Heading into the building a few minutes ago, I saw the female set of twins at the corner of the Loading dock, mom nowhere in sight. One was lying under the oak tree and the other one was grazing around looking for the last acorns of the season. I walked within 10 feet of them and they just stared at me, it’s amazing how tame they are this time of year.
That would be the does and yearlings, I think that I mentioned the two big bucks that weren’t at all tame, that I saw last week….Well, out here they are somewhat tame, in that you can get pretty close to them compared to a wild buck. -

Morning gang. A little ducky out here this morning, but we never turn down a little rain – heck we are happy to just get a cloud every now and then. The President visits Texas today, and the Dems are all prepared to have him in the Dem sectors of south Texas so that they can tell him off. And despite the best efforts of the media, I’m not feeling any pain for the government workers who are planning to miss a pay check tomorrow. There are plenty of resources out there among banks and credit unions who are advertising their plans to assist them, so please, spare me the sob stories. When most people get laid off, they have to go get another job, and they don’t get paid for the days they miss between jobs. Anyway, you all have a great day, and I’ll report in later.

I am pretty sure that we could get at least 95% of both Republicans and Democrats to agree that slavery was and is wrong and should never be seen in this country again. Yet interestingly enough, the Ds want to enslave all of the healthcare practitioners to the federal government via the scam “Medicare for all.” If there is Medicare for all, then it stands to reason that all in healthcare would, by fiat, then work for the federal govt, right?
What would follow, as surely as day follows night, is that these people would be forced to join the federal union and pay union dues. These dues would flow almost exclusively to the Ds as they have in the past. The end result, which is the ultimate goal, is that the Ds will be cemented in power and they will have dominion over what is currently about 20% of the US economy. The quality of healthcare for We The People will greatly diminish and wait times will increase. Doctors will work harder for less money and may decide to leave medicine. As we all can easily predict, the healthcare for those in political power will not suffer at all and those in power will claim that everything is just groovy – because none of the BS that will plague We The People will affect them personally at all.Just like what always happens in societies, there are a group of people who will stop at nothing to accrue power to themselves at the expense of the individuals, society at large and the country they pretend to serve. This describes 90 + % of the Ds and about 60% of the Rs.
Nuke them from orbit – just to be sure.

My longtime sidekick/coworker, here at the Rocket Ranch, retired early, about this time last year. We were going to have a going away party for him but he was having to take care of his wife, (the reason for the early retirement) so it kept on being put off. We also had a NASA Shuttle Launch picture, signed and the company had some sort of gift for him.
Anyway, I called him this morning to see if he wanted to meet a couple of us for lunch at Boondoggles and then he asked me if I’d talk to our supervisor and get his picture and stuff to bring to him. Well, our supervisor kinda’ invited himself along to present him with the stuff. Sort of an impromptu sign off. So I contacted a few of his other friends and even though it was short notice we had about 8 folks to show up. This was almost all of us old timers that are left so it turned out to be a nice get-together…..Oh and the Brick Oven cooked, Jambalaya Pizza was delicious. -

Man, it sucks when OH takes a day off….
I’m about to call Comcast and tell them how much Hubby and I despise this “X1 Entertainment Experience” we now have. The response time is slow. I’m talking slow like I think it’s not picking up the button pushes, then a screen appears when I push the button again, sending me off to a channel I never planned on. I came *this* close to subscribing to the Hustler channel the other day. I was frantically trying to get out of that – finally unplugged the damn box.
We were much happier with the old box. We’d love to get the old service back. If we can’t, it may be time to cut the cable TV cord. I’ve been looking at options, and it looks like I’ll lose my favorite Discovery channel, but I survived for years without it. Otherwise, between the YouTube TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, Pluto TV, PureFlix, and other streaming options, I think we’ll be doing just fine. And there’s OTA programming as well. We lived on that for decades. Life won’t end.
I guess I’ll have to show Hubby how to get a local TV listing on his phone, since we’ll lose the show guide.

Good afternoon Hamsters. Our beautiful day is slowly dissolving into more clouds and less bright winter sunlight. We’ve made it to chilly 62 that does not feel like 62 after a low of 37 overnight. Now that for sure was more like winter.
The recent articles about who the Dems have waiting in the wings as possible candidates for Trump’s job reads like the phone book, residential edition, with few names known to very many folks. Almost all seem to be newcomers appearing from last year, with some at least having made the national scene during the runup to the November elections.
Beto’s loss to Ted Cruz is being excused as barely having lost to Ted as part of his qualifications. Eh? What?

The Chief Justice, rotten to the core John Roberts, says that Ruthie with be not attending SCOTUS arguments, but that she will be reading the briefs and transcripts and voting from where ever she is staying. Now that would imply that she would not cast her vote until such arguments are heard, but my guess is that she has already filled out her score card for all the cases on the SCOTUS docket for the current term. She’s never read a brief or listened to an argument her entire time on the court – she is an ideologue and votes with the liberal faction regardless of the facts of the case or the governing law. Why would she change now. She’s proof that having liberals on the court is a complete waste of time since they are going to vote as a bloc anyway. I’m sure there are some cases up for review this term that she wishes to be heard on, even if it’s from beyond the crematorium. Look for Roberts to become the next full fledged liberal on the court to take her place.
