Shutting down the Oakland Occupation
As I logged on and listened to this stream this morning, I was struck by how often the videographer complained about a “lack of transparency” when a cop refused to give a badge number or refused to allow them into areas that still were active with police activity.
It seems that the cops have removed the tents and barricades set up by the protestors.
Is this the beginning of the end? Or is it the beginning of a new round of protests?
Big question – will Obama claim the police “acted stupidly”? And will this continue to deflect attention from Obama’s failures and missteps and Constitutional sidesteps?
UPDATE: As of 8:50 am, the streaming video went off-air. Came back up at 9:00 am. (Houston time, that is). Don’t know how long the streaming will continue.

Would you believe…..UCF (in Orlando) and Hawaii in the same conference? That is absolute silliest thing I’ve heard proposed; a merger of Mountain West and C-USA.
Umm, is all this maneuvering, dealing, speculating, plotting, etc. about teams moving to different conferences–or not– and the foreseen consequences thereof building up to a script for Maxwell Smart talking into his shoe? Then there are the unforeseen consequences lurking in the weeds, ready to spring. What a zoo.
