Thursday Ghosts of Wars Past Open Comments

Dutch historical expert Jo Teeuwisse found some old photographs in a local flea market. When she printed copies, she found that they were street scenes that looked familiar, but from a different time.
Armed with those prints, she sought out the original locations and photographed them from the same vantage points. She then superimposed the old photos onto the new, providing us with a memorial of sorts into the events of WWII in those locations, but with ghostly images of the soldiers instead of their more corporeal selves.
