Yup, it looks like a Friday.
Mornin’ Gang -
Hubby is off to surgery.
-
#3: May G-D guide the hands and brains of all the doctors and nurses involved with his procedure and care. May he have a full and speedy recovery.
-
Tedtam, I’ve not been keeping up but Prayers up for Mr Tedtam, I hope all goes well.
-
Prayers up Tedtam, may this be a life changer to the good.
-
Tedtam
My prayers and sympathies are with your husband.
Eight days ago, I came out of the shower feeling just fine and was getting dressed in the morning to make a doctor’s appointment at 11 AM. I got one pants leg on and fell onto the bed as if I’d been shot in the back. Her Highness found me in the fetal position in excruciating pain. She called and cancelled my appointment.
I’ve spent the last 8 days at home trying to recover. One thing I’ve learned is to not jump back to work and activity unless my back is better than 95%. Too many times I did and ended up back on the bed. Patience was never my long suit.
-
Hubby was told 3 months prolly before he goes back to work. I don’t think he was ready for that.
Fortunately and unfortunately, we have received a chunk of life insurance money from MIL’s death. And we have our rental income. He may not be happy sitting around but we won’t starve.

SUBJECT CHANGE:
Alabama has just made law enabling them to use nitrogen gas as an execution agent. This was done to have an alternative to the lethal injection drugs, should they become unavailable. The condemned in Alabama still have the option of the electric chair.
Personally, I think pure nitrogen gas delivered via gas mask, is an ideal way to execute the condemned:
1) No danger to those nearby because nitrogen is already the primary component of the air we breathe.
2) No mess or problem trying to get a needle into a vein and having that vein stay open long enough to do the job.
3) No splatter or projectile damage as you would have with a firing squad or guillotine.
4) Nitrogen is now and will always be readily available and in large quantities as it has many other uses.
5) Supposedly, when one is executed in this fashion, they simply go to sleep then die. -
I’ve learned, after all the hospital events over the last few years, to bring stuff. I have yarn and accoutrements (working on a purple snood), embroidery project, green tea and water bottle, snacks, books, and my special back chair.
It’s a lot to lug around but I’ll be comfortable and I won’t be bored.

Broke out the old Tea Party Rally kit eh? 😀

Yes, but it often causes feeling of euphoria and or drunkenness as your brain is starved for oxygen. Ask me how I know, O.K. for many years I was a “Vomit Comet” volunteer, that is, I signed up in case they needed someone with my skills to fly. To do this you had to take an orientation class and maintain a “Flight Physical” every year. In the orientation class, they put you and a buddy in a chamber with oxygen masks, then you where to remove your mask and write your named repeatedly on a legal pad. You couldn’t tell that the oxygen was missing but after awhile you start laughing and writing like a 5 year old and just before you pass out, your buddy puts your mask back on……Know who your friends are?…. Sometimes, this experience leaves you with a headache but it didn’t bother me. FWIW: I never, ever have headaches except when I had Rocky Mountain spotted fever or the few times that I pickled my brain in my younger years.

This is the second most amazing story I’ve read this week.
I’ll feature the other one tomorrow.
Steve McQueen’s Highland Green 1968 Ford Mustang GT fastback vanished 38 years ago. The ominous-looking pony car with the barking 390-cubic-inch V-8, which starred in one of the greatest chase scenes in movie history in the film Bullitt—with McQueen doing the driving in many of the shots—may have been lost, but it was never forgotten. Certainly not by Mustang aficionados, who speculated on its whereabouts for almost four decades, titillated by the occasional internet post or word of a spectral sighting. So when the Bullitt Mustang suddenly appeared at a Ford press preview at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit on January 14, 2018, the assembled journalists, car nuts, Ford execs, and Mustang fans went full geek.
The synchronicity of the car’s breaking cover in the same year as the Bullitt movie’s 50th anniversary, and at the same event where Ford revealed its 2019 Mustang Bullitt tribute model—the third since 2001—is just too perfect for it to have been happenstance. And yet it largely was.
The coincidences (if you believe in them) and serendipitous connections of the characters in this story are the stuff of screenwriters’ and novelists’ imaginations.
But Kiernan’s father fell ill and passed away in 2014 before they could get the Mustang reassembled. At that point, says Kiernan, he was feeling the emotional gut punch of his father’s death and was in a quandary about what to do with the car. “I was struggling,” he says.
Then came the coincidence that changed everything. In December 2015, Kiernan, a salesman of automotive paint and supplies who lives outside Nashville, was returning from a day of sales calls with his boss, Casey Wallace. Wallace, the company’s regional sales manager, had come in from out of town. On the long drive back to the office, Wallace asked Kiernan what cars he had inherited from his father.
“A ’75 Porsche 911 and a ’68 Mustang GT 390 fastback,” answered Kiernan. Wallace was intrigued and wondered what color the Mustang was. “Green,” replied Kiernan. “Huh,” responded Wallace. “Sounds like the Bullitt Mustang.”

Maale Adummim, March 21 – An automated vehicle destroyed itself and its human cargo this morning by careening through a roadside barrier and tumbling down a steep hillside because the person inside kept playing terrible music, police are reporting.
Department spokesman Abed Ladaat told reporters that preliminary evidence indicates that around nine o’clock Wednesday morning, an automated car traveling from Jerusalem to Bet Shean via Highway 90 crashed through a retaining rail at the side of the road and plummeted twenty meters, killing the passenger and totaling the vehicle. According to forensics, the car was prompted to deviate from its programmed course by the passenger, a male in his forties, playing the song Copacabana by Barry Manilow for the fourth time in a row. The man’s identity will be withheld pending notification of his family.

Morning, all. Putting together a Kroger list. For about 40 days in the Spring, Friday is a great day to shop at Kroger around noon. The deli makes lots and lots of their excellent fish sammich on Fridays. The rest of the week, you can maybe get one but on Fridays it’s easy.

Further comments by the genius Trayon White, esteemed member of the Washington DC City Council, who claimed a few days ago that the Jews control the weather.
Listen, I know it was bad form to engage in antisemitic tropes and portray the Jews as a monolithic, sinister, all-powerful group. I apologized – of course I apologized; it would be wrong not to. But between you and me, there’s no shortage of evidence the Jews have been doing this sort of thing for thousands of years. just look at a bunch of the Ten Plagues.
Just look at the documented accounts, in the Jews’ own works. The Nile turning to blood – well, I don’t know about you, but if that’s not the sort of environmental engineering consistent with weather modification, I’ll eat my hat. Having the same Nile then produce frogs fits right in, as well.

I’ve been interested in the blowback from the recent congressional spending spree. My congresscritter voted for it, and I noticed the uberconservative Pete Olsen did too. Hopefully Trump will veto. I have consistently been a voice of moderation when it comes to Trump’s various activities and tweets under the assumption that he was running the long con on whoever he was focused on; taking a wait and see approach. Well, I’ll be the first to tell you that if he signs this spending bill, the first crack will show up in my heretofore unwavering support of his presidency. The Reps have sacrificed the house with this vote, so impeachment is a given; so even if he is not removed, he is weakened. The eReps and Dems would prefer a weakened Trump rather than a strong Pence anyway. This is the most serious crisis his Presidency has faced – let’s hope he is able to land on his feet again, otherwise, so long to his (and our) fading dream of saving the country.

So, Pinterest suggested some vintage ads, Budweiser, back in the day. 😀

El Gordo posted a link to this story here and maybe someone else has also. If you don’t know the details, Michelle Malkin has the entire disgusting chronicle of epic authority failure with this murderous little bastard.
According to a probable cause affidavit filed by the Palm Beach County police, 17-year-old Corey Johnson bought a knife last Sunday and brought it with him to a sleepover at longtime friend Kyle Bancroft’s house. At 4 a.m., he decided to kill Kyle’s mother, Elaine; his brother, Dane; and Dane’s friend, Jovanni Sierra Brand.
Corey repeatedly stabbed Jovanni in his bed and slit his throat. Then he attempted to murder Elaine as she approached the boys’ bedrooms in response to Jio’s last gasps. Dane rescued his mom and sustained 32 stab wounds. Both were hospitalized and survived. Jio was buried last Friday—less than a week after celebrating his 13th birthday at a pizza party attended by Corey.
The accused killer told police he “stabbed the victims because of his Muslim faith,” watched videos of “Muslim jihadists” on his cellphone, and “was reading the Quran from his phone just prior to the attack to give him courage to carry out his intentions.”
The school administrators, local police, the sheriff’s department, the local FBI office, the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force all knew about this boy and no one did a damned thing about it.

PT needs to veto it then go on TV or hold a rally and read the shinola that’s in that bill and expose the 4 headed lying machine of rLyan, the Turtle, the Mayo Stain and the Botoxed Bat Brain.
-
Doc just told me the surgery went well and he should be in a room soon.
-
#24 – Good news.
#23 – Agree. He should tell the American people that their congressional leadership has lied to them and is taking the country to hell. Veto the budget with great fanfare, and call out names. Expose those who are junketeering on the government dime who have already left town. Shut down government, and explain to airlines and others that any money claimed by congresscritters for travel will not be repaid since government is shut down. Make them pay, and keep it up every day that government is shut down. Come forward with a realistic budget while congress is in disarray and pound on it. Act like you are working you azz off to get government back in action while congress is scattered to luxurious destinations all over the world spending your taxpayer money. Think of every way possible to embarrass Ryan and McConnell, and repeat it over and over. Otherwise, the Trump presidency is effectively over. -
I predict Trump will brag about signing that monstrosity.
-
24 TT
Wonderful. Been praying hard. -
How do you get bumped to the top of the list for a spinal transplant ?
-
Just saw Hubby. He hurts but we both knew that was coming. Hopefully he’ll be in a room in an hour or so, where I anticipate he’ll roll onto his side and stay there for awhile.
-
Signed, sealed, and delivered.
-
How do you get bumped to the top of the list for a spinal transplant ?
I’d ask members of Congress but I think they are clueless.
-
Trump signs away his presidency. So long Mr. President. You had a golden shot and blew it.

#42
lol, yeah they’re all donors. 😀

Trump will now become the 2nd, one term, Read my Lips president in the dustbin of presidential history.
He got swamped.
I think I’ll go mow the lawn and see if I can work this huge machete out of my back.
-
You can now take your panic pill and run around with your hair on fire. Trump gave away the farm for nothing. We have now seen what he is going to do and frankly we are screwed.
Me? I am gonna take my chill pills and not worry about it. Ain’t nothing we can do and as usual there will be a big uproar against the repubs but the incomebutts will be reelected as usual as Trump loses to the future Hillary.
I now have even better reason to SKIP THE VOTE

I don’t expect much more out of this Trump guy now.

There’s yer smile Squawk.
First!
Thanks for lookin out for me. I never look at the Friday open comments picture and would have missed that one. Ya sure that was not photoshopped?
-
Also, I may have to mortgage the Farm to pay for these Dayaam thangs. I really like the new wheels, the Boy, not so much, until he saw them with the tars mounted. We rolled both sizes out to the truck and I’ll have to go with the taller 60 series, the 55’s look too much like they should be on a rice rocket. 😀
-
I’ll have to go with the taller 60 series
Yer gonna hafta recabilrate your speedo-disgronificator thingy with them there taller tarrs.
-
# 47, Yup and since I figured that the 55’s added one inch and the 60’s 2 inches, I may as well get the taller ones. My old 84 GMC came with 195 15’s and I when put 235’s on it it changed my speedometer by 6 miles and hour. I’ve not done the math yeat but the Boys says 1 inch = 1 MPH and 2 = 2 MPH according to his chart. I should add that the 17’s that were on the truck had much taller sidewalls and are only an inch shorter than the 55’s.
-
I am tired of tires.
-
So these new tarrs are going on the old truck, right? You just got the new truck and to need new tarrs on it already would mean that you have been, er, ah, well, umm, driving in a spirited fashion.
-
While mowing the lawn this thought, poem and team came to mind.–I am the Buffalo Bills.
Fight on, my men, Sir Andrew said. A little I’m hurt but not yet slain. I’ll just lie down and bleed a while and then I’ll rise and fight again.
-
New truck (2016) had 16 K miles on it and now has 22K, tires still have plenty of tread but they are dangerous! Will scare the hell outta’ of you on wet pavement and when it’s raining, don’t get in a hurry at a stoplight, you’ll just sit and spin. It should be against the law to sell tires like that.
-
Drove by Christ the King Catholic Church on North Main on the way to my favorite neighborhood Vietnamese restaurant. Had to do a double take. They put up a new sign. With the color scheme I thought it was Krispy Kreme Katholic Church.

Will scare the hell outta’ of you on wet pavement and when it’s raining, don’t get in a hurry at a stoplight, you’ll just sit and spin.

I feel more like the ‘92-‘93 Oilers after the Bills got through with them.

Here, this will make you feel better.

I got that beat.
-
Here is THE thing about Trump signing today.
-
Texpat learnt me on this many moons ago.
Washington is give and take to get anything done. I come from the old school of the more that gets done the worse off we are. Trump is a deal maker and a deal maker works on the prmeise that if he gets “something of what is important to him” then he can always return to the table later. That is what Trump did with this. From a political side it would have nice for him to veto and dare the Congress to overturn it. But he did not. He did what he realizes is his first numero uno duty and that is protect our nation. Our military is a mess, so Trump took the cash with he intention of returning to the table..
Understanding THOSE facts and Washington reality I am not ready to jump Trumps bones just yet contrary to what i wrote above. The guy has done some pretty amazing stuff to this point. I am keeping my powder dry for now.
-
with he intention of returning to the table..
Returning to the table for what? To give ’em mo money? Amnesty for da dreamers? They sure as heck ain’t gonna give any money back.
I also heard him yammering for a line item veto. SCOTUS settled that a long time ago when they ruled it unconstitutional after Newt and company passed it as part of the Contract with America.
-
I’m not swinging from a Trump supporter to a Trump opposer. I’m swinging from a Trump supporter to more of a Trump neutral position. I’m of the opinion that a lot of the words he has spoken are beginning to ring hollow. Future promises have been undermined, not by eReps in congress, who we all know to be a bunch of weasels, but by the President himself. Without the support of his voters, the strongest military in the universe is of no use. His position with Mueller is weakened, and his overall support is diminished. I’d hate to see him try to fill up an airport hanger right now. I’m believing that he signed away his second term, just as Bush Sr. did with the no new taxes pledge. He can try to blame congress, the senate, filibusters, the Dems, the eReps, the press or whoever, but the fact is, he is the one who backed down in the face of a battle that he set the stage for to begin with. I’m still hopeful, but I’ve seen this play before. Barely into his second year, and he’s stuck trying to run out the clock – and that’s assuming the next congress does not impeach him and the limp wristed Senate does not send him away. I think they will prefer a weakened Trump as President than a Pence, so I imagine they will let him stay in office, but his Presidency is basically over except for renaming post office buildings and VA hospitals. Hope that I’m wrong about all of this, but hope is not a plan.
-

Thanks for the credit.
I’ll back away from the ledge now.
I’m reconsidering jumping off presently.

Returning to the table for what?
“L” if I know. I just know how Trump works. I know how “deal makers work”. The Democrats are the world best at working for their agenda in an incremental fashion. Trump does the same thing. Get a little now and a little later till he gets everything he wants.
El Gorded One put his finger on one thing, the never Trumpers and the Democrats basically worked this mess to weaken Trump. Can he recover? i dunno but I cannot help but think Trump is about to start weilding the veto pen. At the end of the day the Republican party is going to pay for this in the mid terms and any discussion of Trump recovering may well be academic. If the Democrats do get the House back we will be looking at impeachment proceedings and the ultimate lame duck for 2 years there after.

Texpat
59 Squawk
Thanks for the credit.
It is true.
-
This is for El Gordo.
I always defer to Jack Dunphy on police matters. The name is a pseudonym for a veteran detective in LA and he’s been writing on the internet for as long as I can remember. Here he writes for PJMedia:
Regular readers of my columns know that I often use this space to defend – or at least explain – the actions of police officers who, through a shooting or some other use of force, find themselves the focus of national controversy. This was the case earlier this week when I wrote in support of the Los Angeles County district attorney’s decision not to charge a now-former LAPD officer in the 2015 shooting death of a man near Venice Beach.
But there are some instances in which an officer’s conduct is so far outside the standards of police practices that it cannot be explained, much less defended. Such was the case of former Minneapolis police officer Mohamed Noor, who on Tuesday turned himself in after a warrant was issued for his arrest in the July 2017 shooting death of Justine Damond.
-
There really is no reasonable argument to be made for voting Republican anymore. And I promised God a long time ago I would never vote for a baby-killing Democrat. Plus, they want me dead, literally.
Last time I felt like this it was Dale Gribble from Sugar Land infamously proclaiming “there is simply no fat left to cut in the federal budget”. I believe that was late 2005. Anyone remember what happened in 2006?
Only twice in my lifetime have Republicans held the presidency and both houses of Congress. Both times they’ve screwed the pooch.
-
Hamous
#66Me too. And from my comment above this I have not changed from the past two election cycles.
I now have even better reason to SKIP THE VOTE
The Republicans fingerprints are all over this bill, yeah Trump did not have to sign, but the Republicans did not have to send this abortion to the presidents desk.
-
Watermelon head Kevin Brady my congressman and is Chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee was instrumental in putting this mess together. i have worked my arse off in the past to get him tossed but he still survives.
-
Plenty of blame to go around in Congress, including our senior senator Big John Cornholio. But, we knew that they were all a bunch of weasels all along, so their behavior comes as no surprise. Trump campaigned and touted all along setting up this showdown. This could have been his finest hour. And he caved. Any Rep president could have caved and no one would be surprised because Reps are known to be spineless cavers. But, when finally reaching the big stage, where it really makes a difference in the way this country operates, Big Bad Don caved, just like all the rest. This opportunity will not ever present itself to him again. His one chance to do something meaningful, and he caved. Dam straight I’m disappointed. Not really angry, just disappointed. 3 more years of mamby pamby meaningless crap to argue about, and he’s done. Another golden, once in a lifetime opportunity missed.
-
Trump had a chance to be Vince Lombardi and Bart Starr in the Ice Bowl but instead of going for the win, via the QB keeper, with his line of Deplorables leading the way, he dropped back to pass, got sacked, fumbled the ball and the Mayo Stained Slithering Sleazeball Schumer took it all the way back to the other end zone for the win.
I went to bat for this guy.
I debated friends, talked to neighbors, co-workers and even Sarge on why they should vote for Trump.I believed in him.
It’s tough writing this but he stabbed me in the back, The wound is deep. I’m bleeding, sick to my stomach, but I’ll will get back up.
He looked as Dizzy as the Dizzy Crawford Texas Dunce today when he was up there trying to justify why he signed this bill.
I was waiting for him to say another reason he signed this bill is so the human being and fish could coexist peacefully.
I will not be going to the polls in 2018. R’s and D’s are a treasonous bunch of vipers. I detest them with everything in my soul for what they’ve done to OUR country.
And as it looks right now, Trump’s now joined the GooPs.
Hope he enjoys the heapin helpin’ spoonful of Hellman’s mayo he just ate. He”ll be ingesting it for possibly the next 3 years.
I don’t see that 3D chess rainbow that others on other blog sites are writing about.
Right now I feel like he should’ve at least lit a cigarette for me since he just gave me one helluva humping that any multi-humped camel would be envious of.
-
I will continue to vote Republican even as we ride this mule down into the abyss or until some mind-blowing, miraculous, extraterrestrial electoral alternative arises.
Whatever lives may be saved by the excellent people Trump has put on the federal bench is worth my one little vote for the lives of the unborn and what few rights might be salvaged in the dystopian future.
-
According to new data from McLaughlin & Associates national poll of 1,000 likely voters:
75% agree with the statement, “When I watch live sports or entertainment shows on television I am trying to get away from politics and do not want to be bombarded with partisan political messages.”
So three out of four people might not be receptive if Bob Costas comes on at half-time to scold the Redskins about their team name, or talk down to Americans about their “gun culture.”
44% said they have been less likely to watch live sports and entertainment shows because they have become too political.
Would-be viewers are skipping ESPN’s “WokeCenter” or any awards show that might include a Streep attackor judges demanding a beauty queen denounce President Trump.
Among people who didn’t watch the Oscars this year, the top reason cited for not watching was that they were “tired of these shows being full of political statements.“
So those folks missed Best Director presenter Emma Stone getting in trouble for whining that there was only one female director nominated while failing to acknowledge that two of the males were “of color.”
About half (47%) of the respondents who did NOT watch the Oscars this year said their reason for not watching the show was EITHER “I’m tired of these shows being full of political statements” or “I would have watched but knew some of the presenters and winners would use the time to share their political agenda.”
-
Trump and Republicans keep Hillary’s promise to continue funding Planned Parenthood.
-
I don’t understand why the Democrats bother to work so hard to get elected. They get more of their agenda passed in Congress when the Republicans are in control.
They could save themselves a lot of money and trouble by surrendering.
-
I wish Sarge would hurry up and show up to gloat a little bit and tell us “I told you so” so we could all just move on.
-
Sure, I’ll keep voting against Democrats.
The question is, will I make the extra effort to vote early (to make damn sure I voted)? 0r if the weather is really bad? Or I’m feeling pretty bad? Or if a Karen McDougal documentary is on? Or the porch needs sweeping?
I’m not sure. I’ll let you know.

A 4000 square mile lake is just what they need out there anyway.
-
I don’t think I have the stomach for it anymore. I mean, it’s like …

So I took this opportunity to ask BSue if she was ready to move to the Baja. I even took the time to explain what I think is on the immediate horizon for our fair country. She gave me a one word answer and that look that said, “are you ******* nuts”. So I quickly moved on asking her how her day was. Sigh it is going to be an unusually quiet night around the cave.

#77: It is unreasonable to assume that you can pull hundreds of millions of barrels of oil from a relatively small region over a period of 6 decades and not have some settling take place. The big problem I see is the disruption of the ground water flow and the ability of humans to thrive in the area.
-
#80 – Yes.
-
Oil doesn’t exist in a big underground lake. It exists in underground rock formations, faults, and other geological phenomena, which are active. Oil activity does not cause earthquakes and occurs well below the ground water tables. Active geo formations are always rising and falling and tilting and shifting. The only real detriment to the ability of humans to thrive in the area are rattlesnakes and the absence of rainfall. Remember, this is an SMU study which means it will reach whatever desired conclusion the funder wants.

I finally had to leave Hubby at the hospital. I’m running on four hours of sleep and he has a whole staff to help him with whatever he needs.
He was looking a whole lot better when I left. His right arm is numb from the elbow down and he had some trouble eating a salad with it. The doc said it is probably “positional,” meaning he was laying on it during the surgery. Doc thinks it’ll clear up on its own.
Hubby told the nurse his pain level was about a 5 on a scale of 0 to 10. Someone cutting his spine open leaves him with a 5. Heck, on a “good” night his pain level was at least an 8. Even right after major surgery, he doesn’t hurt as much as he used to.
He was busy sucking on a tube thingy when I left, to keep his lungs working well. While I was there he was being very conscientious about doing it on the schedule the nurse gave him. It’s good he’s listening to the pros and doing what is being asked of him.
Hopefully, he’ll be discharged tomorrow.

Oh well, at least booze is going to get cheaper.
A protectionist Texas law that has kept Walmart, Costco and other giant retailers from selling hard liquor was found unconstitutional by a federal judge this week, prompting cheers from free-market advocates — and vows of a quick appeal from one of the parties on the losing side.
The Texas law that was struck down — unique in the United States — forbids publicly traded businesses from owning liquor stores while allowing family-owned companies to grow into giant chains without fear of competition from large national or international corporations.
If the late Tuesday ruling by U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman survives appeals, Texas consumers — like those in at least 31 other states and many foreign countries — will be able to buy vodka, tequila and bourbon from Walmart-owned stores and other multinational retailer outlets.
I’ll still give Spec’s my money when I’m in Texas. The ruling is correct, but the ramifications won’t be as bad for the local liquor stores as folks predict. I’ve watched this go down in New Jersey.

It sounds good! So glad for how positive it sounds this early after the surgery. The breathing exerciser sounds like a spirometer. I have been given one every time I was in the hospital, and I always bring them home with me, on the off chance that I will continue to use them. Pretty much have one in every room of the house that I spend any time at all. This Airlife model sold at Walmart is identical to the ones that Memorial-Hermann issues to surgery patients. You inhale on the tubing mouthpiece to see how much air volume you can draw in. -
And now to all you folks out there in Deplorable broken heartland, I’d like to dedicate this song to Presi-dented fender Trump.
-
Late to the party again.
I join Texpat and Squawk in not going bonkers over President Trump’s obvious reluctance and disappointment in signing the monstrous bill those who would destroy him cooked up. Wait and see what happens down the road. The man did not get where he is financially by being a one-note and bury myself in the sand if it didn’t work kind of person.
As far as giving up voting, why willingly devolve yourself into a subject instead of remaining a citizen? Spoken like someone whose emotional portion of the brain has spoken rather than the rational part of the brain.

OMG, I now have spirometer edge ads all over my screen! Well, maybe this will replace the blood-draw lancet holder ads that I’ve had for 2 months, since I ordered one online. My diabetic glucometer maker had discontinued the lancets I’ve used for 8 years, so I had to choose another type that would be covered by my scrip insurance. The matching lancet holder was not covered and was $18 at CVS. I saw they were much cheaper elsewhere, and in fact I got one online for < $4.

I saw Sarge had posted from his WWI reenactment gig Over Yonder. Mayhap he doesn’t even know that DJT signed the Omnibus bill today.
