ROFLMAO

That pic caused quite a stir on a Skynyrd page. About 2% were absolutely appalled and offended that someone would do such a thing. The other 98% were appalled and offended that it was Jim Beam instead of Jack Daniels.
-
Obama administration officials and other Democrats appeared to respond Sunday to increasing pressure for a full, public explanation from the Health and Human Services Department about the problem-plagued federal health care website.
Website problems are technical issues and can be fixed. Once that is done and people start actually signing up and seeing how much it’s going to cost them Pharaoh will be longing for these days.

There is so much wrong here that I marvel that we have not destroyed ourselves yet. Just reading this article may cause a permanent loss of intellect:
HEADLINE: Let’s play God: The scientific experiments that might save the world (or destroy it…)
/snip
Roughly every six years the IPCC lays out the latest climate science in layman’s terms, so policy-makers around the world can understand – and base policies on – accurate information about mankind’s effect on rising temperatures. The 2013 report consolidated the belief that we are the dominant cause of warming to 95 per cent certainty. It acknowledged that the rate of surface-temperature rise had slowed in the past 15 years – but suggested that heating continues unabated in the oceans, and made it clear that short-term variations do not reflect long-term trends. Sea levels are rising faster than previously projected. Ice is melting faster, too. It is “very likely” that extreme weather events will soon strike more regularly. And what we are doing now, the IPCC stated, is “irreversible on a multi-century to millennial timescale”.How do the gorebullwhoremongeringterdnozzles explain the warm period that happened at the end of the dark ages? The time when the Vikings colonized Iceland and actually grew crops? Iceland can no longer support agriculture as it is too cold, so it is cooler now than then, how do we have global warming and Iceland still can not support agriculture? How does the Arctic produce record levels of sea ice, both in volume and time of year, while we are having global warming? Why izzit that none of the “best models” take into account the variable output from the sun?
These idjits will believe anything that is repeated often enough, regardless what the facts actually dictate. -
moderation?

Must be one of those nasty Winstons you used to smoke.

With “that” face / expression it actually could be Ginger more than either Guppie or I……………

whooo hooo, #6 finally made it out of the spit bucket.

Good morning, hamsteroids. I woke up feeling pretty twisted myself.
-
FYI, Squawks had a high blood pressure episode over the weekend but seems ok now.
-
Squawk, glad to hear you’re better. We can’t have you blowing a gasket.
-
What are we on, like day 27 and the Squawkmeisterdude is still constipated?
-
Thanks for lettin everyone know for me MHarper. 🙂 Seriously Thanks. 😉
I damn near did blow a gasket. Back home now armed with more BP meds and a greater respect for paramedics. They saved my bacon. My BP shot up to “stroke” stage and climbing real fast on Saturday. The doctors got me stable and the lab tests commenced. In short
1. heart okay
2. lungs clear
3. blood work showed sugar ojay
4, ATTITUDE NORMAL…………….. it sucks (no change there) 🙂
Bottom line is NO ONE can tell me why. Got Doctors appointment(s) set up, have already began the recommended life style changes. Not to get all religious, I have come to learn one reason bad things happen is God does use those things to strengthen our faith in him. And I know my creator and he is able to carry me through everything.
As always prayers are welcome……. as I always pray for you guys. I sincerely appreciate all of y’alls prayers and concerns. My faith is such that I believe God ain’t done with me yet. -
We used a similar, albeit less dangerous, technique to catch wabbits in Florida. Chase them into a cypress tree and build a small fire in the hollow with spanish moss and wait for them to run out. Grab ’em and whack ’em upside the tree. One rabbit comin’ right up.

#15: One of the comments had it just right: how is it that you are not dead yet?

have already began the recommended life style changes.
I hope those changes include brisk walking for at least 20 minutes a day (preferably twice a day 20 minutes each), avoiding man-made foods like margerine/trans fats and white refined sugar, and increased consumption of green veggies.
-
Good morning Hamsters. We are to have another rainy/humid day before the next front comes in. Quite a rollercoaster ride with the weather lately, but those wonderful fronts are so welcome, so keep on coming. Was 60 at 6 and supposed to be around 79 today, and the humidity/mist has moved in around us. Thus far the rain has stayed south of us.
#16 Squawk
Wow. Please do not do an encore. 🙂 Glad you have returned to a much better status.
Now about that attitude thingy…. The Lord gives gentle nudges now and then that might not be recognized immediately, and many are blessings in disguise. -

Perhaps you are referring to Greenland? -
#22: Adee: I’m pretty sure it was Iceland. Clever Vikings they were, enticing the interlopers to the place where it was covered in ice and calling it green, and vice versa. Greenland may have also been able to support agriculture during the Midevil warm period. In the late 1700’s we had a mini ice age, and a summer that failed to materialize when Krakatoa blew its top.
The warmongers are simply attempting to gain control in the climate control hysteria. -
I thought Greenland got its name because it was, well, green.
-
One of the supposed criticisms of the Ted Cruz, Mike Lee, and House conservative wing of the GOP, is they aren’t all that interested in deal making or governing (as the term is understood in DC…increase government). I think it’s a fair point and one that speaks well of them.
The Republican wing of the GOP (Speaker John Boehner, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, Senator Susan Collins, and Senator Bob Corker, etc) is interested not in “small government” but “smaller government”. “Smaller” than what? The answer to that is the key. Most often it’s not “smaller than we have now” it’s “smaller than the Democrats want it to be in the future but bigger than now”.Like the man says, read the whole thing.

Archeological evidence proves that there was agriculture going on during the Viking habitation, and that it occurred before the Medevial Warm Period. -
Say Yall – since I see that early voting has begun for this off / OFF year election
Anyone have a listing of the various propositions IN ENGLISH / layperson’s lingo ? -
I just got a call from the car insurance company.
Handsome Son’s custom VW was rear ended on the freeway some weeks back. He’s been offered $10K on the spot for it several times. The insurance company is offering half that for the repairs.
I’m sending the agent to Hubby. He was there at the time (they were returning home from a VW car club meeting), and he’s better at this stuff than I am. I’m anticipating that they’ll take the money, buy back the salvage title, and get their car buddies to help fix it back up.
Oh, goodie – another car project! -
Greenland and/or Iceland is really not the point, the point is that is was much warmer during the Midieval warm period than it is now. The whole gorebullwarmongering garbage is just that and has nothing to do with climate control, it is all people control.
-

Iceland sits on top of an active volcano and has hot springs like Jellystone Park. Cold Nordic winters of course but definitely has thriving agriculture in the growing season. And of course fishing industry. Spouse’s brother and wife went to Iceland several years ago on summer vacation and sent back pictures of farms in the countryside, flowers galore, hot springs, volcanic outcrops, and bustling towns. It isn’t a large country.
Greenland belongs to Denmark. -
Actually, the fact that there was agriculture on Greenland before the medevial warm period is much better evidence. The MWP can be pointed out as an anomally (just as the Little Ice Age was), but the fact that there were people growing crops on Greenland before the MWP is proof that the planet was warm as a matter of course before then, and now there is ice covering it—so therefore there was a long period of cooling in between then and now, with the anamolous MWP occurring somewhere in the middle of that time.

#31: Your statement is getting at the point, the climate changes and man has nothing to do with it, it is doubtful that man could do much beyond possibly extending/intensifying a monsoon season via cloud seeding. The idea that man could cause the earth to warm by virtue of CO2 emissions is absurd.
-
Re the propositions, the only one I have formed an opinion on is NO on #6 the 2Bil water fund. Seems 2 years ago there a 6 Bil water deal, and nothing has yet been done with that fund. So use that up first and then tell me what else you want. By then we might have a better idea of how the first fund was used.

My yard has been mowed! I am in compliance! I will nap soundly this afternoon. Whew.

#34 – Salvadore & Marta came by eh? 🙂

%$#@&*%*()#@ – I just learned the closest venue for renewing my TDL is now Rosenberg (guess I should count my blessings – it could have been TOWARDS town)
-
#33 – #6 was the only one of the bunch I understood reasonably well – agree on the “NO!”
other than some new $$$BOND$$$ request for KATY ISD – which will also be a fervent “NO” from this desk………… -

Andrew. Charged $20. I asked David to give him $25 with a comment that the grass had been so tall, but David decided to pay him what he said he wanted for the job. -
$20 MIGHT get the ditches cleared in our neighborhood.
It’s like being near the gates at Ft. Sill. -
#36 Katfish,
Does your license renewal notice include doing so online? That is a snap. Spouse and I did it recently. Took about 2 weeks to receive the new license in the mail.
If not, the Rosenberg office is one of the two already existing DPS supercenters in the state for license renewal at which you can make an appointment for a time to suit you to transact business. No long lines. -
Obama: Pray for me.
Pastors: Sure. We can do that.
Obama: No no. I have to hear you pray for me. And make ’em last a whole year.Every year on Aug. 4, the president’s birthday, Obama convenes a group of pastors by phone to receive their prayers for him for the year to come.
-
#40 – MsAdee I’m on the IN PERSON requirement this time around as I employed the online option last time………………learned all the other news you’ve offered just this morning poking around the www – the “put me in line remotely” service might be a good deal (We’ll SEE)………………..the only FAQ not answered (and I called complete with 15-20 minute hold time) was my inquiry as to “how soon before expiration” is “too soon” as mine runs out in late Feb……………I can go anytime between now & then…………….
-
Whiskerfish: A couple of weeks ago I went into the Dacoma office (just outside the loop, north of 290) about 3pm and was in and out renewed in less than 20 minutes.
-
Anyone have any experience with headlight restoration?
I figure with this bunch of one percenters, none of you have a car old enough to need it. -

Two things:
1. I guess I’m doing it all wrong with the in the morning and at night every day thing. Guess I’ll never be da preezy.
2. August 4th is my son’s birthday. I bet he’s pizt. -
43 Bones
That’s shocking. I hate that one. And the one north of l-10 on the Beltway. -
3. You also need to command an audience of people praying for you, not pray yourself.

So I was reading about the latest malady affecting pusillanimous men. I guess it must be a symptom of the war on gender perpetrated by teh LBGTPQ-LSMFT. Came across this comment:
Very similar to those that want to be gay zombies. You begin by preferring to be a zombie rather than repenting to God, then add in some gayness and glitter and next thing you know you’re staying out all night at Ripcord watching men in leather shorts walk around while pieces of your zombie skin fall into your cape cod. Be careful. It’s a slippery slope. Repent.
-
#46: I was absolutely flabbergasted as well. I was expecting 90 mins + but that was simply not the case. I took the boss there to get his ID card, (he is legally blind and can not drive so no TDL) and it took about 45 mins total; this was several years ago. At that office they have a pre-screener who takes the primary info and puts you in line electronically and you sit in a chair to wait for your number. I went through so fast I never even sat down.

#s 43, 46, & 49 – Heck I’m not heading TOWARDS town if I do not have to!
It’s only 24 (via TX99) OR 26 miles (via FM1463) to the Rosenberg DPS office from here – and roughly half of those miles are a LOT more “rural” than anything heading east -

Its in the old K Mart that was on the corner of 59 and 36. FM723 continues as 36 when it gets to Alt 90. Could be shorter than bofum.
-
#52 – Sarge THNX! – I’m fully versed on that location already – BACA has staged numerous times at that Jack-in-the-Box for Child events…………….
The 99 or 1463 choice is merely which-way-to-get-to-Westhemier-aka-FM1093 to get to southbound 723………… -
You know, I done fragot where 1463 comes in. You’re doing fine, and could getcha a fine drive down 359 for part of that ways—the prettiest part, too.

$20 MIGHT get the ditches cleared in our neighborhood.
I had asked on our FG group and looked like $40 was typical for a trailerload of equipment and 3-4 workers. This is one man and one mower. He is the adult nephew of the nextdoor neighbors and I think he is mildly retarded. But it doesn’t take a rocket surgeon to mow grass. I don’t even know if there was an edging done. I’ll get an “impression” of the job tomorrow.
I have to venture out Tuesday morning to an appointment for my doc’s Iago to remove a battery-powered gadget that is still running with a tube into my incision. It was part of a “wound dressing system” that recovers and filters blood oozing from an incision. About 48 hrs after the surgery, the collection bag had salvaged 2 pints of my own blood. They hung it on my IV stand like a giant bag of ketchup and dripped it back into me. -
We had a power outage for about 90 mins here in Glorious Copperfield. Pyro and HS are prolly gonna hafta reset all the clocks as will I.

Just got back from the doctor and damned if i did not forget to ask him if I was healthy enough for sex.Even people with a potentially serious medical condition can usually enjoy a rich sex life, but just in case, consult your doctor. After most heart attacks, physicians generally recommend abstaining for a few months. But sex is no more strenuous than walking up a couple flights of stairs. If you can do that without developing chest pain or feeling exhausted, you can probably make love enjoyably and safely.

M42, you have been married for how long? Dontcha know that a man almost always is considering sex? We are hard wired that way.

So OHitlerabama spends 700 million on a website that doesn’t work and not a word from the Re-loser-cans eh.
Ole Cornholed hen John probably thinks that money was well spent because the OHitlercrats will own that website and by Gawd the Re-loser-cans will get em next time.

OK, quick Drive-By, as I’m not paying attention, but I think that I mentioned here that my grandniece, sister’s granddaughter had her home coming last Friday night and she was one of two Freshman attendants. The other girl was to be escorted by her 8 year old brother since her daddy was in Afghanistan. She was first and when they called her name they said that there had been a change and her daddy, just back from Afghanistan would be escorting her. The local TV station was there to film it so on Saturday I Googled everything I could think of and didn’t find a video but I found one tonight. At about the :27-:34 mark you can see my grandniece in the pink dress and later at the :50-1:00 you can see her and her dad on the left side of the field.
Ariton Homecoming.

I guess I’ll know that I’ve arrived at a significant milestone the day that happens.

Squawk, you’re in my prayers. Lost my dad in June and still can’t believe it. Can’t even watch the Red Sox in the World Series because the last 2 times they won it we watched every playoff game together and he was ecstatic; he should be here with me. I don’t see how this pain will ever go away.

Good morning Hamsters. Front’s come through, still overcast, no rain here, and the wind is picking up. A good weather day beckons. 🙂
