Good morning Hamsters. Mucho ground mist and a pleasant 73 at 6:30. Rain is merely a figment of imagination for today around our place. Two inches of shade would be welcome.

Ditto Shannon on the animal count. Get dizzy just looking at the pic.

Client of Sweetie’s offers cash for house, wants no inspection and quick turn around. Offer is a little less than another but seller likes the terms and accepts. Buyer all the sudden wants inspection two days before closing, doesn’t like inspection results and now is asking for repairs. Seller says nope, now they start all over again looking at houses again, not a dime made yet. Idiots.

If the questions are legit, and the emminent domain questions are, he can only pull the temper tantrum once or twice more and then he will be done. If he tries to BS an answer, he is done. Either way, once that line comes up, he is done; it is just a matter of time.

    My, my, my.

There’s a lot of “manufactured consent” going around And Trumpy’s gonna get in on the action.

What do you do when you say something that will turn most Veterans against you?

Several people listed as part of the “Veterans for Trump coalition” formed by Donald Trump following his incendiary comments about John McCain’s war record have denied they are part of the group, the Guardian has learned.

Trump’s campaign announced the formation of the New Hampshire-based group in response to criticism of the business mogul’s labelling of McCain, who spent five and a half years in a North Vietnamese jail, where he was tortured, as “not a war hero”.

A number of people were named as members of “Veterans for Trump” on Trump’s election website. “These veterans have pledged their support to Mr Trump in the primary, and they will be advocating for him,” a press release said.

But when the Guardian contacted several claimed Veterans for Trump members on Friday, three said they had never heard of the organisation and had not signed up as members.

So it looks like the Trump campaign formed a fake Veterans group to endorse him, and used the names of veterans who didn’t know their names were being used.

The Trump campaign announced the formation of Veterans for Trump after the 69-year-old business mogul was roundly criticised for mocking McCain’s military history.

“He’s not a war hero. He’s a war hero because he was captured? I like people who weren’t captured,” Trump said in a campaign appearance in Iowa last Saturday.

The Veterans for Trump coalition was announced six days later. The revelation that several “members” of the Veterans for Trump coalition had never heard of the organisation, let alone knowingly joined it, raises questions as to the legitimacy of the coalition.

And its not the first time.

On Wednesday, The Hollywood Reporter said it obtained an email that came from a casting company named Extra Mile offering actors $50 to attend the announcement and pose as Trump supporters.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the email was sent Friday.

“We are looking to cast people for the event to wear T-shirts and carry signs and help cheer him in support of his announcement,” the email said. “We understand this is not a traditional ‘background job,’ but we believe acting comes in all forms and this is inclusive of that school of thought.”

The chipmunk is reported to be in stable condition but is deathly afraid of anyone with a combover. A hospital attendant with a combover entered the chipmunk’s room and upon seeing the attendant the chipmunk scurried up the IV stand, shivering uncontrollably.

I’m really sick and tired of McCain and his lackeys claiming he is a stalwart supporter of the American military.

During a July 23 interview on the Lars Larson Show, Senator Sen. Dean Heller (R-NV) said that in June he “submitted an amendment” to the 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) “to give military base commanders the authority to allow service members to carry personal firearms.”

That was weeks before the heinous attack on Chattanooga, but he says the amendment went nowhere because Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) “didn’t want the amendment as part of the bill and wouldn’t accept it.”

    I agree.

Here’s hoping our 2006 Maytag washer and dryer last at least 20 years and the repairman still has parts for them. The washer has 17 cycles of which I use maybe half. The dryer isn’t as nuanced so I use most of its cycles. Haven’t had a problem with either of them yet. But I clean the dryer lint filter after every load and poke a skinny brush down the tube leading to the dryer vent tubing every so often. The washer gets wiped out with a paper towel after every load so there’s very little gunk collecting. They look practically new inside and out.

Our kitchen has the original double ovens and cooktop with vent hood, and the second dishwasher is a 1993 model. They look like new, except of course dated. We’ve had three fridges in 50 years, current one and newest (2006) still chugging along. It has an icemaker and water through the door feature. The others didn’t. The house is 35 years old.

We’re keeping the mostly obedient simple things as long as we can. Do not need a smarty pants mini-robot thinking it is in charge, confident that garbage in /garbage out is a clear and present danger.

Top loaders might be old fashioned, not hip with designers, and likely less expensive, but they are much more comfortable for anyone with back issues or balance issues. Never mind they’re easier to see into, pull clothes out of, or place stuff on when the lid is closed. It isn’t as though they’re wringer washer designs, one step up from washboards that were one step up from pounding clothes on rocks.

In my eyes we are done but Ted Cruz gives me last chance hopes to at least getting off the socialism throttle and righting the ship. I don’t give him much of a shot but if by some chance the country gets in the mood to shake things up, Cruz will be the man not Trump. In a Cruz/ Trump match up, Cruz wins hands down, if Cruz gets no traction neither will Trump. No Cruz, we get Dole/McCain/Romney anyways so third party run by Trump or not it does not matter, we’re headed down the same path.

In other words, if you’re scared of Trump, it’s over anyway.

Trump crap is just a phase anyway, we need to act like we’ve done this before.

Trump is serving the purpose of a blunt instrument and he will fade away because he will step in it much worse. His presence separates the casper milque toast establishment SOB Rs from those of character and that is a good thing.

Today we hit 95 out here, and the breeze was absent for most of it. Ugh. Now as sunset approaches in the northwest, the breeze shows up. Front and back porch thermometers read 90 at the moment. Usually they’re down around 85 by now.

We need a very large foot to kick that high all the way out of the state.

The problem with this website is it has no Soul.

    #67 & #69 –

I have no problem with something being made more complex if there is a real, tangible benefit to it. Just seems to me that a washing machine now doesn’t do anything all that differently than one from 30 years ago. I guess I’m turning into the old man myself. GET OFF MY LAWN! 🙂

AaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaMEN! (you could be ME cussing all the electronics gewgaws throughout these new fangled motorcycles!)

My Gracie is a 2001 RoadKing and has WAY too much electronic crapola on her at 15 years old!!

If I could afford it – I’d get her re-wired with a danged 1965 Pan Head wiring harness complete with mechanical contact points!! (at least I can fix THOSE)

I think Sarge is hanging out entirely too much with weirdos that support Trump.
I have yet to meet one swinging ___ that doesn’t think he’s a clown.
