Good morning Hamsters. Ground fog is supposed to be creeping in early on but thus far nothing shows on the moors of the Brazos at Richmond. It will again be the only moisture source the drying pastures will get. We need rain out here. But we have a comfy 62 to start off the day.
Hmmm, the Chron actually has a front page above the fold story headlined “New Clinton emails emerge,” and it is probably in larger boldface type than they would like to use but can’t avoid. The article source is Tribune News Service, whoever they are. Bet all the biggie lefty media are handling this latest revelation with tongs and carefully walking on already cracked eggs.

Reading between the lines in this New Yorker piece on the Drudge banner, I conclude that the info in his hand is so damning that if he does not publicly re-open the case he may be considered guilty of a cover-up. This could be directly tied with the pending Wiki dump that Assange states will cause Hillary to be arrested.
Re-opening this case at this point in the election cycle is so . . . . .out there, that the evidence must be overwhelming. Comey was put in the position to where he had no choice.

I just love small southern towns. The thermostat @ the Ranch House in Alabama died and I couldn’t remember the guy’s name that installed the new A/C back in 2009. He did a good job and was real reasonable so I wanted to contact him. I left the paperwork in the closet where the AC/Furnace is installed but it of course disappeared. I scrolled through my phone and found a guy with a 334 area code that I didn’t recognize and gave him a call, turns out he and his 70 year old dad put the new chimney on the old farm house. He recommended one of his friends for A/C work and now we’re in business. 😉

It appears the consensus among observers is Comey calculated the public/political blowback from withholding the new email story until after the election would be much worse than anything AG Loretta Lynch could do to him. That implies heavily the revelations are extremely bad and are so on their face. There must be glaring and irrefutable evidence involved and, after all, AG Lynch may be out of a job in a few months anyway.
Richard Comey is serving out an appointment that doesn’t expire until September 4, 2023.

An outstanding essay on sexual fascism by a Rhode Island professor.
Pronouns, Ordinary People, and the War over Reality

To pretend, therefore, that we do not know what we immediately and urgently perceive is to do violence at once to human nature, language, the possibility of a shared life, and the intellect’s capacity to apprehend reality. If I cannot say, “There is a man walking down the street,” then it is hard to see how I can make any reliable judgment about anything at all that bears on human existence. If I cannot say, “Joey is going to grow up to be a fine man someday,” then what in life is left to talk about? Everything else is less certain than sex. We may disagree about whether President Eisenhower was a good leader of men, a loyal husband and father, or a pious Christian; but if we cannot agree that President Eisenhower was a man, then speech itself is but sound and fury, signifying nothing. Or, rather, speech collapses into action, and reason lies prone before appetite. Speech delivers the bribes and threats of people who want what they want and do not care overmuch how they get it.

    and,

The second answer is that ideological rent-seekers benefit. I am thinking especially of certain college professors, directors of the hideously named “human resources,” compliance lawyers, federal bureaucrats, and captains of monoform diversity. They sow the mines and then sell you a map to the field. They poison one well, station a surveillance team around the others, and force you to drink from theirs—levying severe fines on you if you try to dip your pitcher into healthy water. They seek confusion and confrontation, because those bring them money and power.

First, they came for our pastors….

A new era has come to our shores, a time where government finds it acceptable to suppress the freedom of religion even to the extent of requesting a minister’s sermons,” Caner said. “As an ordained minister, I know that this is not merely an assault on the messenger, but on the very message of our Sacred Scriptures.”
Caner correctly noted that the government seems to exclusively target one faith — biblical Christianity.
“What the government fails to recognize is that ministers of the Gospel are not hirelings of the state, but ambassadors for our Lord,” he said.

    38 cont’d.
My speculation: What if the FBI found numerous classified emails archived by Huma Abedin she received from HRC that were not turned over in the original investigation violating the multiple subpoenas issued back then, providing incontrovertible proof Clinton deliberately obstructed justice ?
    Just one thought.
    Second thought:
How stupid does one have to be to store classified email/documents on a personal Yahoo account ? It’s staggering. It’s almost tempting to believe she did it on purpose.
EDIT: I discovered the Paul Sperry post below in #40 about 10 minutes after I posted this.

  36. Texpat Avatar
    Texpat

Paul Sperry, former Fellow at the Hoover Institution, wrote this on Wednesday, before the new FBI revelations hit the fan.

Another Clinton aide told the FBI that “Abedin may have kept emails that Clinton did not.”
By forwarding classified emails to her personal email account, Abedin appears to have violated a Classified Information NonDisclosure Agreement she signed at the State Department on Jan. 30, 2009, in which she agreed to keep all classified material under the control of the US government.
Even so, the FBI did not search Abedin’s laptop or Yahoo email account at any point in their year-long investigation into possible mishandling of classified information and espionage. Nor did the bureau call Abedin back for additional questioning, despite documentary evidence, as well as the statements from other witnesses, that clearly contradicted her own statements.

  37. Super Dave Avatar

#33 TexPat, I have to agree, and ” Another Clinton aide told the FBI that “Abedin may have kept emails that Clinton did not.” This was the very first thing that I thought about, I figured that Hillary deleted all on he server but didn’t take into account that Abedin may have had a lot of the same ones. Remember the FBI found thousands of deleted E Mails on other people’s computers.

  38. Bonecrusher Avatar

TP: I find it a bit curious that they did not seize Huma’s, Anthony’s, Cheryl Mills, and all the other co-conspirators electronic devices as a process of the investigation. If it were you or I, we can be almost certain that they would have done exactly that – right? The failure to video and audio records the interviews under oath, particularly Hillary’s is unbelievable. I think Comey is trying to rehabilitate himself and escape possible conflict of interest and corruption charges against himself. I find that he reputation for being beyond politics is manufactured and false, particularly when viewed against the Valerie Plame outing of the already outed, and of the millions he was paid for unknown work by Clinton confidantes.

  39. Bonecrusher Avatar

#41 SD: Let’s not forget that the emails in question were under subpoena when they were deleted and were absolutely State Dept/Clinton Foundation related. Thier deletion is hard evidence of obstruction of justice.

Vacuumed the whole downstairs and stairs, including the walls (to get cobwebs) and windows and windowsills. Moved furniture and got underneath stuff. Scrubbed our dining room furniture with Murphy’s and cleaned/polished other wood furniture while I was at it. Washed all of our floor rugs and they’re all out to dry now. Cleaned the back porch, sweeping the accumulation of leaves and throwing out some items for trash. While I was resting and enjoying my back porch, I looked at my denuded dirt pile and thought “I could go out there with my fork and break it up a bit, so later on it will be easier to dig.” Grabbed my fork and traipsed to the top of the hill.

On June 28, 2016, Abedin said under oath in a sworn deposition that she looked for all devices that she thought contained government work on them so the records could be given to the State Department. (These records were subsequently reviewed by the FBI.)
“How did you go about searching for what records you may have in your possession to be returned to the State Department?” Attorney Ramona Cotca for Judicial Watch asked her.
“I looked for all the devices that may have any of my State Department work on it and returned — returned — gave them to my attorneys for them to review for all relevant documents. And gave them devices and paper,” Abedin answered.

I think Abedin is going to hang for this. I see no way Hillary can throw her to the wolves, though, without doing the same to herself.

I don’t know whether the latest revelations of the Lying Succubus’s criminality will have much effect on the election. But here’s what I think it means: On his way out, Bonnie Prince Barry will pardon her for all crimes she may have committed, whether she wins or loses. This will accomplish two things. First, he will have destroyed his legacy, such that it is. He will always be remembered as the man who pardoned Clinton, much like Ford/Nixon. Second, and more important, Clinton will either step into office unimpeachable but illegitimate and be a one-term ineffectual president, or politically toxic to everyone she comes in contact with. Win or lose, it means an end to the Clinton family crime syndicate. They will be pariahs. Cuckoo Chelsea’s political “career” will be worse than Caroline You know Kennedy.

Personally, if push comes to shove, I believe Obama is far too much a narcissist to sacrifice his lame-ass legacy for Hillary and, ultimately, the Democratic Party. He’s above all that, doncha know ?
If Hillary wins and he pardons her before she takes office, I predict some serious civil unrest and judicial/law enforcement uproar like we haven’t seen.
If Hillary loses and he pardons her, she becomes a pariah.
Either way, the pardons themselves are toxic to her because they amount to admissions of guilt and she can’t survive that in any case, President-elect or not.

This is some informative info from former insider, Andrew McCarthy:

I have never been a fan of the notion – at the Justice Department, it is the received wisdom – that the election calendar should factor into criminal investigations.
Law-enforcement people will tell you that taking action too close to Election Day can affect the outcome of the vote; therefore, it should not be done because law-enforcement is supposed to be apolitical. But of course, not taking action one would take but for the political timing is as political as it gets. To my mind, it is more political because the negatively affected candidate is denied any opportunity to rebut the law-enforcement action publicly.
The unavoidable fact of the matter is that, through no fault of law-enforcement, investigations of political corruption are inherently political. Thus, I’ve always thought the best thing to do is bring the case when it’s ready, don’t bring it if it’s not ready, and don’t worry about the calendar any more than is required by the principle of avoiding the appearance of impropriety.

Gerald Ford pardoned Nixon one month after he resigned. Nixon was toast, gone and beaten, no one thought he was ever coming back, as humiliated as any human being could ever be on a national scale.
The dynamics here are different. We’re talking about the pardon of an incoming president.
For Obama to pardon Clinton after an electoral defeat would rain hell on himself and his legacy. He might do it anyway, as Hamous suggests, but I’m doubtful. I just don’t think he wants to tarnish his vanity for someone he truly despises.
If Obama were to pardon her after winning the election, I think, would plunge this country into chaos in every sense of the word – civilly, legally, legislatively, judicially. I’m even more doubtful Obama would do this and not because he gives a damn anything but himself. I think he would enjoy leaving Hillary twisting in the wind.

Anthony Weiner has been cooperating with the FBI. Via Instapundit:

Fox News chief political anchor Brett Baier reported Sunday that former Congressman Anthony Weiner voluntarily turned over to the FBI a personal computer that may have thousands of emails related to an investigation of Democratic president nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email server while she was secretary of state.
Baier sent an email during Fox News Sunday saying two sources had confirmed to him that Weiner was cooperating with the FBI.

He handed over the computer. No warrant needed.

Well, there’s no question that the e-mails have always been the greatest threat to her candidacy for president, that her conduct in regard to the e-mails is really indefensible and if there was going to be more information that came out, it was the one thing, as I said on the air last night, actually that could really perhaps affect this election.
We don’t know what this means yet except that it’s a real bombshell. And it is unthinkable that the Director of the FBI would take this action lightly, that he would put this letter forth to the Congress of the United States saying there is more information out there about classified e-mails and call it to the attention of congress unless it was something requiring serious investigation. So that’s where we are…

Cheap Chinese JUNK!! And no. I’m not talking about a ship. OK, so the three way fan switch in one of my ceiling fans just asploded, numerous pieces fell out when I removed the cover. I go down to Lowes and buy one for about $5 bucks. I get it home and its so cheap that I don’t want to use it but I sure as He!! didn’t want to fight the traffic at El Dorado and Gatebrook so I try to make it work. Instead of wires or screws to hold the wires, it has these little spring clips to hold the wire in place,…JUNK, anyway two of the three holes had the clips but the common and speed 3 didn’t, so I had to take it back. Oh and I direct wired it for the lowest speed, (it has a wall switch). I’ve been meaning to replace the whole thing so now I have a reason. Back to JUNK, several years ago my wife replaced all the kitchen light switch plate covers with bright white ones, she was tired of the ivory ones. The plate in the kitchen has three switches, light, dishwasher and garbage disposal and I thought it looked tacky with the switches a different color than the plate so I head off to Lowes and get new switches. After about a year the switch for the garbage disposal failed! The original one lasted over 20 years and was still working when I took it out…. NOW, for years all light switches are rated at 15 amps since the breaker is 15 amps, that way they’ll work with a motor or whatever, lights use with only an amp or so. Come to find out they have 5 and 15 amp switches now! The difference in cost to make them couldn’t be more than a few pennies each! I will say that my Gumby Dammit, ¾ HP heavy duty disposal does draw a lot of current but like I said the original switch still worked after over 20 years.

I agree. This coming from the Italian girl who made pasta 3 times a week, loves a good garlic bread, and lived for the Christmas lasagna.

I watched a foreign, English dubbed movie on my Pureflix last night. It was the story of a Romanian woman who was thrown into a Communist prison when they were conquered by Russia. Wow, what a story.
The first prison she was in, she was interrogated and tortured brutally, to try to get her to name other names. Instead, she fell back on the faith that her mother had taught her and that she had wandered away from. She thanked her guards for the moldy bread and water she was given, and saved some pits from some food she was given. She sharpened the pits against her bed rail and then scratched verses that she remembered from the Bible in the soft white plaster with her “pen”. Since the plaster was white and the letters were white, and the lighting was so bad, the guards never noticed what she had done. She did it not only for herself, but for whomever was incarcerated in that cell after her.
She was transferred to a labor camp, and while trying to get food to the prisoners in solitary (who were not fed), she herself ended up in solitary. The camp was an old monastery, and solitary was held in the church. While on work detail there, she discovered a Bible that had been tossed aside as the church was ransacked by the Communists. She managed to smuggle this huge Bible (sans cover) back to the barracks when she left solitary, rejoicing with her sisters in struggle that God can take even the most evil of actions and make something good come from it. They tore the Bible into sections and passed them around, reading joyfully and hiding it carefully each day. They were run out of their rooms one night, terrified that they were going to be shot, but were returned to find their rooms had been torn apart in a search.
But the Bible – the whole huge batch of pages – had not been discovered.
She eventually survived her ordeal and was released. She blessed her time in prison, as it drew her closer to God.
    What a movie.

Oh, I forgot to mention that when she was in the labor camp, a newcomer arrived who told her story of torture at the same prison that the first lady had been sent to, but she found those verses inscribed in the wall of her cell. When she was brought before the interrogators, she was calm and resolute, refusing their demands to give in. “You have been talking to someone! Who have you been talking to?!” they demanded of the young woman.
    “Jesus,” was her reply.
The first woman asked her which cell she had been in. “24,” was the reply.
The first lady, hearing this, broke into tears.

Just got this in an email:
    THE OLD COW!
Late one evening, while the campaign motorcade proceeded down a lonely rural road in west Texas, a very aged cow that had wandered away from its farm pasture suddenly stepped onto the road directly in the path of the oncoming vehicles. The Secret Service limo driver tried to avoid the aging bovine but just couldn’t stop the car in time. Unfortunately, the old cow was struck and killed.
From the back seat of the limo, Hillary Clinton demanded that her driver to go up to the nearby farmhouse and explain to the owners what had happened. She insisted, however, that the agent should resist any request from the farmer to pay for the animal, and she added, “You killed it, so if they demand money, it will come out of your own pocket!” Meanwhile, Hillary stayed in the car making phone calls on her unsecured cell phone.
About an hour later the driver staggered back to the car with his clothes in disarray. He was holding a half-empty bottle of expensive wine in one hand, a huge Cuban cigar in the other, and was smiling happily, smeared with lipstick.
“What happened to you?” asked Hillary.
“Well,” the driver replied, “the farmer gave me the cigar, his wife gave me the wine, and their beautiful twin daughters made passionate love to me.
“I had just stepped inside the door and said, ‘I’m Hillary Clinton’s driver and I’ve just killed the old cow.’ ”
“The rest happened so fast I couldn’t stop it.”
