Worked very late last night.
Had to wrap wrist again this morning.
I’m opening the door, come on in.
Topic for discussion – can young children be labeled psychopaths?
Scary. Darn scary.

Kids have to be labeled something – autistic, bully, learning disabled, psycopath, whatever in order to justify their poor performance in basic school subjects. Couldn’t be the fault of the teachers or the administration or the idiotic policies they put in place – must be something wrong with the kids. Plus, they get extra money for extra programs to care for these degenerates and probably get referral fees to send them out for professional counseling. What a racket, but just one more of many.

While I agree with your point, if you read this article, you’ll see that these kids are in a class all by themselves. The article shows actual brain differences in these kids, not just the cold, calculating, manipulative behaviors.

In the very early 1970s Davis met a young Barack Obama, whose mother had sent the boy to live with his grandparents in Hawaii. Obama’s grandfather, Stanley Armour Dunham, arranged for Davis to become the boy’s mentor and advisor. From approximately 1971-79, Davis had considerable influence on the young Obama, particularly during the last four of those years. (Notably, Davis once sat on a union-publicity committee with Chicago Sun-Times reporter Vernon Jarrett, father-in-law of Valerie Jarrett, the latter of whom would later become a close confidante and advisor to President Barack Obama).

Several articles on that on Brietbart. The researcher has gone back through all of her research and now states that nowhere does anything say she had any Indian blood at all. She had “heard” about a newsletter, but had never seen it. She goes to great length to apologize for her sloppy research.

Obama Attacks Private Equity, Raises Funds from Private Equity Leaders
10:42 AM, May 14, 2012 • By DANIEL HALPERPresident Obama is attending a fundraiser today in New York City that will be hosted by Hamilton E. James, the chief operating officer and president of Blackstone. The financial firm Blackstone is “one of the world’s largest private equity fund businesses,” according to its website.
But ironically, Obama today is using Mitt Romney’s background in private equity as the basis of an attack on his Republican rival.
“In a career of buying and selling companies, Romney’s pattern was to reap quick profits for himself and his investors at the expense of workers and communities,” the Obama campaign says of Romney’s record in a campaign ad out today. “Sometimes it meant sending American jobs overseas. Other times, it meant cutting wages and benefits. In Romney’s economic philosophy, CEOs and wealthy investors prosper by any means necessary, even when it meant companies failed and workers were left behind. Romney believes in two sets of rules – one for people like him, another for everyone else.”
As Politico describes the new line of attack, “The Obama campaign is launching a multi-pronged, multimedia attack on Mitt Romney’s record as a private equity buyout specialist.”
Yet considering President Obama’s New York City fundraiser with private equity money men, it seems more than a bit ironic that Romney is today being targeted with this line of attack.
Oh, and the example theyt’re using in the ad? See word for the day, above.
Dems Attack Romney Over Layoffs Made by Obama Bundler
Realizing that Obama’s reelection is in serious jeopardy, the President’s campaign today released a two-minute ad slamming Mitt Romney for layoffs made at a company controlled by Bain Capital. The ad is built around interviews with former steelworkers at GST Steel, a mill in Kansas City, who were laid off as the company collapsed in the wake of a downturn in the steel market. The ad is certainly gripping and emotional. It is also, however, completely wrong.
The company was shut down in 2001. Romney left Bain in 1999, long before the plant closing, to run Winter Olympics. Two years is an eternity in the business world. Blaming Romney for decisions made two years after the left the company is at best disingenuous.
However, there was a political power-player serving as a director of Bain at the time of the company’s bankruptcy and layoffs–Jonathan Lavine. Lavine joined Bain in 1993. He is currently Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer. He is also a major bundler for Barack Obama, raising between $100-200k for the his reelection. While we don’t know the specific role Lavine had in decisions regarding the bankrupt company, he certainly had more influence than someone who had left Bain two years before.
Perhaps Obama should use some of Lavine’s donations to help the steelworkers featured in his ad.

Oh yes, the ELCA has been blissfully chasing the Episcopalians down the putred, muddy slope to irrelevancy for at least ten years. Minnesota, arguably the heart of Lutheranism in the U.S., is always on the Progressive leading edge.
Though not as high profile and nasty as the Anglican schism, the Lutherans are in full realignment mode with orthodox parishes leaving the ELCA to join or create new umbrella institutions of conservative Lutherans. -

Brooks continues his bromance with Barry:
Normally, presidents look weak during periods of economic stagnation, overwhelmed by events. But Obama has displayed a kind of ESPN masculinity: postfeminist in his values, but also thoroughly traditional in style — hypercompetitive, restrained, not given to self-doubt, rarely self-indulgent. Administrations are undone by scandal and moments when they look pathetic, but this administration, guarded in all things, has rarely had those moments.
…
He has defined a version of manliness that is postboomer in policy but preboomer in manners and reticence. -

Must be a right wing poll.
Oh, wait, it’s from CBS/New York Times.Well, then it must be from a selected group.
Oh, wait, it’s from all women.Poll: Romney Winning the Women’s Vote
by Mike Flynn 12 hours ago
I expect the media to be in a surly mood tonight. After months of manufactured “GOP War on Women” silliness, a new CBS/NYT poll finds Romney leading Obama 46-44% among woman voters. Mind you, that isn’t GOP woman or even independent women, but ALL women voters.More importantly, today’s poll finds a notable shift among women in just the last month. In April, Obama was leading Romney by 6% among women. No other group saw an 8 point shift in their support.
Turns out women’s top concern is the same as men’s: The Economy. All the contrived outrage about contraceptives and women’s health can’t mask the fact that 73% of voters listed either the economy or the federal deficit as their number on issue.
Looks like its going to be a long, hot summer for Team Obama.

And how is Roseanna Barr doing in her Green Party candidacy effort?
Her battle for the Green Party’s presidential nomination is hitting a serious snag.
As of last week, Jill Stein, a physician who has previously run for governor of Massachusetts, has 75 percent of delegates thus far in the run-up to the Green Party convention in Baltimore in July.
After the Maine meeting of the Greens, Stein had a total of 96.5 delegates and Barr had 18.5 delegates.
And in another blow to Roseanne’s campaign, she unsuccessfully tried to recruit Willie Nelson as her running mate over the weekend.

I see where the John Travolta thing just won’t seem go away.
Everyone Knows John Travolta Is Gay, Says Carrie Fisher
In comments unusually candid for a celebrity discussing another star, Carrie Fisher dropped a bombshell in a new interview, saying that everyone knows John Travolta is gay.
Travolta has been followed by gay rumors and reports since the late 1980s. He has always denied them and has enlisted his legal team to help squelch them.
But Fisher, speaking to the Advocate, showed no fear in addressing the topic.
The interviewer asked: “I know you and Travolta go way back, so let’s get really blunt here: Does his (Travolta’s) legal team have any business demanding Gawker remove a recent post suggesting that he’s given (bleep) jobs?”
Fisher answered: “Wow! I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.”
The Advocate also notes that in 2009 Fisher gave this statement for a piece about 10 Things gay men should know about women: “We don’t really care that John Travolta is gay.”
The actor has raised eyebrows with his behavior, including kissing male staff members on the lips. But beyond that there have been consistent and numerous allegations by men who say the actor either pursued them sexually or indulged in gay sexual acts.
A new book has drawn heavy fire from Travolta’s legal team as the author alleges to have direct knowledge of Travolta leading a secret gay life.
John has a song he made up that he sings to the staff:
“These lips were made for kissing, and that’s just what they’ll do. One of these days these lips will kiss all over you.”

A vulva carving associated with other, unidentifiable carvings.
They just happened to identified the carving into that……. associated w/ other unidentifiable carvings>. This guy must be the same person that extrapolated the Cromagnum man from a single hip bone or whatever it was.
Unidentifiable Animal …… Researchers aren’t sure what animal an ancient artist was trying to draw – it could be a bison, or perhaps a horse.
Or perhaps they were playing hangman.

El Gordo,
Sir! I believe you are wrong. I would agree that just about any government program is subject to abuses. There is no 60-Minutes News flash there!
Ms Simple and I are raising our grandaughter. Our angel has been diagnosed with Asberger’s Syndrome, which is on the autistic spectrum. She is smart, but sees the world in a much different manner than the norm, which renders traditional teaching techniques less than effective. Ms Simple and I spend 2-3 hours each night doing homework with her after we have spent 1-2 hours a day in afterschool Vision and Physical Therapy.
At least half of the weekend is spent getting an early start on the homework, which is pretty tough for 1st graders with no learning disabilities. The curriculum has been ratcheted up in Texas in the last year. Yet, Angel is in a class with main stream students and making A’s and B’s, but it is a FIGHT every day just to tread water.
She also gets special classes each day. You see besides having her brain wiring a little fouled, Angel is legally blind.
I was a pretty tough Marine in my youth, but that little girl is one heck of a lot tougher than me and I suspect a lot tougher than some of the other whiners in this world.
I would give anything and spend any expense to change this, but it is what it is. I am also sympathetic to the parents of autistic childern who are on the other end of the spectrum. Take just a few minutes out of your day to think about what those parents are facing. You expect your children to grow up one day and lead independent lives. What if you had a child who would never be fully independent and would depend upon the care and love of others for everything? What happens to that child when life takes its course and someday that child is alone? This fear is part of our everyday life!

Actually it started a lot earlier, and you see it in many of the lower species. It’s especially pronounced in the pigeon family — pecking order, ya know. -

I’m not denying the fact that there are children out there who suffer any number of medical issues and disabilities. My contention however is that the majority, if not all of them, do not fall into that category as many would have you believe. There are any number of stories of heroes and heroines out there who love and care for the children with legitimate special needs, and I applaud them all.

“God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning-the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. n nBy the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. President Obama saw this and said “I was totally going to do it in 5 days and get in two days of golf, but whatever.”

via DRUDGE: Google shuts down a conservative blog with no explanation to the blog owner. Perhaps the reason is this:
In June 2008, KSM was brought before a tribunal at Guantanamo Bay. He announced at that time that he wished to enter a guilty plea so he could be “martyred.” He expressed the same desire again in December 2008. In a criminal proceeding, the accused always has the option of entering a plea of “not guilty” and demanding a trial or entering a guilty plea and accepting his sentence. So, as is apparent, when one pleads guilty and admits his crime, there is no need for a trial. Instead of years of pointless proceedings to try issues not in dispute, the Court should simply say:
“The Court hereby deems your previously entered plea of guilty as accepted and shall now impose sentence. The sentence of the Court is that you be taken hence to the place of execution and that you there be hanged by the neck until dead. May God have mercy on your soul. Next case.”Simple, solid, conservative, impeccably logical thought simply can not be allowed out in the wild of the innanet.

Good afternoon Hamsters. Cool, overcast, and breezy with occasional mist and light rain. Started at 67 at 5:30 and made it to 70 at 2. Now if nothing heavier than that arrives, the day will be good.
The story of the ever-eroding drainage ditch in River Forest subdivision north of Richmond that’s made the TV news is about a mile west of us. Truly alarming for the residents near it. Newspaper and TV reports approximated the rainfall on Friday night-Saturday morning as about 10″, but surely they got as much as we did, 11.4″. Perhaps nobody over there had a digital rain gauge, and the weather service estimate scale didn’t go much above 8″. The county folks are working very hard to keep things from getting worse.
A natural gas transmission line crossed beneath it but has been exposed and has been shut down. A dam near the ditch’s entrance to the Brazos to control outflow as well as prevent river high-water inflow burst in the deluge, and that started the rapid erosion. A steel and concrete bridge crossing it is the only way in and out of one of the sections, and that has received much attention.
Went to vote this morning about 10:30 at the local Randall’s on FM 359 at Pecan Grove The good volunteers staffing the polling place said yesterday’s turnout there was the highest of all the early voting sites in Fort Bend County. The Pecan Grove and FM 359 area has a strongly conservative population, and I would guess the eagerness in first day early voting is significant. This morning it was quieter but steady, but maybe that was because of light rain and mid 60s. I had my say and voted for Newt.
Expect that Texas could put Mitt over the top in delegate count, so in a deliciously perverse way we still have our clout despite the whiny Texas Dems and their nuisance lawsuits over redistricting to delay and delay the primary. Will support Mitt with enthusiasm and delight; the man is beginning to sound Reaganesque. That’s the right direction, sir.

Thor’s debt hammer is about to fall on Greece and the Greeks know it.
Stocks faded in the final hour of trading Tuesday to finish lower after a transcript from the Greek meeting showed deposits leaving the nation’s banking system and after the Greece’s leaders failed to agree on a coalition government.
The S&P 500 closed at 3-month lows, while the Dow logged its ninth loss in the last 10 sessions. Major averages are on pace for their biggest monthly losses since last September.
According to a transcript, Greek depositors recently withdrew 700 million euros from the nation’s local banks, said President Karolos Papoulias, though the exact timing of the transfer was unclear.
The Euro is now at $1.2744 and falling. Twernt that long ago that the Euro was at $1.50+

HEADLINE: Turkey suspects bird was Israeli agent
Ankara security services search bee-eater’s nostrils for Mossad surveillance equipment
T
urkish authorities are examining the carcass of a European bee-eater on suspicion that the bird was spying for Israel, Turkish websites and media have reported in the past couple of days. The story, which hit Israel’s Yediot Ahronoth on Tuesday, has apparently been reported seriously in Turkey — an indication of the dire state of Turkish-Israeli relations, and an apparent readiness to give credibility to even the most outlandish assertions of Israeli iniquity.
Of particular interest to the authorities, the media reports say, were the dead bird’s nostrils, one of which is larger than the other, leading to suspicions that Mossad surveillance equipment was implanted in the beak.
The bird was banded with “Israel” on its leg; that is how the geniuses (genii?) knew it was a spy.

On Thursday, Reid, who has traditionally been a defender of the filibuster, took to the Senate floor to apologize to all the reformers he had stymied over the years.
“The rest of us were wrong,” he said. “If there were anything that ever needed changing in this body, it’s the filibuster rule, because it’s been abused, abused and abused.”
Fitty bucks sez he’ll be singing a different tune come January 2013.

Franciscan University of Steubenville is dropping their health insurance offering entirely for up to 200 students in August 2012. Although the new law doesn’t apply to them next year, they apparently believe it better to make a political statement now rather than offer health insurance and rely on their student body’s conscience. Of course those engaged in athletics or studying in Austria will be offered health insurance. Luckily the health act makes insurance available for students up to age 26 on their parents plan
Due to these changes in regulation by the federal government, beginning with the 2012-13 school year, the University 1) will no longer require that all full-time undergraduate students carry health insurance, 2) will no longer offer a student health insurance plan, and 3) will no longer bill those not covered under a parent/guardian plan or personal plan for student health insurance.

Good for them. The students shouldn’t be depending on the school for their health insurance coverage anyway. It’s just one more perq on the campus that needs to be relinquished and re-ordered to its proper place. Universities should not be in the business of comprehensive health insurance.

A medical report compiled by the family physician of accused Trayvon Martin murderer George Zimmerman and obtained exclusively by ABC News found that Zimmerman was diagnosed with a “closed fracture” of his nose, a pair of black eyes, two lacerations to the back of his head and a minor back injury the day after he fatally shot Martin during an alleged altercation.

SANFORD, Fla. —
WFTV has learned charges against George Zimmerman could be getting more serious.
State prosecutors said Zimmerman, a neighborhood watchman, profiled and stalked 17-year-old Trayvon Martin before killing him, so the FBI is now looking into charging him with a hate crime.
Zimmerman “profiled” and “stalked” Martin? Ummmm, yeah, right.

Apparently, that thug Zimmerman assaulted that sweet little guy, Travon, by hitting Trayvon’s fist with his face – repeatedly.
I’m guessing that with more investigation we will find that not only is Zimmerman guilty of a hate crime against Trayvon, but (given his surname) he’s probably a zionist oppressor.
