I awoke from a terrifying nightmare.
I was in some kind of torture device preventing my escape from having to decipher the writings of Sarge and Darren, which were also being piped in over loudspeakers. π
Cold sweat, man, cold sweat. -

Over loudspeakers? Who was translating? π
They just don’t understand – What difference does it make!! -

In 1929, it was legal to own a Thompson submachine gun in the US.
In Chicago, in January 1929 at the height of the Capone era, there were 26 murders. Last month there were 42 and guns are supposedly tightly restricted. -
Morning, Hamsterville. It does make a difference.

Dang.
I shoulda been a ophthalmologist.a Florida circuit court judge in 2002 determined that Melgen paid $700.000 for a long-term βintimate romantic relationship.β

in virtually every mass shooting in America, they have taken place in “gun free” zones. Criminals do not pay attention to
stupidlaws, that is why they are criminals. Laws are only kept by the law abiding. A law restricting firearms in a particular area makes a target rich environment for those who would break a plethora of laws already on the books. Further restricting the law abiding only enables the criminal.
Idiots like Piers Morgan and other LTNs of his ilk need to at least attempt to understand basic logic and human nature. -

Right now this law/ruling/practice by the current admin only allows them to kill US citizens abroad without judicial process; the only burden is a declaration that they are senior level Al Quaeda or similar organization and an imminent threat to the US. Imminent has been watered down to whatever they want it to be and no proof is required for senior level membership. Read the article here, there is a link to the actual DOJ ruling on the matter in the article.
How long will it be before they expand the ruling to include US citizens within the boundaries of the USA? -

What is it about that religion that it seems so much of their “faith” centers around sex? I guess it goes back to the originator of the cult. I hear he was quite the horndog, sleeping with eleven women in one night and not even breaking a sweat.
And this guy doubted his five year old daughter’s VIRGINITY?! She was five, for goodness’ sake! What five year old is thinking about sex???
I guess she wasn’t thinking about it – he was.

Weβre going to need more revenueβ¦Surely it will require some sort of middle class taxes as well.. We wonβt be able to pay for the kind of government the society will want without some increase in taxesβ¦ on the middle class, maybe a value added taxβ¦And weβre also going to have to make decisions about health care, doc pay for health care that has no demonstrated medical benefits . So the snarky versionβ¦which I shouldnβt even say because it will get me in trouble is death panels and sales taxes is how we do this. [emphasis mine]

The Washington Post is wringing its collective hands over Michelle’s ample, wide a$$ being discussed.
βWe have a history in this country of white people not showing adequate respect for and devaluing the bodies of black women, and this most definitely falls in line with that,β says Ayana Byrd

Good morning Hamsters. Foggy early, then misty after daylight appeared, mugly 59 slowly rising into the 60s, plenty of moisture but nothing registers in the rain gauge other than droplets. A dreary February day unfolds. But there’s plenty of attention-getting stuff on the web, the blogs, and even in the daily rag.
How about Ted Nugent telling off ole Piers yesterday, and on his own show to boot? Refreshing, no? Dan Patrick and Greg Abbott of course also more than held their own, but Ted wins for gusto. π -
Two songs from the 60’s are emblematic of what Steve Van Zandt calls “Pre-Art Rock and Roll”, otherwise known as “Garage Band Music”. One is Gloria by Them, fronted by Van Morrison. The other is Wild Thing fronted by the lesser known Reg Presley.
RIP Reg Presely.
RIP Garage Band Music. -
#20 Pyro: In their desperate attempt to defend Moochelle “wide load” Obama the WaPostians actually wrote this:
Michelle Obama β who is 5-foot-11 and praised for her fashion sense, her bangs and her toned biceps β regularly emerges in polls as one of the most popular public figures in the country.
The originator of that butt-ugly boob belt and one who wears green shoes with an orange outfit getting praise for her fashion sense?? Maybe its true, only in the sense that this is what one should not do. Joan Rivers commented on her new do “that new do is definitely a don’t.”

Izzit possible that the Dept of INjustice is actually suing to intimidate against downgrading our bond rating?
HEADLINE: US sues S&P over pre-crisis mortgage ratings
WASHINGTON (AP) β The U.S. government accused Standard & Poor’s of inflating ratings on mortgage investments to boost its bottom line, taking aim at a key player in the run-up to the financial crisis.
In charges filed late Monday in Los Angeles federal court, the Justice Department said S&P gave high marks to mortgage-backed securities that later went sour, even though it knew they were risky. The government said S&P misrepresented the risks because it wanted more business from the banks. This seems to me to be a transparent attempt to pressure S&P into not degrading the US debt. This action will likely also have a similar effect on the other rating agencies. Seems to me to be the actions of a desperate regime; strong-arm tactics at their worst.

#33 Shannon: from your link:
Brim, 54, was diagnosed years ago with a bipolar type of schizoaffective disorder, which means she experiences delusions and hallucinations, psychiatrist Mathew Markos testified. The symptoms can be kept in check with medication, he testified.
/snip
Prosecutors argued that Brim was “criminally responsible” for her actions last spring as she had chosen once again to stop taking her medications. Her attorney said a psychiatrist had advised her to only take the drugs when she needed to.ANY psychiatrist who would give that recommendation to any patient with that disorder needs to have his ticket jerked. One of the halmarks of that disease is thinking that you no longer need the meds, usually right before a manic or psychotic episode; this is psychiatry 101. To suggest that a licensed headshrinker gave that advice is absurd and the defense should be cited for perjury.

The can’t-fire syndrome only seems to be a problem in black precincts. No matter how debased and corrupted some of your black politicians are, the constituents will vote ’em back in every time. I’m sure part of it is patronage (aka freebies), but I think racial “pride” is a bigger factor. When you can’t admit your guy is a stinker, the stink is stuck on you. -
#40 He’s going full-on Dan Rather now. How does what he’s talking about relate to the story about the post turtle?
-
You’re not being cereal!!!
We have lots of problems in this country and all you crazy crackers can do is say that The Obama and Algor are commies!! What are you going to do to fix them? Wait to get your talking points from Faux News? -
How does what heβs talking about relate to the story about the post turtle?
It has nothing to do with the story, it is all about themanbearpigcrazedsexpoodlehyppocritlyingsackofcrap’s career.

Since Tipper gave him the heave-ho, does she get any of the hundred mil?

You can’t fire a government employee? You can’t fire anyone in a private company, and it’s not government rules as much as it is mamby pamby HR departments.
/so glad to be out of the corporate world -
I mean like, look at WB and SD, they still have jobs. Can’t get rid of ’em.

I mean like, look at WB and SD, they still have jobs. Canβt get rid of βem.
Well yes BUTT I’ve been before the evil HR dept twice in the last few years, the first time was when two of my guys got into a phock calling contest in FRONT OF A CUSTOMER!! (we’re contractors doncha’ know) and somehow it was my fault since I was the boss. It took three trips to sort that one out and WHAT a waste of time! Then a few weeks ago I got called on the carpet because I called the IT folks clowns. But you know, I shouldn’t have to call them EVERY time I have to take a class on line! There is always something wrong with the on line class and when I call they’ll say “oh did it stop at slide three? or you can’t print your certificate and get credit for your class until we reset it……We’re trying to fix it!!!” Of course it’s been broke for 6 months!
What makes me soo mad is that they could get almost any kid out of the 6 th grade and he/she could fix it! -

I just got my widdle TV working. It’s a small, refurbished TV that I’m keeping upstairs in the office. That way, I won’t miss my favorite shows when I’m working at night. When I try to work from downstairs I always end up doing other stuff and getting distracted, so I don’t get my work done. And it has battery, so during storms I can keep an eye on the weather.
I had a few Amazon gift cards laying around doin’ nothing, so I put them to work and added about ten bucks outta my pocket. It’s a 7 inch screen of work flexibility.
Doing a little happy dance. Going back upstairs now, to get back to work. -

Oh the things that run around in my brain.
So I was sitting here thinking just what is Obama shooting at? I mean that shotgun is firing parallel to the ground. I know there are competitions involving rolling targets. Nah he ain’t that good either.
IT’S BOHNER. HE HAS BOHNER HOLDING A TARGET LIKE THIS GUY IN THE PICTURE. -
65 SD – Nearbout close nuff using the Paul Bunyan axe handle. Might be tad wider though.
-
Uh oh, mentioning HR brings out LOTS of CAPITAL letters. π
-
At least all that ranting scared off the crickets. π
Regarding the wide load, I am surprised the Obamas allow any photos of Mo to be taken when she is trudging upstairs. That is the most unflattering angle for her body type. -
Mharper posted something on Facebook that I like:
“My guns won’t be illegal. They’ll just be undocumented.” -
