I never ever watch or run across The Beverly Hillbillies reruns but I just happened to watch that particular show one day a month or so ago, since then I have seen it linked to a number of times across the innernet. Doesn’t mean anything just thought y’all might want to know. 😀

I heard on FOX and Friends this am that the laptop computers belonging to Mills and one other Clinton chick were not destroyed as promised. The info on those computers, if they were not bleach bitted, has the potential to be devastating.
I think the O-CRAP-O-METER in Camp Clinton is pegged out about now.

The author Robert Bidinotto is frankly amazed. On his Facebook timeline he writes: “IT WAS A busy week. As for the paucity of posts (don’t you love alliteration?) over the past few days, the news leaves me increasingly speechless, my jaw now perpetually hanging open in disbelief. It’s like watching an MMA cage match between Orwell and Kafka.”
and,
The election of 2016 seems like a scene inside a larger event. There is the sense that something significant is happening though no one seems can say exactly what. Robert Kagan called the United States the world’s “most dangerous nation”. It’s a place where the idealistic and the cynical, the tawdry and the sublime, the brilliant and the stupid routinely rub shoulders in public life. The Most Dangerous Nation is now apparently in the process of resolving a political crisis in its own inimitable way. What it will do next is anybody’s guess. It might be wonderful. It might be horrifying. It will probably be a little of both.

Good morning Hamsters. Mugly 69 with fog getting thicker. This is November 3, right? Supposedly the front arrives sometime later today.

#4 TP from your link: This exchange had me laughing out loud:
The political civility that everyone was supposed to observe went overboard some time ago. In an op-ed whose captures the mood of this election Leonard Pitts expresses this in Oregon.live “I don’t want the GOP defeated.”
I want it immolated.
I want it razed to the foundation, reduced to a moonscape, left unlivable even for cockroaches, much less newts. I want it treated like boot heels treat ants and furnaces treat ice cubes, treated like a middle-school basketball team playing the ’71-’72 Lakers.
Defeat is not enough. Let there be humiliation. Let there be pain.Maybe he’s upset. There’s a lot of that going around these days.
What a delightful use of understatement to insult the target :>)

HEADLINE: FBI Leaks: Clinton Foundation Probe a ‘Very High Priority,’ Will Likely Lead to an Indictment
Two sources with “intimate knowledge” of the FBI’s investigations into the Clinton emails and Clinton Foundation leaked new information about both of the probes to Fox News Wednesday. The sources say that the latter investigation has been going on for more than a year and is being led by the white-collar crime division of the FBI. They also say that the Clinton Foundation “pay to play” probe has taken a “very high priority,” and the FBI has re-interviewed multiple individuals involved in the case. The sources told Special Report’s Bret Baier that their investigation will likely to lead to an indictment.
/SNIP
As for those questionable immunity deals with Clinton’s top aides including Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson, Fox reports that the laptops that were supposed to be destroyed as part of those deals, have not been destroyed and are now in fact currently in the FBI field office in Washington, D.C., “being exploited.”OH yeah, a foundation on fire. Where’s the popcorn?

Sanders’ recent Op-Eds have also shifted from explaining why someone should vote for Clinton, to what he and his supporters need to do the day after Election Day. He has stopped critiquing Donald Trump as much and has started to scold Hillary Clinton again.
plus,
Sanders also cautioned that if Clinton appoints corrupt, pro-Wall Street administration officials, he will do everything in his power to fight those nominations. “I expect her to appoint people who will head agencies in a way that is consistent with the Democratic Party platform, and if not, I will do my best to oppose those nominees,” he added.
Though Sanders supporters have been relegated to apathy since he officially ended his presidential campaign at the Democratic National Convention, Sanders is beginning to show every intention of giving his supporters something to be excited about after Election Day. Clinton’s free pass from Sanders is over. -
If’n you’re anywhere you can listen to Rush, tune in now. He has a guest for the noon hour segment who has studied the corruption of the Clintons A-Z and will enlighten us all as to what the FBI has been for over a year been rooting through the Clinton Crime Foundation happenings and the emails. Discovered folks granted immunity for testimony who lied, and their immunity has been withdrawn and they will be charge with felonies.
This bombshell first exploded last night on Bret Baier’s show. Of course the LSM won’t touch this with tongs unless they can’t avoid it and are shamed into dealing with it in their own nefarious ways. -

990 Horsepower Fireball Chevrolet Camaro Debuts At 2016 SEMA Show.
The horsepower standard has steadily crept up over the years. Figures found in super cars of the 1990s can now normally be found in an average crossover, and normally with a much smaller displacement. To play today, power better be approaching 1,000 ponies.
The Fireball Chevrolet Camaro has done just that, and at an incredibly affordable price, too. Fireball revealed the first production vehicle with 990 hp and at a starting price of just $90,000. However, it’s only 900 ponies if you cheap out at the starting price.
Fireball has tacked on a supercharger, custom cam, high-performance lifters, long-tube headers, ported heads and much, much more to help the Camaro reach its lofty horsepower figure.
As for design, the Fireball Camaro features a custom hood, wheels and special badging to differentiate itself on the road.
Fireball has made quite a proclamation. 900 horsepower for less than $100 per pony? That may be something many can buy into. -

Blatant voter fraud thwarted in Ca.
HEADLINE: ‘Voter fraud’? California man finds dozens of ballots stacked outside home
Jerry Mosna was gardening outside his San Pedro, Calif., home Saturday when he noticed something odd: Two stacks of 2016 ballots on his mailbox.
The 83 ballots, each unused, were addressed to different people, all supposedly living in his elderly neighbor’s two-bedroom apartment.
“I think this is spooky,” Mosna said. “All the different names, none we recognize, all at one address.”This is just one case, one address; how many times is this exact scenario played out across the country and how long has it been going on?
-
Voter registration should expire every five years, requiring re-registration. Just about every other significant govt document expires periodically (driver license, passport, etc. ) and nobody seems to lose their tiny minds over it.

Back home in centex after a road tour of north Texas. Fall has not yet quite arrived although there is some yellowing of the tree leaves. Temps in the high 80’s to low 90’s still holding, but a little cooler today with rain showers covering much of the area. I’ve not had time to focus much lately, but I’d like to hear more from you low carb dieters. You may remember that I lost 100 pounds on a low carb diet a couple of years ago, but I’ve cheated a little this last year and need to get back with the program. So, anything you want to post on that topic would be fine with me. Anyway, good to be back.

I came home early and mowed. I didn’t have a clue rain was headed this way from the WNW.
Dumb luck. -

Lost eight pounds in thirty days….would have been more if I hadn’t cheated with beer three times. Experimenting with mashed cauliflower as a potato substitute, but no great successes to report on that front…more experimenting will be required. Tedtam’s diet lets her eat fruit, mine doesn’t. So, I’m pretty miserable on the sweets front.
Four Starbursts after the evening meal isn’t cutting it. -
As Texpat says, the lack of anything crunchy sucks, too. Although at his suggestion I have been eating a few Water Crackers.
And hot pork rinds – the only no carb crunchy snack there is. -

I don’t see it listed but I’d bet thru the magic of EFI the mileage is not too bad.YUP! Daughter’s Corvette doesn’t have that much power but, it does have more than most cars on the road and it’ll get 30 MPG @ 75 MPH on a highway trip. It’s very lightweight and streamlined and with the 6 speed tranny, it’s just loafing along at that speed. My truck, on the other hand barely gets 18 MPG under the same conditions. It’s basically a barn flying down the road.

Oh and Bones, Congratulations and I hope that you two have many more.

I lost 10 lbs. in the first 30 days of my original no carb shock diet. And then I didn’t lose anything for the next 14-20 days. I was persistent and then, after that period, I started to lose anywhere from a 0.3 to 0.5 pound each day for the next 30 days and was able to keep it off after I began to reintroduce minimal amounts of carb back into my diet.
It was easier to lose weight this recent period when I went back onto a limited version of the diet. I cut out all sugar, most all other carbs and limited myself to toast with 4 eggs for breakfast. I eat some kind of protein in the afternoon to take the edge off the hunger and have a small protein (fish, beef, lamb) with salad supper. It’s working for me.
EDIT: …each day for the next3060 days… -
Should we just start calling him Archibald Comey ?
In that spirit, I want to rebut a legal error I’ve heard him make in a couple of interviews over the last few days, most recently when interviewed by Rush Limbaugh this afternoon. Apparently making some errant assumptions based on the fact that the FBI director, by statute, has a ten-year term, he has opined that the FBI is an agency independent of the executive branch; therefore, he concludes, the FBI director does not work for, and may not be fired by, the president.
This is incorrect. -
Tedtam’s diet lets her eat fruit, mine doesn’t.
Actually, not much. Some berries, like strawberries, are allowed in very limited amounts. So long to the mangoes, bananas, and apples. /small tear
As far as crunch goes, there are recipes/instructions for making cheese crisps. There are also kale chips, which are pretty good if salted correctly and not made with too much oil. Nuts, especially almonds and pecans are good, but watch the carb creep there. I recently saw a recipe for sour cream crackers. There are other recipes for different types of crackers, but I haven’t tried any of them yet, though I was thinking I should make some to take with me for Thanksgiving at my sister’s house.
I do miss my popcorn. And those baskets of chips at Mexican restaurants. I could plow through a whole bowl of those by myself. Here are a couple of sites with recipes:

LOL. Who could put it past these people to fire Comey. I’m like you I don’t think Obama is going to stick his neck out for Hillary but never say never right now. -
Boy, sometimes I wish I could believe everything I read on the internet
http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/chatter-grows-that-ryan-could-step-down/ar-AAjRQzm?li=BBmkt5R&ocid=spartandhp
As to Comey, he needs to be fired. He botched the initial investigation and went to press with incomplete information, based his recommendation on that incomplete information, adjusted the law to suit his purposes, and made a mockery of the FBI and its role in the judicial processes. Then he was forced to yield to internal pressures to review additional information and report to Congress his original mistake. He has brought disgrace to his agency and the fine people who work there. He should have the decency to resign, but absent that, he should be fired.
Carb diet – I’ll start tomorrow, day after for sure. -
I just saw a headline that George StepOnAllofUs’s wife says they’ll move to Australia if Trump wins.
OH PLEASE PLEASEPLEEZEPLEEZEPLEEEEEEEEEZE DON’T BE LYIN’!
Oh, and my most sincere condolences to Australia, should that ever happen. -
If Hillary wins, I could see a possibility, under the right circumstances, where Obama would fire Comey to take the heat off of her and leave the position open for her to fill it. All of that, of course, would create huge blowback.
If Trump wins, Hillary is in big danger, but if Obama fires Comey, no replacement would be approved by Congress until after Trump is inaugurated and it would be his choice. No point in Obama soiling his legacy for her at that point.

Pistachios and cashews are not low carb friendly. Stay away from those.

Hubby’s out tonight, so I decided to get busy in the kitchen. Made a batch of flax bread, a 2g “English muffin”, and a small batch of pancakes/wraps.

I went to a training session at the Butterfly Garden, given by the horticulturist Heidi Shiesele, owner of Treesearch Farms. Although I did some weeding and pruning there early in the summer, after a while it got hot and no one was going most of the summer. So now it is super overgrown. I am adopting a couple of plants there and will prune and shape them as a personal project.

Rain dissipated before it got here. Maybe tomorrow?
