Well, we know there’s a push to label genetically modified food. Genes have been selectively modified for years through breeding and genetic selection practices since mankind started farming. Genes are, well – GENES! Not chemicals.  Well, I guess technically they ARE chemicals, but not chemicals like nerve agent pesticides or birth control pills.  (Which are in our environment now – all those birth control chemicals going into our water systems.  Where’s the outrage over the high levels of bc chemicals in our waterways?)

But don’t go try ‘splaining it to those same hipsters who are worried about GM foods. They want to be sure to also label all food with DNA.

The study, published in the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology Journal last week, also found that 33 percent of respondents thought that non-GM tomatoes “did not contain genes” and 32 percent thought that “vegetables did not have DNA.” So there’s that.

This is reason enough to vote Trump: HEADLINE: DOJ Resists Court Order to Provide Ethics Training for Its Lawyers and Wants to Hide the Names of Illegal Aliens Granted Amnesty The entire DOJ needs to be fired! We are less like church-hoppers than people fairly steady in faith and practice who are continually having to flee burning ecclesial villages as the barbarians advance. I make no apologies for it, for we are in an age where hard decisions must be made in the context of that situation. The culture is in decline, and with it the churches… Read more »

Adee, it is good to hear that you are safe and sound, even if not completely past the peril of flooding. If there is any consolation to be found, perhaps the slow rise is preferable to a flash flood taking everything. Know that we are thinking of you during this ordeal. Stay safe.

We are about 2″ away from having water come into the house over the top of the slab. Rained here last night and several times today, not helping. Still no crest that can be defined as one. We’re moving furniture out of the sunken rooms and into the regular rooms in hopes of avoiding damage. Neighboring areas are even harder… Read more »

The mighty Brazos will have it’s own delta soon

I don’t think all the barge operators on the Intra Coastal Canal are going to let that big ditch get clogged. If all the silt goes into the bay, then yes. Actually that may be good for everybody, as it would add fish nursery area to Matagorda Bay.

In case you are someone that has everything, here is something that you probably do not have.

Cabot Guns has done something truly special by creating the first mechanical devices made from a meteorite with its new set of 1911 semi-automatic pistols.

An expert climatologist/hydrologist is proving carbon emissions have nothing to do with waterflows, rainfall and droughts. He believes: “There is no correlation of CO2 emissions history to the moisture time series that I have evaluated. Also, for the same stations that I review there is little or no correlation of temperature to streamflow. Rather, ocean drivers can account for changes… Read more »

I think Squawk should file a workers’ comp claim for his neck problem with the Internet Moderators’ Union. Sitting in front of a computer night after night for years dueling with idiots and morons with keyboards has obviously taken its toll. A lawsuit against the Ron Paul campaign would probably be a good idea too.
