#6 Shannon: What a forken nightmare. The outright corruption in the banking industry is appalling. I fail to see how that is anything but naked theft. Something similar happened to me when dealing with the now defunct Sam White Olds dealership; we traded used cars and they were supposed to pay off the old one and form a new note for the newer one. Fortunately both loans were with the same bank. So Sam White goes belly up and the old note never got paid off. I sent a letter to the bank explaining that I had acted in good faith and that at one time they had all the funds, that they chose to make a bad decision and lend to the Sam White dealership was not my problem. They wound up sending me a check for a couple hundred $ and an apology, as the error was obviously on their part. The whole refinance boom was bound to cause problems as it was too much all at once.

Brotherhood would cancel Camp David Agreement, says Hezbollah official
Author: Haitham Dabbour
Tehran โ Egyptโs Muslim Brotherhood will eventually cancel the Camp David Agreement, despite the groupโs announcement that it respects international agreements Egypt has signed, said Amin al-Sayed Ibrahim, head of Hezbollahโs political council.Speaking to the โInternational Conference on Islamic Awakening and the Youths,โ Ibrahim said that the Egyptian military, so as not to lose its clout, would never allow the Brotherhood to write the constitution or even form a constituent assembly to write the constitution.
Following their electoral victories in Parliament, Egypt’s most organized political group has offered assurances that it would respect the 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
When asked early this month whether Washington believed that the Islamist party would uphold the treaty, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that the party “has made commitments to us in this regard.โ
Ibrahim said that the current unrest in Syria is a conspiracy and not a revolution, as western media claims. The Egyptian delegation clashed with him over the remarks.
โThe Syrians transfer arms to the Palestinian resistance,โ he said.
Over 1,200 young people from Iran as well as 73 other countries are participating in the two-day conference, Iranโs Fars news agency reported on Monday.
Publishing Date: Mon, 30/01/2012 – 20:11
So which is it? Are they going to respect the international agreements or are they going to walk out on Camp David? I suspect they will walk out on Camp David, which would liberate Israel from anymore ludicrous “land for peace” swaps that never yield peace. I would suggest that Egypt cancelling Camp David gives Israel a green light to purge the palestinian menace from their land once and for all.

You, and indeed anyone, would be petrified, not even thinking about reaching out to touch a gorilla or any other large wild animal. Even through the bars of a secure cage. Nor would you be looking into its eyes, unless those bars separated you. Most animals, especially males of the species, regard a direct look as a challenge or a threat. Not smart, even if the animal is caged. It can be unnerving to witness a primate having a conniption fit, even if it can’t reach you. (I base these comments on some experiences I had in an anthropology class that required observation time at a primate research facility at UT.) -

Not by choice.
I have heard that a growing trend in homes is separate master bedrooms, a repulsive proposition when first encountered.
But it does have its attraction after a night like last night with a sick partner.

Nope. It was a one night test. Will be doing it again out in the wayback on Friday night though.

#20 Shannon: We have a “bail out” room; when one of us is snoring or sick, Mrs. Bonecrusher goes to the other room and we both get peace. The ideal is where no one keeps anyone else awake and in those cases togetherness is great, otherwise the bail out room is a blessing.

Mrs. Bonecrusher goes to the other room and we both get peace.
Does MR. BONECRUSHER ever get out of his comfy, warm bed and let Mrs. B sleep in peace? Or is it a matter of who gets to sleep first?
PS: I bail out quite frequently. Hubby can break windows when he gets rolling. If I get to sleep first, though, I can frequently sleep through it. If he gets there first, though….

Mrs. Bonecrusher sleeps easily in the bail out room and I do not sleep at all in it, (insomnia can be a beyotch) therefore it is not a big deal. Frequently she starts out in there because my snoring can be so bad.

The hospital procedure went smoothly with Baby Girl. The nurses we spoke to afterwards all said Baby Girl was really god. The oly time she was upset was when she discovered that she had lost the #6 puzzle Mrs. Darren gave her earlier to pass the time waiting for the surgery. There was no invasive cutting so all work was done outside Baby Girl’s arm. We’rew home now and Baby Girl’s on the couch resting. Her medicine’s still having a sleepy affect no her and it should stay that way for a few hours. Getting those meds was kind of funny.
Anesthesiologist: [Brining in a styrofoam cup to Baby Girl] “Here’s your margarita. Have you ever seen your mother drink a margarita?”
Baby Girl: [UTTERLY CONFUSED]
Mrs. Darren: [Laughing] “No we don’t drink alcohol.”
Anesthesiologist: [Turning back to Baby Girl] “We’ll, this is your margarita.”
Baby Girl drank it and the sleeping process began.

Investors face more than 70 pct loss in Greek deal
How much money do the countries of Spain, Portugal, Italy, France and Ireland hold in the form of Greek bonds? How about the banks that hold those bonds, they will now face liquidity/margin issues of their own because, up to now, they were able to value them at 100% and now they are worth 30% net present value.

I’m not so gentle. It’ll take a freight train running through the bedroom to wake him up sometimes. He has lots of footprints on his back and legs, and few hand prints on his shoulder.

All of this reminds me of something I read a long time ago:
A married man was talking with his friend, and somehow during the conversation he revealed that he and his wife slept in separate beds.
“How do you know if your wife wants to have sex?” the friend asked.
“I wear a hat everyday. At night, I toss my hat onto her bed,” the man replied.
“And what does THAT do?” the friend asked, confused.
“Sometimes she throws it back, and sometimes she brings it back,” the man replied. -

He’s not really pointing hamsters to a New Republic piece, is he???
This morning, Gallup released the latest in its series of polls focused on twelve swing statesโColorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin. Three results stand out. (1) President Obama blows out Newt Gingrich by 14 points in those states (and 12 points nationally). There is no credible evidence that Gingrich would be competitive with the president, let alone a stronger challenger than Romney. (2) Obama and Romney are statistically tied: itโs Romney 48, Obama 47 in the swing states and 48-48 nationally. And most important, (3): despite changes in the political environment, a more aggressive stance by the president, and the emergence of less than flattering information about Mitt Romney, the Obama-Romney contest hasnโt moved much in many months.

On other news, Mrs. Darren has been two weeks late on her cycle and last night she went out with her cousin and got a pregnancy test. She peep in a cup and dipped the stick inside. The result said, “Pregnant”. This means either she or the cup is pregnant and as a non-betting man, I’m betting on the latter being true. All that is left is for the doctor to confirm that Mrs. Darren and I are in love.
What this means:
First, the blessing of life. “Multiply and replenish the earth” was God’s first commandment to Adam and Eve. This obviously pertains to parenthood. Parenthood is a blessing from God. We humans actually take part in God’s plan of creation and many great blessings come from using this power righteously. No doubt Mrs. Darren and I will be blessed with a fifth child.
Second, the challenges: I’ve made known before that each of Mrs. Darren’s pregnancies got progressively worse on her not just physically but mentally. In clinical terms, she’s a lunatic when she’s pregnant. This includes suicidal tendencies. This was the main reason she and I decided not to have any more children; but I guess the Lord had different plans for us. One more body for one more of His souls to be raised in mortality. As said before, many blessing will come and so will the challenges. Mrs. Darren’s already talking crazy though I’d say that it’s much more based on the fear of her potentially going nuts than her actually being nuts. She was on the phone today with her parents and friends laughing about it. More so with her friends since her mother, who’d be very happy to be a new grandma, knows very well the challenges Mrs. Darren may face.
But, back to my #1. God is the great provider and protector of life. He s our loving Father in heaven and cares for each of us. I know He will be there for us as He’s always been. I do ask that folks here keep my Niki in your thoughts and prayers. She’s a woman of great faith, despite her pronouncements of self-doubt. She has a very strong network of friends and family which offer much strength and fortification. I’ve no doubt in the power of prayer for it is a real communion with the very God who is over us all. Despite my own concerns I do receive his comfort and guidance.
I don’t want to sound all gloomy though. We’re basically starting over again but I am very happy and so is Mrs. Darren. The only thing that’ll make Mrs. Darren happier is to send me to the doctor to get my tubes tied. ๐

I forgot to mention, Mrs. Darren already cut out one of her meds without doctor’s preapproval since that medication, lithium, can’t be good for a baby. She’ll gradually reduce other meds she takes and if I understand correctly, these are meds she took during the last three pregnancies; just not at the high levels she is. She will call her doctor tomorrow and rst assuerd that se hasan excellent grasp on medications and the affects on her and her body so it’s not like she’s making these decisions blindly.

mharper;
Sounds like a plan, my man, if LDS permits it.
Permitted, not encouraged. As I pointed out, God’s first commandment was to “multiply and replenish” the earth. Altering one’s body to prohibit the ability to multiply and replenish does run contrary to this original commandment. It ‘s permitted in the sense that having children is a personal matter and specifically in Mrs. Darren’s and my case, there are, as you noted, medical reasons to decide something of this nature. The LDS Church does very strongly advocate being prayerful in the matter. And, yes, I have prayed a lot regarding having children and there are specific medical reasons, not mine own but Niki’s, that I would go forth with this procedure. The LDS Church won’t sanction this act but it won’t condemn it neither. Under this situation that means the decision falls upon the individual.

Good news your daughter is patched up.
Thanks, mharper. She’s taking her second nap since she returned home.

Great news Darren: Your daughter is going to be all better and Mrs Darren has a bun in the oven. I don’t know how many kids you have but usually the more the merrier, and always louder. Prayers to you and yours.

Drudge has linked an astounding story of a California park ranger who zapped a dog walker out with his 2 dogs off-leash. Apparently this park had only recently become a national park and now dogs must be on leash.
While it is reported this dog walker wasn’t cooperative with the ranger, getting tased in the park seems a bit extreme. The park service explanation:
The ranger was trying to educate residents of the rule

Well, I am off to a business meeting/dinner. Wasn’t sure if I wanted to go. The guy running the association is annoying as heck, but it’s hard to be severe with him. He’s like a big ol’ cocker spaniel who keeps jumping in your lap to lick your face.
I’m going, since I’ve boycotted the last two meetings. I need to make an appearance every now and then, and the meeting description sounds interesting. There will be a speaker on security, and I think a councilman will appear.
And then there’s the potty lid contest. I’m sure I’ll be asked to judge it again. /sigh
But if the Cocker Spaniel man introduces me as “our ‘Maggie’ ” or “Mrs. Aggie” again, I’m not responsible for what might happen to him. I have a real name, I wish he’d use it. And if he asks me to “the first woman president” again, the same rule applies.
He thinks “NO DAMMIT” is spelled “m-a-y-b-e”.

Good evening Hamsters. We got much more rain than prognosticated last night. Light misty rain most of the night gave way to several hard downpours, mixed with episodes of sunlight, shaken with long bouts of drizzle/light rain, and just plain light rain made a 0.80″ cocktail on our place today. Still soaked in but with mushy remains. We’re quickly catching up to the moisture deficit around here. Thank you, Lord.
Seems that all the media and pundits of all persuasions are getting their bustles in a knot over the Florida primary, determined that the winner (their winner of course) will be the nominee. It is so ordained by the Oracle of DC–whatever/whoever that is. At the moment. They all seem to have forgotten that the Florida Republican Party by insisting that the primary be moved up has annoyed the RNC sufficiently to reduce Florida’s delegate strength from 100 to 50 at the Convention this summer. So the winner only gets 50 delegates this round, not enough by a long shot to win the nomination at this stage.
Who knows, mayhap the pseudo Latino leaders who pitched a fit and lawsuit over Texas redistricting and thereby holding up setting a primary date might have inadvertently done conservatives a favor. So our primary is delayed into April or even May, but the nobody has enough delegates pledged to be the GOP nominee by then, and the Texas delegation has its clout back…
That would be sweet, and so nice to have a say over the pipsqueak states that went early. ๐

Romney 51%,….Yup, It’s sad but it aint over yet. I’m still hoping that the REAL conservatives in the rest of the states will try to elect a conservative. I’d hate to have to vote for a Liberal that is against the second amendment and for abortion, not to mention his agreement with Obama on managed, forced healthcare, but, but, he would be much better than Obama…..Sigh ๐ -

According to George Soros, there wouldn’t be any difference between an Obama Presidency and a Mittens Presidency.
Several polls had forecast a 20 point margin for Mittens, its running ar 15 points right now. If he doesn’t poll over 50% its a moral victory (although a pyrhic one) for Newt and Santorum.
Every Establishment Republican still breathing came out for Mittens. Mittens ran three times as many ads as Newt, and 99% of them were negative. Nearly half a million absentee votes had been cast before the drubbing he took in South Carolina exposed the myth of his invincibility. With all that money, and all that support, he should have been able to do better than 60%.

#70 Sarge, I agree, I’d heard about all the absentee votes but since the race was split 4 ways I think Romney would still have won in Florida.

Yah. That’s gonna happen until Newt or Santorum get out of the race.
Nice to know we’ll be running a candidate that most of the base doesn’t like and who will likely win the nomination by default.
Pity the General Election doesn’t work that way.

Now for something different, one of my guys at work sent me a couple of pictures of an old, “New Model Blackhawk” revolver to my cell phone and said that he couldn’t figure what caliber it was?!?! Yup, Scary huh? Well the Pixs on my phone are about the size of a large postage stamp so I E-Mailed them to my computer and there, plain as day on the left side of the frame it said; Ruger New Model Blackhawk 357 Mag, on the other side, SN 32-XXXXX. I LQQKed it up and the gun was manufactured in 1975, the same year as my old Super Blackhawk in 44 Mag.

How in the world did Gingrich become the anti-establishment candidate?
Newt 2007: Increase The State Department By 50%
I heard a portion of Ann Coulter on Glenn Beck today and Glenn mentioned this tidbit by Gingrich. Ann responded to Gingrich’s call to increase the State Department by 50% as something ot the affect: “that’s not exactly raging against the machine”. That was kinda funny. Butit does seem like gingrich is advocating less US involvement worldwide by increasingthe state departent by 50%? I don’t get it.

LOL. That’s funny. What’s also funny is that it seems that Mormon wives (one per husband ๐ ) seem to get pregnant together. When you go to a church ward it seems like a group of 5-6 women are pregneant at a given time, then it’s “quite”, then ,all the sudden, 5-6 women are pregnant again. We’ll see if the pregnant bug spreads in our ward following Mrs. Darren.

Accordingly then the only way for Newt to proclaim himself as the anti-establishment is for him to admit that he was forced out *by Republicans*, correct? I think that this has much more to do with rallying behind a candidate *who can win* and who is not Romney. Gingrich is hardly “anti-establishment”.
