Well, in California it’s abortion for all, by all.

Nurse practitioners, certified nurse midwives and physician assistants could perform a type of early abortion under a bill approved Monday by the state Senate, leaving the measure one step from the governor.
The measure by Assemblywoman Toni Atkins, D-San Diego, would let those medical professionals perform what are known as aspiration abortions during the first trimester. The method involves inserting a tube and using suction to terminate a pregnancy.

That is, if by “terminate a pregnancy” you mean “ripping a developing baby apart limb from limb”.
I think that HotAir has just the right amount of snarkiness when discussing this topic:

Remember, of course, that this is all about women’s health.
/snip
While the legislature is at it, why not allow midwives to do liposuction, too? After all, a liposuction only removes fat, not a “clump of cells,” as some would have it, and that fat doesn’t get removed from an internal organ susceptible to perforation. Liposuction gets pricy for the working class, so it’s not really fair that only a doctor can suction fat out of a body. Yet in 2011, California was identified as one of the five toughest states for regulating outpatient cosmetic surgery centers

Lila Rose, quoted in the HotAir article, makes some good points, too:

In what other realm of business does this bizarre standard pass muster? Do you let a butcher build your house because you ‘deserve access to’ a carpenter? Do you let a nurse do your bypass surgery because you ‘deserve access to’ a cardiologist? Nowhere else does ‘we really need it, therefore let unqualified people do it’ make sense – and the mentality doesn’t make sense here, either. In fact, it’s downright dangerous.
In the wake of Kermit Gosnell, in whose abortion facility a woman died from an untrained staff member’s mistake, it’s unthinkable for lawmakers in California to push a law like this. How many more times will my home state carry water for this unregulated industry which makes its money off of the vulnerable moments of women and by murdering pre-born children?

If this doesn’t expose the “women’s health” argument for prolific abortion “services,” I don’t know what will.

Is it really the settled public policy of the American nation that we must choose between our love for Jesus Christ and His heavenly kingdom, on the one hand, and on the other, parades in all our major cities celebrating anal intercourse? Well, let me think about it. Can you give me some more time?
Those believers who have had an ordinary love of country, coupled with a naive (and very unbiblical) belief that America could never become an idolatrous adversary to the kingdom of God, are the kind of people who would be quick to acknowledge on paper that if we had to choose between God and country, we should always and everywhere choose God. But having ticked that box, they murmur to themselves that they are very glad that they could never be called upon to make that choice. Sorry, but here it is. Right on top of us.
Our nation is a nation just like all the others, and we can spiral into spiritual apostasy just like all the others. We are now more than halfway down the line of statues in the royal hall of Charn, where the look of our earlier nobility has vanished and we are just three elections away from the coldest forms of despair. Just think — all over the world, drone strikes making the world safe for sodomy.

It starts with a few unbearably cute collectibles. During the second year, you realize you have bought so many pieces that you can no longer display them all. You come up with a plan to store some and rotate the displays. By year 5, you are buying storage lockers to put boxes of your collection pieces in. By year 10, you plead with friends and family not to gift you any more collectibles. By year 12, the influx has stopped completely and you may be wondering if you should start selling some items on ebay, or just leave the whole mess to someone in your will.
That happened with us on Nightmare Before Christmas collectibles. And that was on top of my collecting penguins, owls, red depression glass, and Ty beanie critters. David’s collections include Wizard of Oz and Dr Who.

I collect Santa Clauses. I am firm in my rules:
    1) I, and only I, can select what goes into my collection.
    2) Only one Santa per year.
    3) That Santa must “speak” to me for me to buy it. It must, in some way, appeal to me in such a way that I simply MUST have it.
    4) It does not matter where the Santa comes from.
    In my collection, I have:
    – A tall, thin, rather severe looking wooden carved Santa
    – A dollar store Santa sitting on top of a small gift box, with his legs dangling over the front.
    – A couple of Old World Santas, one all in white, and one with earth tone clothing.
    – A couple of Jim Shore Santas. I have found that I like his work. One of them is in a sleigh being pulled by a polar bear. I almost bought a “chocolate Santa” last year – an unpainted wooden one – but someone bought it before I came back to the booth to get it.
    – A metal Santa.
    – A couple that I have found from Hobby Lobby, one of them twirling on an ice skate, holding a string of Christmas lights.
    – A cloth Santa. He’s like a small pillow.
    – And my favorite – Santa riding a goose. You can see the little trap door in his trousers. Lovely probably remembers the fit of giggles I got when I found him at the quilt show.
    – A snow skiing Santa. I got him at a neighbor’s Christmas party as a gift. I liked him enough to make him part of my collection, even though one of the ski poles has disappeared.
I have over twenty so far. By limiting myself to one a year, I make sure that each one “counts,” and I don’t get inundated from well-meaning friends and family. I think I’ve featured a picture of my collection here before…maybe not. I know that one year they were my “Pic of the Day,” as a kind of Advent countdown to those on my POD list.

American Digest has this posted from the comments on the linked article. Some good questions that should be answered.

Exactly what chemical was it? Who made it, or what is the guess of who made it? Who ran the tests. Were there tests? Why didn’t we hear about these simple issues? The video looked real, but Kerry started ranting about morality when the question would be answered by technical analysis, not morality. Obviously if it’s real, and Assad did it, the points are true. Did Assad do it? Did Iran? Did the rebels? How do we know?

I saw this list of headlines on the upper left of the Drudge Page:

Why pursue Snowden when Obama ‘is giving away plan of attack to anyone?’
‘Assad may not even need to change his dinner plans’…
DOES OBAMA KNOW HE’S FIGHTING ON AL QAEDA’S SIDE?
Strikes ‘likely to trigger terrorists acts against US, Israel’…
ISRAEL CALLS UP RESERVISTS AFTER THREATS…
REPORT: Calls intercepted by U.S. ‘prove’ Syrian Army used nerve gas…
INTELLIGENCE PASSED TO U.S. BY ISRAEL…
    Jordan: We won’t help…
MSM scrambles to differentiate Syria 2013 from Iraq 2003…

This is another mechanism to destroy the credibility and treasure of the USA. Only someone who is intent on the destruction of the USA would consistently make such stupid mistakes, unless they are not mistakes at all and are a part of the grand strategy.
Bumbling, absolute clueless stupidity or calculated to destroy the USA? Neither is an acceptable option and this man has to go if our country is to survive. Replacing him with Joe “the D!p$#!t” Biden is not acceptable either as he is likely even worse. Electing Hitlery as the first Lesbanian Prez is like throwing an anchor to a drowning person.

We really don’t know who set off the chemical device, nor do we know that it actually was set off at all, we don’t know what the chemical was, we have not confirmed independently (NOT UN) whether anyone was kilt or not (see #9 above) do we? All we have to go on is what our current leadership tells us and their track record for transparency, honesty and respect for The Constitution and rule of law is, shall we say, less than exemplary. As far as the photos of the dead people lined up goes, that could have easily been staged and WE KNOW the palestenian-terd-nozzles have been doing this for years so what proof do we actually have?
If we want to send a message, real strong and clear, how about increasing the military equipment aid and financial aid to Israel at the expense of aid to those countries dominated by the islamist/terrorists?
We need to stay the heck out of Syria.

Further the justification is going to be “If he didn’t do something it would have been a whole lot worse” which is really convenient as it requires no proof nor is proof even possible to validate the assertion. We saw Elysium at the Edwards Marq’E, private showing in one of the small stadium seating theatres. Absolutely no one else in Screen #17. The few other people we saw buying tickets to anything were also old folks. Not that we bought tickets. I had cashed in 4 or 5 years worth of CoH recycling points for those 2 tickets. I used to donate my points to animal rescue groups, but there haven’t been any left on the website to choose from for a long time. CoH is phasing out its recycling points system as it gets prepared to switch to one-bin recycling.
Regarding the scifi movie Elysium, I was OK with all but the final minute, where we were presented with the absurd notion that it would be possible for a smallish number of wealthy people living on a space habitat to just be generous and share with 30 trillion landlubbers on the planet below. possibly even the Druids

I am pretty sure those guys died with Stonehenge. Perhaps you are referring to the Druze? If I understand correctly, the Turks are Sunni, the Iranians are Shia, the Assad clan is Alawhite (a close branch to shia) and makes up about 15% of Syria with the rest Sunni/Wahabbi/Salafi as is the bulk of the rest of the mid-east. The Turks want to rebuild the Ottoman empire, the Iranians want to rebuild the Persian empire and they will cooperate to a small degree to destroy their mutual enemies but make no mistake, a big, huge, ginormous war is brewing between Shia and Sunni and their various offshoots to determine who will rule the hoped for caliphate.
I agree only to a point that we should not get involved. We must at all costs keep as close of a track on the chemical weapons so that they do not get used against Israel; our involvement should be limited the location and destruction of those and other nasty weapons.
I think that even the skeptics can agree that it is the mooslime bro’hood who comprise the bulk of the rebel force.
We do not know who released the chemical weapons
We do not know what chemical weapons were actually used, if any
We, in fact, do not know how many people were actually killed if any at all in these attacks
We do know that the muzzies have long used false propaganda to further their goals, and many of the so-called corpses in the sheets could very well be actors.
We do know that muzzie rulers have no qualms whatsoever about sacrificing their people as pawns to further their personal goals.

OK, This is pure GOLD. So daughter lives in Richmond and all her neighbors are just like her and her hubby, a bunch of good old rednecks that hang out and Bar-B-Q together. About three months ago a young liberal couple (Obama Bumper Sticker) bought a house from one of their friends. It was awhile before they met them and they all got together on the fourth and with all the fireworks and stuff, daughter said that she didn’t think that the newbie’s really liked the crew. I have to add that the female was to have a baby sometime in August. Fast forward to tonight, no one on the street has seen the couple since the fourth and the people that lived in the house before are missing some mail so one of the group needed to go over and ask if they had the mail. So guess who they sent? The biggest redneck of all. So he goes over and meets the grandma and finds out that they have new a baby girl so he says; “Well, yanno’ A really good bull always produces a heifer. “ Now to a normal southern man, redneck or Florida Cracker, that would have been a complement, it says that the husband is a MAN! But it basically went over like a piece of feces in the punch bowl! LMAO!! 😀

Sunshine will probably be in NICU for 7-10 days. Her liver enzymes and white count are up, indicating an infection, but they won’t know until Saturday morning if it’s viral or bacterial. AB said that the spinal tap looked good, so I’m assuming that means no meningitis. Even though she’s not running a fever, Sunshine is exhibiting “elevated levels of irritability,” meaning she’s crying and can’t be comforted. I hear the crying started at 2:00 a.m., so Lovely Daughter and Aggie Beau have had a long night and a long day. Lovely has been able to be with Sunshine and continue to nurse her, so that’s a comfort anyway.
