Hubby usually talks in his sleep about work stuff. He’ll use his hands, too, on occasion. He’s asleep in his recliner, and I just saw him make the Sign of the Cross (what we Catholics do before a prayer, recalling our belief in the Trinity).
Bank of America has been able to reduce a multi-billion dollar mortgage fraud penalty imposed by the Justice Department by giving millions of dollars to liberal groups approved by the Obama administration.
It took five days for them to soften up, but the Texas Peaches I bought at HEB Monday are outstanding.

Went to take another look at that house on the hill post. Wife had left this message for her Hubby:
We love and miss you. Thank you for holding down the island. There’s a volleyball in the shed if you get lonely. Love you.

I saw a post Over Yonder today about a woman out in the country in Ft Bend Co. whose house was the only one standing up out of the water in her area. And that was because they bought 10 acres with a retention pond dug, and the dirt from that hole was mounded up to make a hill 20′… Read more »

Hang in there Adee, if the water is down, maybe you’re in the clear. Good luck. 😉

Thanking you all for the kind thoughts. It’s raining steadily again, rats, but the water has gone down since we’ve been over here. However it will take a while to only have puddles left. The weather folks think that will be after tomorrow. I’m skeptical because of the flubs over the crest date. 🙂
Just updating:
Doctor’s office just called and it seems I have bone spurs and degeneration of neck bones going on. Next step is an MRI and then prolly an operation. I look at this from the bright side, maybe we have found the source of my grumpiness. And here I thought grouchiness was a genetic thing. 🙂
Good great morning Hamsters. Prayers on our behalf by many friends have been answered. And the river has crested despite all the intermittent rains. Weather folks say the worst of the storm systems that just past us missed us in soaked Fort Bend County, and the oncoming ones are not likely to be as severe. Hope that is so. Our… Read more »
With the Brazos finally cresting perhaps Adee squeaked by with those last two inches remaining. Staying with neighbors, she probably has limited blog access.

I received a text yesterday from Southern Tragedy about her phone getting flooded, so I wondered if her house got flooded, but as usual, Peach Creek over flowed and cut off the entrance to her subdivision. It was down yesterday but she though it might go under again overnight. I’ve not heard from Adee, but I’m afraid, as she said… Read more »

#1 TexPat, that was great, as a subscriber of the WSJ, I’m surprised that I missed it. Ilked this; And that is the other surprising notion explaining our riches: “liberalism,” in its original meaning of “worthy of a free person.” Liberalism was a new idea. The English Leveller Richard Rumbold, facing the hangman in 1685, declared, “I am sure there… Read more »
Just trashed an email from one of our credit card companies. Seems they want me to update Hubby’s income information “for a future credit line consideration”. My ever-lovin’ wiss. Morning, everyone. I see Sarge is ok, but how about Adee?
Iran is playing chess to conquer the Middle East and JugEars is participating to ensure that the USA and Israel will have as little influence as possible, thus weakening both to the greatest possible degree.
HEADLINE: Balls up: Are scrotal lifts the next trend in male grooming?
Maybe this isn’t such a bad thing. People dumb enough to adjust their plumbing because they’re not satisfied with how God designed their bodies just ought not reproduce. A scrotal lift might just accomplish that.

Music is diverse, but sometimes you realize it’s all related. There’s nothing new under the sun.
She…she came from the land of the cotton.
Found a Catholic webinar on Islam and Mohammed.
In Oregon this song would have to be called They.
Oh my word! /big grin

In his sleep.
Now, that’s precious.
All these years I thought it was magic.

I once knew a girl with car seats like that.
Fun girl.
🙂
Heh… Katfish mean looking biker dude by day and cool black dude by night.
Y’all should see that Crown Vic. The seat backs are broken permanently into the “cool black dude” position. Most uncomfortable ride on the planet.
I should borrow Katfish’s venerable Crown Vic to go down there.
Shannon, if that area has a Ms Adee as good as our Ms Adee, she won’t need the sign to be able to figure you out.
How many time ya figger people will say “well duh?”
I guess I’m going to have to mosey down the road to the FM529 Brazos bridge and take a look see.
I’ll put an OLD COOT sign around my neck.
Well, all good things must end, pulling up the tent stakes and heading to Texas in the morning. Dayaam, what a fine week it has been! Later Gang. 😉

Me and boys will cook while you and Tedtam pick up limps in the yard.
Is this a post-flood cleanup party you boyz are planning? Why, what a nice thing to do for Ms Adee.
Well don’t go cold turkey on the grumpy, let us down easy.
Okay, Tedtam gets a break.
NEXT PARTY AT ADEE’S.
Better bring two kegs this time, Katfish. Make at least one of them Sinner Bock.
Just let me get my X-acto kit and my hand held grinder and I’ll help you out with those bone spurs.
Shame on you, blamin’ yo’ mama.
Happy for you, too, Squawks! It’s always good to have a diagnosis, and a course of action.
Adee, so happy for you! Thanks for letting us know.

Morning, everyone. I see Sarge is ok, but how about Adee?
This is a very interesting piece on the situation in the Middle East.
Iran is playing chess to conquer the Middle East and JugEars is participating to ensure that the USA and Israel will have as little influence as possible, thus weakening both to the greatest possible degree.
Here’s the little walk I took yesterday afternoon.
I’m hiking up 359 today to get some groceries at the Randalls.
I like to hike on my days off. I like to take videos when I hike. This next one will be a bit different from those.
