Before you offer the excuse “She’s Canadian and doesn’t know the words”, why in the world didn’t she have que cards or teleprompter? This is a complete disgrace to both the Canadians and Americans.
Jazz singer Alexis Normand slashed “The Star-Spangled Banner,”.
She made it through the first few lines of the national anthem, but botched the line, “twilight’s last gleaming” with “twilight’s first gleaming”, then she lapsed into a Hall of Fame meltdown, mixing various phrases at random, as well as mumbles and hums in an attempt to fill in the gaps.

Look out Taylor Swift and all you others, the stakes just got kicked up about three notches from the little East Texas logging town of Woodville.
Kree Harrison who reigns from the LoneStar state has been performing country music since she was three years old. Growing up in Woodville, TX she performed in churches, oprys, and rodeos throughout the Golden Triangle. During a routine show at the venue Broken Spoke Saloon, a friend recorded the seven-year-old’s set and sent it to the Rosie O’Donnell Show. Rosie later contacted Kree to perform on her “Most Talent Kids” episode, which at the time included pop artist Jo-Jo. She ended up appearing as a guest on the show four times.
As things started taking off in a new direction, the twelve-year-old dropped everything after hearing the news that her father had passed away in an airplane crash. The singer moved back to Woodville to be with her family and regroup. Years later, finding comfort in a guitar,
she decided to teach herself the chords. The new-found hobby led Kree to writing her own songs at the age of 14. She decided it was time to head back to Nashville and pursue her country music career.
She found herself playing in well known venues around town including 3rd & Lindsley and the Bluebird Cafe. As Kree began recording an album, with at the time producer Trey Bruce, she was once again in a devastating predicament – her mother had passed away in a car crash. Her priorities shifted as she traveled back and forth from Texas to Nashville, wanting to be in two places at once.
Kree Harrison “only” came in second on “American Idol”, but her career prospects are looking good. The country singer will make her Grand Ole Opry debut on June 4.
Kree shared the news with reporters on Friday (May 17), saying “Today’s my birthday, and that’s the best birthday present I’ve ever gotten in my life!”Kree Harrison “Help Me Make It Through The Night”

Sarah Hall Ingram, remember this name, she is or should be one of the primary targets for criminal prosecution concerning the illegal IRS targeting of conservative groups. Was she punished for her serial civil rights violations, abuse of office and official oppression? H3!! wissin no, she was promoted to be the head of the IRS division enforcing O-Care.
HEADLINE: Fmr IRS Tax-Exempt Chief in Charge During Tea Party Targeting Now Heads Health Care Office
I am drafting a letter to send to my 2 senators and several congress critters in my area expressing my outrage that she is not under criminal indictment and urging that action to take place.

Don’t forget, she got more than $100,000 in bonuses between 2009 and 2012.
-
This morning I was listening to Lance Roberts (filling in for Edddd Hendee) and he advised that in the last 3 or 4 years she received bonuses in excess of $25,000, each year, and those bonuses require presidential approval. She was following orders from the top and was handsomely rewarded for doing so. Can anyone with a shred of credibility now claim that the entire O-Care plan is nothing more than a hammer with which to bludgeon the enemies of the D-NAZIS?

Good morning, Hamsterville. All play and no work makes mh42 a dull girl. Already.
-
Good morning Hamsters. Muggly 75, overcast, and breezy at 6. Now a more hearty steady breeze from Gulf rules and feeds the wild weather ravaging the Midwest for another day or two. Severe weather can possibly get as far as northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin today. A late Spring brings wild weather just as does an ordinary Spring. Many people and places to pray for.

Ooops! Forgot the Texas history trivia.
On this day in 1882, Henry Clay Lukens wrote “Texas Siftings,”
“In the early days of the Republic of Texas, and even after annexation, many of the white men who came to Western Texas from all parts of the United States had strong sanitary reasons for preferring a change of climate. To be more explicit, the most of the invalids had been threatened with throat disease. So sudden and dangerous is this disease that the slightest delay in moving to a new and milder climate is apt to be fatal, the sufferer dying of dislocation of the spinal vertebra at the end of a few minutes and a rope. A great many men, as soon as they heard of Western Texas, left their homes in Arkansas, Indiana, and other States — left immediately, between two days — the necessity for their departure being so urgent that they were obliged to borrow the horses they rode to Texas on.
All of these invalids recovered on reaching Austin. In fact, they began to feel better, and considered themselves out of danger as soon as they crossed the Brazos river. Some
of those who would not have lived twenty-four hours longer if they had not left their old homes reached a green old age in Western Texas, and, by carefully avoiding the causes that led to their former troubles, were never again in any danger of the bronchial affection already referred to. As soon as it was discovered that the climate of Western Texas was favorably disposed towards invalids, a large number of that class of unfortunates came to Austin. Many well authenticated cases of recoveries are recorded. Men have been known to come to Austin far gone in consumption, and so far recover as to be able to run for office within a year.” -
O/C Movie: When I was “studying” chemistry in 1977-78, the atom was not yet visible. My teacher, Pauli Koslosky, mentioned that because we can not actually see the atom, because they are so small, it technically is still a theory that they exist. Now we can not only see them but manipulate them individually in a host of manners in which we choose and photograph the evidence of said manipulation.
As a side note, Mrs. K, as she was known, was a twin and completely ambidexterous. It was she who taught me the concept of phase change and the energy transfer that takes place therin. -
#12 OTL: That is an amusing story, and true from what I recall reading in other sources.

Seen on SpaceBook:
There’s no getting around the fact that the last time anyone saw the likes of Barbara Boxer, Dianne Feinstein, Maxine Waters, and Nancy Pelosi, they were stirring a cauldron when the curtain went up on ‘Macbeth’.
-
When you get right down to it, that video proves nothing. It could easily be animation, for all I know.
I’m not saying I don’t think the structure of the universe is atoms and quarks and strings, of course it is, of course I do. But “A Boy and His Atom” doesn’t prove it to me. -

Just a touch cynical there, M42? Nah!

#18: Unfortunately she looked nothing like that. Fortunately she looked nothing like that, therefore I was actually able to learn a thing or two.
-
Worth repeating…
Over the weekend Oletimerlin (#53) had Joe Scarborough and Piers Morgan recanting their attacks on Second Amendment defenders. All because of the recent scandals. -
#20 Shannon: How many others in the LSM are waking up to just how dangerous a hard left admin can be when they are not restrained by a basic respect for the Constitution? Not only does this admin not hold the Constitution in respect, they in fact, hold it in contempt and have so stated.
-
My back is bothering me today. Not too bad – I’ve already had some time on the inversion table and put the blue gel stuff on.

Why izzit that we still do not know the immigration status of this 2-time non-citizen drunk driver?
Records also show Munos accepted a plea bargain agreement for two charges stemming from a June 2012 arrest. He served 30 days in county jail after pleading guilty to driving while under the influence and unlawfully carrying a weapon.
This is the last paragraph in the Comical online story. He was already incarcerated and yet we still do not know if he is legally here or not?!? Does anyone else detect the foul stench of political pandering and obfuscation?

The hits keep coming.
DOJ Inspector General confirms that former USA Dennis Burke intentionally leaked an internal document with the express purpose of smearing Fast & Furious whistleblower John Dodson. In addition to Burke’s involvement in leaking the document, emails the IG uncovered show senior officials at the Department of Justice discussed smearing Dodson.

Blue Bell Southern Blackberry Cobbler is killerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

#26: FoxNews Radio has just announced that the terd who killed the cop was here illegally.
Why was he not deported when he finished his 30 day jail stint for DUI and firearm possession? Can we not assume that any illegal alien busted for DUI is not here simply to do “the jobs that Americans just won’t do?” -
Free Speech is always under assault when mooslimes violently objects to it.

I’ll try that one soon. I’ve fallen behind in the only task that is officially in my bucket list: to try all the Blue Bell flavors. Problem is we don’t eat much ice cream any more. Guess I should stop buying the half gallon size. -
Pint size is nice.
Holds a single serving.
Hee hee. -
IRS targeting of conservative groups
OSHA targeting of conservative run companies
EPA ditto above
Fast and Furious 1,2, and 3
Benghazi debacle lead up
Benghazi cover up
Bugging of AP and FoxNews
Failure to prosecute the NBP for voter intimidation in Philly
Rampant failure to secure the border
Punishing border patrols for securing the border
Any one of the above would be grounds for impeachment and removal and the press would be screaming for it if an R occupied the whitehouse.
How about the weekly celebrity shindigs at the White house on our dime, the $100 MILLION vacation Moochelle took to Spain? The entertainment for this admin tops $100 million per wissin year and the LSM is quiet about it; yet this is the same admin that chastised corporate jet travel by their executives?!?
We are in a bizzarro world indeed. -
#28 – DANG——— they (BlueBell) did not offer that flavor at Maifest in Brenham or I’d have tried it!!
-
Here’s how they did it.
Obama does not direct anyone in the IRS chain of command to do anything, there would be a paper trail on that.
But tell the head of the Union to tell its members to do it and there is no paper trail. -
Blue Bell Red Velvet Cake—yum cubed
Blue Bell Italian Cream Cake–great if you like shredded coconut in the mix, which we don’t, so it rates good but not yum cubed in this household.
Blue Bell Happy Tracks–yum cubed -

Any one of the above would be grounds for impeachment
Ain’t gonna happen. Even Rush has conceded that the country nor the “R”s have the tensile strength in their spherical objects to impeach the first negro president of Amerika.
/in my best Levin voice: Yessss I said it.
LOL Limbaugh said that we should focus on the mid terms and teaching what liberalism is. R_U_KIDDING ME!!!!!!
Muh boy Obama has committed high crimes and misdemeanors against this nation and we the folks should just say…. oh well? Wait till next year?
That my friend is what this country has come to now even in the top office of the United States we should not demand enforcement of the law. No wonder HolderCo just selectively enforces laws. “WE” have been teaching and illuminating what liberalism is hard and heavy for 30 years. “WE” have been arguing about the quality of the “R” candidates for 30 years. The choir knows every note and verse of “Conservatives Lament” but we should just “stay focused” don’t be distracted.
The screws on this ship are broken and there will be no turning around. I do not think “R” control of the house and senate would accomplish much anyway. I have a really bad feeling that despite all these scandals the “D”s just might strengthen the senate position and take back the house. Think it cannot happen? NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE really thought Obama would get re-elected. But here we are. Besides the “R”s will nominate people that stand a chance of getting elected. You do know what that translates to don’t you? More left of center “R”s.
Here is a little prediction for you……. riots in the streets within the next 18 months. -
Hope your family is safe and sound, Wagonburner. This looks like a real bad one.
-
I’ve never even seen the Italian Cream Cake flavor on the shelf.
Happy Tracks is great, but I have to limit my chocolate intake due to my AFib. -
#38 Sarge: Kinda like he blew a dog whistle, eh?

#40 Squawk: You will note that I did not say it would happen, only that they among others are impeachable offenses.

A lot of digging went into this report on a lower level State Dept employee who was put on leave. I had not previously heard that anyone was so much as suspended. And it doesn’t sound like this man is anything other than a sacrificial lamb offered up for Hillary.

#40 Squawk: You will note that I did not say it would happen,
Duly noted, annotated and considered. 🙂

“Bout Blue Bell, after the kids left home I still bought the 1/2 gallon size, but only one flavor at a time, when the kids were here I’d have at least two and I always had to juggle the flavors because everyone wanted something different. The boy liked Cookie Dough (nasty), daughter liked Strawberry (OK) and that GAWD awful Mint Chocolate Chip flavor, ( her mom liked that one also), everyone liked the Cookies N Cream, P-can Pralines and Rocky Road(me included) . My favorite, Vanilla Bean, of course, that way I could add fruit, chocolate syrup and/or nuts,…..I could even make a Nannar Split, I used to get lucky with that one. 😀
Anywho, now I get several pints in different flavors and since my 100 Lb bride eats a lot more than me, most are the ones she likes.
One more thing,….about the Mint Chocolate flavor, why would anyone want chocolate ice cream that tasted like it had kerosene in it?!?! never figured that one out. -
Blue Bell Red Velvet Cake—yum cubed
Blue Bell Italian Cream Cake–great if you like shredded coconut in the mix, which we don’t, so it rates good but not yum cubed in this household. Not tried those but I love red velvet cake and ANYTHING with shredded coconut in it has to be good! 😀

Tornado went through Moore, OK (S. of OKC / N of Norman). In looks like it was an EF4.
My brother lives in Norman. Grizzled Geezer lives in Duncan (~75 mi SW of Norman).
Believe it or not, a much stronger one hit Moore in 1999. That one was a strong F5 with max winds in excess of 296mph. For comparison, a Cat 5 hurricane has winds of ~157 or more. It tore an inch of asphalt off a road and completely removed two houses from their foundations. The damage path was a mile wide. -
#52 wagonburner, our prayers go out to all the folks in Oklahoma, yours included. 51 dead last I heard,…1 mile wide, Dang! 🙁
-
Pyro, glad to hear your relatives were not in the direct path. I saw some tv coverage from helicopters — roads were impassable with traffic jams — and it looked like severe, even total devastation.
-
Just talked to Grizzled Geezer. Apparently the tornado passed a little over half a mile south of the nursing home where one of my aunts lives.
Tornadoes are strange. The wind speed drops off very quickly when you go outward past its edge. In a couple hundred feet, the wind speeds can differ by well over 150mph. Houses across the street from utter devastation might have a couple small limbs blown from a tree. -
This link on drudge has some good pix of the children being pulled out of the wreckage of one of the schools.

This shows what I was talking about.

The Blue Bell Italian Cream Cake flavor just appeared last week in the stores and on TV ads. -
Prayers for those injured in the OK tornadoes yesterday and today and for those who lost loved ones. And for the survivors as they work to put their lives back together. Happy for Wagonburner that his extended family is ok.
Moore looks like Joplin, MO two years ago, or what was left of it. Noticed a lonely water tower standing amongst the ruination in one neighborhood. Reminds me of the utter destruction of Barneveld, WI (a farming community of about 400) a few miles from Madison in the early 80s by a tornado striking in the middle of the night.
The only structure left standing was the water tower. Fortunately there nobody was killed. -

Yup, what he said.

Good night, Hamsterville.
