system.
and,
You might be asking yourself how in the world did Nilsson manage to put a camera in the womb – the sad truth is Nilsson actually photographed abortus material obtained from women who terminated their pregnancies under the liberal Swedish law. Working with dead embryos allowed Nilsson to experiment with lighting, background and positions, such as placing the thumb into the fetus’ mouth. Ironically or not, pro-life activists of the 1960s and 1970s appropriated these images and used them in their campaigns.
I see no irony in knowing these photos are of aborted children. In fact, I think it makes the message of human life in the womb even more powerful. Those poor children killed before birth at least served a noble purpose in bringing these images to mankind.
Lennart Nilsson went on to create in 1982 the film Miracle of Life using this time new microimagery techniques he developed to capture images of living babies in the womb. He produced a sequel Life’s Greatest Miracle for PBS’s Nova program in 2001. Both proved to be among the most popular programs ever televised by PBS.

The Brits have a pattern of allowing Muslims to openly abuse and sexually assault young women. An Asian grooming gang was free to roam the streets and abuse young girls because police officers were told to “find other ethnicities” to investigate, a detective has claimed. At least 57 young girls are thought to have been exploited by a paedophile network… Read more »

Trump responded to a tweet Khamenei sent out on Friday, the same day that he gave his first public sermon in eight years. The 80-year-old leader tweeted that America was “villainous” and accused the United States of wanting to stab the Iranian people “in the heart.” Trump, writing in Farsi, responded, “The noble people of Iran, who love America, deserve… Read more »

I’ve never been to Florida, but I’ve seen enough in media to get an idea what it looks – and perhaps- feels like, in certain areas.
After reading your #46, I hereby nominate the I-35 corridor as Florida, Tx.

HAYS COUNTY, Texas — Hays County has become the fastest growing county in Texas, according to the U.S. Census, and that’s because of cities such as Kyle and Buda. Here we are on Friday evening waiting for some rain before a weather front pushes it elsewhere. We could use a half an inch or so. It will be nice to return to winter temps tomorrow. 1936 GMC Streamliners Parade of Progress Trucks None of these survived to my knowledge. This is pretty amazing. Several days ago, Trump’s campaign manager Brad Parscale posted statistics from last week’s rally held in Toledo, OH, which showed that 43% of attendees identified as either Democratic or Independent. I called that figure “stunning” in a recent post. But the same statistic from Trump’s Tuesday night rally in Wisconsin can only be described as staggering. 57.8% of registrants… Read more »
