Good evening Hamsters. Rain dance did some good yesterday and overnight, a wonderful 0.65″ in the faithful plastic gauge. Soaked in almost immediately but left the surface a bit slick most of the day. Can we have some more, please? Have been out of the Hamster loop a bit lately owing to a monster toothache that started last Thursday about… Read more »

Reply to No.’s 25, 29, 31 & 32: You people are not “politically correct” in your celebrating. It should be “Happy Holidays” which will encompass this “makeup” holiday that is barely even mention after Christmas anymore and any other real or imaginary celebration whether it be religious or not.

A young woman from Maine, a 20 year old college student, took a summer job at a WalMart store and wrote an article about it for The College Conservative website.
Her piece, My Time at Walmart: Why We Need Serious Welfare Reform has 2,640 comments so far in one week’s time.
Read the whole thing.

Just an honest comment, not mean-spirited: I think the pic of Newt up on Drudge right now makes him look especially gnome-like. Well, maybe a leprechaun? Newt & Callista

Okay where are the “PC” police when you need them. The Jewish people are out yelling “Happy Hanukkah” when everybody knows that the “politically correct” greeting should be “Happy Holidays” so as to not offend the non-Jewish people out there. Come on people get in step with the ultra left wing liberal nutjobs out there and be politically correct. Just… Read more »

Caroline Glick has some good news for those of us who are pro-Israel: For decades New York Times columnist Thomas Friedman balanced his substantively anti-Israel positions with repeated protestations of love for Israel. His balancing act ended last week when he employed traditional anti-Semitic slurs to dismiss the authenticity of substantive American support for Israel. Channeling the longstanding anti-Semitic charge… Read more »

My thoughts on the Congressional franking office prohibiting members from wishing constituents Merry Christmas and the like – how about they just do away with franking all together, or at least set a minimal budget for actual business that needs to be conducted.
