From # 35’s link.
“The bronze statue is now destined for a museum, where it will presumably appear alongside other university relics such as jokes, freedom of speech and students who aren’t total whiny bitches.”
Several American stand-up comics will agree to that.
Shannon #27 I do not mind Windows 10 from what little I have played with this thing. I must confess there are some things the softies got right. I kinda even like the new start menu system. I like the idea of being able to pin certain things to the desktop fro quick access. I notice my typing has not… Read more »
I found out last night that Clara Cruz, a friend and a huge assistant for our DRE, suffered a brain aneurysm blowout. I hear the surgery has been successful, and I just saw on FB that she’s following commands. Hopefully, there’s been minimal brain damage and she’ll have a full recovery. Pray for Clara, her family, and for our DRE,… Read more »
The most dangerous place to be yesterday was in a synagogue at 7:41 EDT when Yom Kippur ended and Jews were stampeding (yes, stampeding) to the room where the Break Fast food was being served. You’ve never heard such complaining as when Jews are required to not eat for 25 hours.
Bought a Toshiba 2-1 laptop with Windows 10. Needed something I could take with me on trips to download pictures 2 cameras onto. STORAGE. Holy crap there is a bunch of security and privacy issues I have to address on this thing. there are things enabled by default that I really do not like. If you are interested the link… Read more »
OK, who tripped over the power cord? I’ve been trying since about 6:30 to find y’all. Weird, I couldn’t raise Hamous or Drudge but could get my mail and over yonder??
I splurged on a new office chair today. My first one aggravated my back, and I got one from my Dad’s house when he moved. It was better for my back, but the central shaft had been “pushed through” and scraped the floor. I didn’t realize that until I got it into the office. I’m assuming that it broke since… Read more »
According to the Chronicle, my alma mater opened for business 103 years ago today. I looked for my name in the famous alumni/student section but it wasn’t in there – neither was Howard Hughes, James A. Baker, John Mecom, and several others so I didn’t feel so bad. The pictures of the gargoyles still fascinate me these many years later.… Read more »

Did a cold front come through? I got up late and just stepped outside with the birdseed. 75 degrees and a cold breeze was the last thing I expected. Or maybe my pump just wasn’t warmed up yet… Brisk. I like it! Let’s see some more of that.
Yogi Berra on D-Day. “Before Yogi ever set foot on a Major League diamond—when he was just a teenager with one year of Class B baseball behind him—he joined the Navy and participated in the “Great Crusade” to liberate Europe, serving on a “rocket boat” off Normandy supporting the D-Day landings, which he described as a grand adventure: “I was… Read more »

Good morning Hamsters. Comfy 64 and light ground mist at 7, but apparently the low humidity from yesterday will vanish today. In today’s Chron the schizoid lefty propagandists are all gushing about Pope Francis supporting them on climate change, etc. but snarky about the purported insult to California native Americans converted to Christianity in the 18th century by the Pope… Read more »

Read that earlier. I started reading Tim Blair back in 2001. It’s a must read column – hilarious.

I have already pinned Hamous.org to the desktop.
Thing comes loaded with XBOX something or another. I do not do XBOX something or another.
Shannon
From what I gather…………. Yup
Windows 10 sure is purdy. 🙂
Is “pinning to desktop” different than “creating a shortcut”?
Nap time! Like everything else, late today. I’ll have to use my timer and hope it gets me up in time to feed the cats.
Later, Couchers.

Good thing she no longer drinks, even beer. So you must have me confused with Iron Mary. Now that gal is a lush!
Why do I have a schedule? So that I can spend as much waking time as possible with the love of my life, der Hubs.

Stealing The Pope’s Stone
It won’t be brewski time for MHarp till midnight.
I want one. These fly swatters are slower and less accurate than they used to be.

#17 – er………..uh………..um…………WHY do you even HAVE a “schedule”????
#16 A buddy of mine has one of those things, he loves it, although wife isn’t too happy about the salt all over the place.
Wow, is my schedule ever hosed. 🙁 I just finished breakfast.
After reading the reviews, I’ve been tempted to get one of these things. I’ll probably wait until Sarge gets around to doing his review before I take the plunge. Posted reviews are encouraging though.
