Men are fed up with women.

“My generation of boys is f**ked,” says Rupert, a young German video game enthusiast I’ve been getting to know over the past few months. “Marriage is dead. Divorce means you’re screwed for life. Women have given up on monogamy, which makes them uninteresting to us for any serious relationship or raising a family. …

“In school, boys are screwed over time and again. Schools are engineered for women. … men are slipping into distant second place.

/snip

“All that wouldn’t be so bad if we could at least dull the pain with girls. But we’re treated like paedophiles and potential rapists just for showing interest. My generation are the beautiful ones,” he sighs, referring to a 1960s experiment on mice that supposedly predicted a grim future for the human race.

Social commentators, journalists, academics, scientists and young men themselves have all spotted the trend: among men of about 15 to 30 years old, ever-increasing numbers are checking out of society altogether, giving up on women, sex and relationships and retreating into pornography, sexual fetishes, chemical addictions, video games and, in some cases, boorish lad culture, all of which insulate them from a hostile, debilitating social environment created, some argue, by the modern feminist movement.

You can hardly blame them. Cruelly derided as man-children and crybabies for objecting to absurdly unfair conditions in college, bars, clubs and beyond, men are damned if they do and damned if they don’t: ridiculed as basement-dwellers for avoiding aggressive, demanding women with unrealistic expectations, or called rapists and misogynists merely for expressing sexual interest.

And that sentiment is somewhat echoed by the Lena Dunham potential libel case. Personally, I hope this guy sues her but good.

In her just-released memoir, Not That Kind of Girl, Lena Dunham describes her alma mater, Oberlin College, as “a liberal arts haven in the cornfields of Ohio.” After a month-long investigation that included more than a dozen interviews, a trip to the Oberlin campus, and hours spent poring through the Oberlin College archives, her description of the campus remains the only detail Breitbart News was able to verify in Dunham’s story of being raped by a campus Republican named Barry.

But I want the guys on the Big Comfy Couch to know just how much I lubs ’em all!

    Union thug tactics explained.

He candidly admits that the reason such tactics are effective against fast food restaurants is because “their profit margin is so small that they’re kind of forced to make an economic decision… do you continue to lose your whole lunch rush for a month straight?”

Fells laughingly describes the arbitrary manner in which the $15 wage demand was decided upon: “I would say that it was a pretty scientific process: $10 was too low and $20 was too high, so we landed at $15.”

My computer gave me the “hard drive not found” error again this morning. Rebooting worked – again – but I don’t know how much life I have left in this machine.

Any ideas on replacements? Lovely has a new Surface Pro 3, which she loves (not crazy about the “tiles” thing on Win 8, but she’s adjusting).

I have to be able to run QuickBooks, so I have to have Windows.

Quickbooks works just fine on Windows 8. I would stay away form Surface though and go with either a desktop or a full bore laptop. Just my opinion.

If you have not already I would back up your peecee real quick while you search for a replacement. There are still Win7 boxes available out there,

Also it may be time to upgrade. Replacing that old hard drive may be problematic depending on the age of the box. OLD windows may not support the larger hard drives available today.

#4 – Squawkster is spot ON about backing up ALL your files NOW

Micro Center has an extensive selection to choose from – JMHO – I still avoid Win8 just as I did with Vista – still plenty of Win7professional choices out there

What my super duper PC tech advises is to only purchase any Dell product if you call Dell and have them build one to your specs – the consumer grade offerings by Dell are much less in terms of overall quality

I just recently bought a nice Win7Pro Toshiba laptop from Micro Center and it runs AOK

Interesting thread topic. Search the term “MGTOW” and there is a wealth of information out there.

I have Carbonite, so I am constantly backing up files. I learned my lesson the hard way, way back when our power supply to our house went batstuff crazy and fried everything plugged in. My computer repair nerd friend said he’d never seen that much carbon inside a box before. I signed up for Carbonite, and when L’il Toshiba bit the dust – literally, on the drywall dust generated by our house construction – I was up and running within a day when I bought Baby Dell.

I may go online and see what I can find for a Win 7 laptop.

Good morning Hamsters. Very foggy and 67 out here on the moors at 6 and some light rain overnight left 1/10″ in the gauge. Not enough however to test the repaired roof over the porch and garden room, so we wait a bit longer to put back the blinds we took down under one leak. Perhaps in a few days with the next front we’ll get a good test. Mugly until the clouds partly gave way and the breeze woke up, so there is hope for the day improving and drying some.

Found me a Toshiba Win 7 laptop on sale. It’s ordered – now I just have to make sure it doesn’t disappear. I was hoping that the order site would give me the option of making delivery instructions, like “I’ll pick it up!”

Once more the lead article demonstrates just how far out front of the curve I am when it comes to dealing with wimmens. On another topic, I’ve had pretty good success with some refurb units with up to date Win 7 to take care of routine business. Of course, the back-ups are a must, but the last one I bought cost less than just outright purchasing the Win 7 program by itself. BTW, just thought I would mention this – Win 8 sucks.

  17. Katfish Avatar

……..still a happy XP Pro user here! (and have other Win7 units as back up systems)

I heard on the news that NASA had successfully launched an object into Earth orbit and then recovered it in the Pacific Ocean. Have we progressed back to the 1960’s again?

Gee, the New Yawk Times is deep in its delusional self with this article. Whites fled to the Republican party because Obama is black (‘cept he’s more than half white, but why confuse them with details)? Never mind that he’s a radical Marxist wrapped in a malignant sociopath to boot who is trying to destroy our Republic.

They just can’t let go of their race fetish, can they? They’re still in denial over November 4, and this is the last shoe to fall with a big thud tomorrow. Mary’s compliance with Obama and his henchmen in passing Obamacare comes back with a vengeance to boot her out. Good riddance.
