Good morning Hamsters. No leaf stirring and a slightly mugly 71 greets the day. Ugh.
The worms that ravaged pecan trees last year are back again, chewing leaves
and stripping branches. Spouse sprayed our pecans as high as he could reach with the sprayer on the tractor, but that effectively was mostly trunks that bore the little monsters. A large pecan across the street is missing the majority of its leaves; several of our papershells are chewed but not nearly so bad. Will have to look at the native pecans to see if any of them are likewise infested. Prolific worm pellets are on the driveway under an affected tree, back as thick as before I swept the driveway yesterday. The pecan crop from these trees will be small if at all. -

Weak and weary but glad to be home. -
I think there’s a simple answer to the question. Super Dave is the expert in the area, but I think the activity is ill advised while wearing a spacesuit.
-
I had to describe the oc pic to the boss. The boss is 92, legally blind and wears 2 hearing aids. The description gave him a belly laugh.
Thank you. -
In order for it to work at all, one would either have to be inside a pressurized vessel and be content to jet propel within that OR expose one’s TN to the vacuum of space resulting in a quick death.

I would have posted the link from townhall, but I could not get it to come up on my phone.
Anything to win is ok, even flat out criminality – if you are a lib.

Well, as interesting as this way out there theoretical exercise may be, you just know some not too bright adolescents and post adolescents will try to experiment on terra firma or slightly above same. Guaranteed some of them will be Darwin Award candidates and maybe a few winners. The possibilities are endless.

Morning everyone.
So, Shannon, did the Mrs receive any treatment, or just under observation when they held her over at MHMC? What is the plan at this point? Valve replacement? Medication?
-

Glad you both are back home. Max is likely overjoyed too.

I remember Dad would find really long cane poles. He tied newspaper to one end and set it on fire. Then he lifted the flames up and torched the web worms in the pecan trees. Seemed to work. I missed doing that when we moved to Friendswood.

If you wrapped a bag (spacesuit) around a jet engine it wouldn’t propel you anywhere, no? Besides the smell of jet exhaust inside the bag. Serious stuff here, we must discover the truth!

Basic sterile procedure would stop a lot of this nonsense.

Will the SCOTUS scuttle Ocare by nuking the improper subsidies? Will they ignore the plain text and once again legislate from the bench? As with previous rulings who the wiss knows?

“We don’t yet have a complete strategy.”

The commentary on the link in #18 is interesting. Not the leftist drivel one would expect from politico.

Mharper
They used the paddles on her three times to get her back into normal rhythm. Unfortunately she went back arythmic 30 hours later. She has congestive heart failure with complications from rheumatoid arthritis. Also a prolapsed mitral valve for many years that is getting raggedy. Not a candidate for valve replacement.
New drugs for arythmia may convert her back in a couple of weeks. -
Convert her back to what?

somebody in mid Grandma blissful stupor is cruisin for ANOTHER kegger at her house while She’s out I’m thinkin…………… 🙂

I really have to ask the question, why?
Of particular interest to the most demented is a new device at the bottom of the link. Prolly not safe for work. -
So the Noo Yawk Slimes does a hit piece on the Rubio’s traffic infractions and yet somehow remain mostly silent on Hitlery and her 90+mph Scooby trips?
If it weren’t for double standards the left would have no standards at all.

Rib crackin’ LOL. The ditz likely is too young for Jurassic Park 1-3 and will have a severe case of the vapors when the new JP hits theaters. Apparently never heard of a move guy named Speilberg either. Must be the druggie equivalent of three sheets to the wind to boot.

#28, Given your age I believe you. What I find surprising is you can remember it.
-
Remember what?
-
Why are you asking me?
-
Yeah, you’re the last one that would know.
-
Shannon, hope the new meds help control the heart rate. Saying a little prayer for that.
-
Have you noticed that for some time none of the pundits/experts/commentators/bloggers and media wizards have mentioned that if SCOTUS rules against Obama and his minions in the state subsidy Ocare exchange case and declares it kaput, the whole thing is kaput because the law has no separability clause? Will Obama’s minions try to sneak one into the law? Will the RINOs drop the prize just as it’s handed to us?

Time to move to Colorado.
Damn mosquitos, even the dog doesn’t want to go out there.
-
umm, I don’t recall.

Adee I heard someone say the establishment is scared to death that the administration will lose. Because they don’t have a clue what to do about it.
-
I don’t think the president cares. If he loses, that just further feeds the chaos he seeks.

Thanks, Adee. -
I can’t find it now, but I read an article last week that said something like 80% of the OCare newly insured were covered by Medicaid and a ruling against it wouldn’t really affect that many people.

#38: I think the pufta Anderson Cooper would be absolutely terrified of SuperDave’s small backup dawg. What a miserable mistake of a male he, Anderson Cooper is. SuperDave’s is a great guy.

Conciliation with Liberal Modernity is Not Possible
Modern this-worldliness means those ultimate realities must nonetheless reduce to man and his desires and aspirations. The guiding principle of pragmatism is getting what we want, and it lets nothing transcend that. The effect is that what we want and what we can do—desire and technology—define what is most good and most real. Man thus becomes the highest of all principles, and stands in the place of God. The result is a full-fledged this-worldly religion of man in which we ourselves construct the order by which we orient ourselves. The religion isn’t called a religion, and it’s considered a matter of simple incontestable reason, but it functions as a religion and is best understood as one.

This might be of interest to Adee and a few others. Split screen compares American Pharoah to Secretariat on the track at Belmont.
