I have been reading Daniel Greenfield’s work for over ten years.  He was the only author I sought permission from to print his columns in their entirety at Lone Star Times.  This piece is one of his best ever.

The Religion of Racism

If racism is America’s original sin, then its redemption lies in anti-racism. For liberal theologians, Christian and Jewish, who no longer believe in the traditional biblical sins, racism is a godsend. It provides the moral drama of damnation and redemption, confession and absolution, in a way that is compatible with the larger secular culture and their own political ambitions.

Fighting racism isn’t just a cause, it’s a religion. And all that remains of major religious denominations.

The most resonantly dramatic events for Christian and Jewish liberal denominations remain the fight against slavery and the struggles of the civil rights movement. They revisit and recreate them ceaselessly. And each protest movement, whether it’s Muslim migrants at airports, illegal aliens from El Salvador at the border or Black Lives Matter racists at coffee shops, is a religious revival experience.

and this,

If black people weren’t visiting national parks or living in sufficient numbers in Utah, it was evidence that national parks and Utah were racist. Racism was no longer something to be discovered by witnessing its presence, but by noting the absence of some ideal multicultural diversity statistic. Civil rights shifted from lifting state sanctions that mandated discrimination against black people to imposing state sanctions that mandated discrimination on behalf of black people. Like the segregationists, they were abusing government power to impose the version of the ideal racial balance that they wanted to see.

The absence of the realization of this vision became its own evidence of racial sinfulness.

I’ve not been paying attention but two females have won the Democrat, Governorship primary in Georgia and Kentucky. I’m not sure about the race in Kentucky since I know nothing about the candidates but in the Georgia race they had a far-left, racist, screaming communist, Stacey Abrams, running against a moderate, (by Democrat standards), white woman, Hitlery clone. Now I see that the lunatic has won the primary so the Democrats have just ceded the election to the Republicans. Georgia is not even purple,…..yet, let alone, beep blue.

It looks like Illinois is trying to “out California” California.
Illinoisans Fleeing State by Tens of Thousands over Taxes and Financial Loss. Docha’ just love Democrat/Liberal Paradise?

Illinois is losing more citizens than nearly every other state, and according to reports, the biggest reason citizens are leaving is that they can no longer afford to live in the Land of Lincoln.

Certainly, Americans move from place to place for a large variety of reasons. From new jobs, to schooling, to weather and family, Americans are a people motivated by the need for change. But in Illinois, one of the major reasons to seek a change of venue is because the state is simply taxing them out of their homes, according to Chicago’s WGN TV.

According to reports, Illinois alone lost 33,703 citizens to outward migration last year. In 2016, the state lost another 37,508 people. A report by the Chicago Tribune also noted that Chicago has been a net loser of its citizens for the last three years running. And the surrounding county was also a net loser of its population.

Indeed, Chicago is unique in the U.S. for being the only major city that has consistently lost citizens over the last five years. The Tribune’s editorial board even published an editorial saying that it no longer makes any sense to live in Illinois.

Because so many citizens are leaving, Illinois dropped from fifth-largest state to number six in 2017, the Tribune reported last year.

If there was ever a victim of outrageous legal malpractice, it is Michael Flynn. It looks to me as if they were spying on him illegally looking for some way to set him up.

We know now that Yates essentially was the one who set up Flynn, which resulted in his pleading guilty to one count of lying to the FBI: Byron York has a good timeline on the Flynn case and Yates’s role. She also signed off on at least one FISA application, and Yates bashed Trump Monday morning on “Morning Joe” lamenting how Trump was “ordering up an investigation of the investigators who were examining his own campaign.”

    and,

There is another reason the Obama Administration might have targeted Flynn: The former president despised him. In fact, during their first meeting in the White House after the 2016 election, Obama warned Trump not to hire the former three-star general. Flynn was forced out as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency in 2014 after reportedly clashing with none other than . . . James Clapper.

The general infuriated Comey, McCabe and Rosenstein when he stood up for a highly respected woman investigator in their office who was treated very shabbily and filed formal complaints against them.

Good morning Hamsters. Lovely 69 at 5:30, and now we have a sunny morning and a slight breath of a breeze. Hump Day is off to a good start.

Well, I hope the hyenas hiding behind their PAC promoting the outrageous lies claiming to be the principles that Dan Crenshaw supports are satisfied with themselves. The result of their libelous (written) and slanderous (spoken) undertakings was a landslide win for Dan Crenshaw. Duh, and the Chron is stunned by his overwhelming win.

And in the Dem primary for governor, it might be a blessing in disguise for Andrew White to have lost to Lupe Valdez for the nomination this time around. It will be a difficult campaign against the very popular Greg Abbott. The Dems of course are counting on the Latino vote to go heavily for her.

I emailed a customer last night who didn’t understand what a “CPA” was – cut, plug, and abandon. I responded with this last night:

“Cut, plug, and abandon” is a task that the City requires us to do when
installing service at an address where there is an existing water tap
that cannot be reused. We have to cut the tap off, plug the connection,
and that means the water service has been “abandoned”. We have to dig
a second hole to the old service line and do the CPA.”

This morning she responds with “So you are saying that my current service will not be disturbed and that you will be adding a second meter?”

Rush just announced the NFL has instituted a new rule that all players must stand for the National Anthem before games. He said this will of course cause all hell to break loose amongst the libs. The rule does not require all players to be on the field for the playing of the anthem, so theoretically a player not on the field could take a knee out of sight of the spectators. But who’s gonna see that? Not many folks. So much for the effectiveness of a protest in the basement of the stadium.

Obviously the disgust of a majority of fans finally hit a nerve at the NFL. Duh, did they see dollar signs with wings flying off into the wild blue yonder? 🙂

More info: Teams can fine players for kneeling on the field during the anthem.

  21. El Gordo Avatar

I’m pretty sure that those “players,” being the clever thugs that they are, will just start flashing gang signs or do something else to draw attention to themselves. The issue is never about what they claim it to be about, it’s always about just drawing attention to themselves and generating street cred back in da hood. Dono and Dindo Nuttin will be their new slogans. NFL’s day has come and gone, due to their own mismanagement and their efforts to appear sympathetic to the struggle. Are they going to allow the refs to be armed on the field this year? To hell with them.

I don’t understand that CPA thing either. What would cause “a tap” to be unusable and have to be abandoned? Are you talking about an outside-the-house tap where a hose would be connected? Or what?

  23. Tedtam Avatar

When we connect to the city main – “tap” the main – it connects the city water to the water meter. From the meter, a service line runs to the house to provide water.

Most of the time, when we install new service – a new “tap” – and the City installs a meter, the City insists we take the old tap out of service by cutting and plugging it. That prevents water theft. Most people only need one service for their house. If they get an irrigation/yard water meter, it usually tees off the existing domestic water service, and it gets a separate meter.

This lady, however, did not make it clear that she’s ADDING a service address by moving an additional home onto the lot, for a total of 2 rental units. Each unit is to get it’s own water service address. We’ve been talking at cross purposes because of this. I was trying to warn her that what she’s doing is not a common occurrence, and the city may issue a work order with a CPA on it. Hubby had quoted her a price including a CPA. If we got a work order with a CPA, then we’d have a delay while we got the paperwork straightened out.

She was getting pretty wissed off at me. When she finally explained she was adding a unit, not replacing it, I then understood. She did not understand that she hadn’t been clear.

I apologized for the confusion, but I wish she’d been more explicit in the beginning.

  28. Tedtam Avatar

Depends on deed restrictions. In our neighborhood, Hubby and I own property that, while considered part of the neighborhood, is actually under a different set of rules. We can pretty much do whatever we want on that lot, while across the street…not so much.

We lost the customer. She was getting more and more frantic as I tried to calm her down. The last email I sent her was “it’s all good, we understand what you’re doing now, it looks like you have everything done properly with the city, and we’ll send an updated proposal”.

Her next email: “I can’t work with someone who doesn’t understand such a simple project.” /rolling eyes

I told her we were sorry to lose her (not really, Hubby had an idea that she’d be a problem customer), but to be sure to let her next plumber know that she was doing something unusual by adding a unit to a property to avoid the confusion, and wished her luck.

I told OH5 that she was wissed off because it was obvious that she contributed to the confusion by not being clear from the beginning. Some customers can’t handle that.

There can be several reasons to do away with an old tap. Some very old taps can use lead service lines or other inferior materials running up from the main.

Got this email from the previously mentioned confuser customer:
“I may be female but I am a contractor and this is not my first rodeo. Pay attention to your part of the issue which is failure to listen and make the correct bid given the information you were given. Allow me to observe that Aggie Plumber is a great name for you.”

    My response:
“Again, my apologies for not being clear when explaining why we had the confusion. I assumed you understood what I was saying; it seems I wasn’t clear enough. I told you that Hubby had assumed a replacement project for whatever reason, when you first contacted him. Replacement projects are 99% of what we usually see; your adding a unit to lot is not very common. I was not in the conversation when you talked with him, so I had no idea. A CPA indicates a new project or an upgrade.

My first contact with you was answering your email when you said you didn’t understand what a CPA was, which is pretty standard jargon for this type of work. That led me to assume that you were a first time residential customer, as that is a common question with people who are not familiar with what we do.
