I just pulled in to The Buckingham, where the boss now resides. I saw a cotton tail hopping around eating and such. It is nice to know that the city hasn’t gone completely urban and sterile . . . .yet.
Oldest son and wife coming over with the little people after RenFest this afternoon. Memphis style dry rub baby backs on the smoker, sausage, tater salad and Sweetie’s world famous baked beans.
Oh and “Roll Tide”,….FWIW; Being it was Bama N A&M game, I had to remain neutral. 😀

I just started a big ole pot of homemade Chicken Vegetable soup. I purchased a 5 lb baking hen @ H.E.B yesterday and boiled it for about 3 hours last night and deboned it this morning. I just finished getting all the fixin’s together and put it in the crockpot.

Texans go to halftime clutching a 10-7 lead over the Jaguars. It is obvious that an ailing JJ is worth one healthy opponent anyhow. He looks a bit pale from what I’ve seen of his face. Coach O’Brien likely has plenty to say to those who made stupid mistakes in the first half.

Well, my wimmin’s are on a road trip this weekend. Yesterday was my wife’s birthday and daughter treated her to a Clay Walker concert @ the Brewster Street Ice House in Corpus Christi last night, I got a pix/text from daughter an hour ago and they are on Mustang Island, Port Aransas, pretty day for it, nice and cool.

I just did some tree trimming. Have a pine tree with branches that grow out over the street. It was one that I had professionally trimmed for elevation in the spring, but I noticed a couple of weeks ago that there were some broken branch ends hanging down and turning brown. I had assumed maybe the CoH trash trucks had… Read more »
Truthfully, the cuts I did get were from carelessness in walking around that stuff. Banging into sharp corners with an arm or elbow. Especially when the area was crowded with completed fans backed up in the assembly and shipping areas.

You’d have had a heart attack watching me fabricate all those industrial fans for ten years…lots of bare-handed handling of sheet metal.
There was only one rule: Never, ever let it slip.
so, BE honest now, how many fingers do you have left? 😀
The guy made me nervous flinging his hands around all those sharp edges.

When we put a metal roof on Mom’s house a few decades ago I had my quota of tin snipping.
And cutting those sheets with a circular saw with the blade installed backwards , with no ear protection.
Dumb.
That probably caused most of my hearing loss instead of all those concerts.

My dear, dear lady! I am so pleased that you have been in Texas so long that you have picked up the “fixing to” locution! Or is it a verbal tic? In any case, it was a blast to see this…
Dawn’s rosy fingers are fixing to show themselves

Good morning Hamsters. Nippy but delightful 52 out here on the moors of the Brazos at Richmond. Dawn’s rosy fingers are fixing to show themselves shortly, but meanwhile the quiet of the night embraces the neighborhood. Thank you, Lord.

Checking the weather on Ch. 2 at 6 since 11 and 13 were doing football then, we see that northern Michigan had 2″ of snow and points east also had snow today. Ahem.
Green Bay is forecast for a hard freeze tonight and mid 40s tomorrow at game time according to the weather service when I checked that city.
Do city rabbits have gender?

Packers held off San Diego 27-20 in a nail biter at the end. Neat but not gaudy again. Defense is priceless.

Frankly, I’ve been a fadoodlor fadoodling fadoodlettes for decades and so far have had had no complaints.
This one made me chuckle and lament at the same time.
What a sad state of affairs we have found ourselves in.
Still an absolutely gorgeous day, 80 on the front porch, mild breeze, comfortably dry humidity, windows still open, and antihistamine working. Yea.
Can’t ask for much more. Except some rain next week, please.
And the Texans to get their act together tomorrow.
Now for something completely different:
