Almost 10 pm and it’s 73 outside likely thanks to the showers we had around 7 that left a quarter inch in the gauge. Sprinklers can stay turned off for about a week.
Summer has taken over and installed its typical weather patterns already. Ugh.

About that hay rake… You didn’t say that you had a great-grand-daughter operating it.
And then there’s still that illegal storm creeping up on the gulf coast. Maybe because it is not technically a hurricane it is not considered illegal, since actual hurricane season open June 1. I still doubt the hurricane hunters can get out there and approach it until the season opens. Just say no to illegal hurricanes.

Johnny Football has signed with the Hamilton Tiger Cats in the CFL. Head coach June Jones has also hired Jerry Glanville. Not sure Canada is big enough for those two guys.

A brief thunder shower just passed over us, sunny before and after passage over our place, but higher up just enough sunshine over the house to make a gorgeous rainbow in the middle of our back pasture, its upper portion mostly hidden by treetops. Both ends were beautifully distinct in the pasture, indeed a rainbow bridge for a few minutes… Read more »

If the ladies think that bikini looked uncomfortable, saw something else yesterday. There is a private zoo on 517 between Alvin and Dickinson. 80 acres of exotic animals. Various imported deer, Watusi cattle, lamas, etc. You sit in a trailer towed by a jeep. $4 buys you a bucket of food to feed the critters as you go. Across from… Read more »

Moby the flounder strikes again. Last Friday a fish hit and broke the wife’s line. We saw the bobber on Saturday, went out on the kayak on Sunday to retrieve it, and it swam away every time I got close. On Tuesday found the bobber with the leader and hook. The OC pic looks to be something from Italy if you read the Bellucci-Bella printed on the edge of the decrepit and antique looking seat. That is obviously not the tractor name. It is also certainly no rival to Botticelli’s Birth of Venus.
I’m with mharper42’s #24 describing it as a kitchen curtain valance, however a dinky one.
They have a resident herd of about thirty of these Axis deer. When they all travel together it is pretty impressive when you have to stop and let them cross the street in front of you.
Monica seems to love mowing the lawn more than others.
