I guess there’s no media bias:
Chicago, August 11, 2011 – This week U.S. Senator Dick Durbin held a press conference with members of the mainstream media to talk about the downgrade crisis. But the Senator’s scripted storyline veered off-course when a conservative reporter – me – showed up to ask an embarrassing question. Namely, “Senator, you’ve blamed the tea party…but do you bear any responsibility for this downgrade crisis?”
What, you didn’t hear about this incident in the media? For those of you that need more proof that journalism is dead, read on.
/snip
I stood my ground and asked the question a number of times. “You’re not allowed to ask questions during a press conference,” bleated Anderson. “We are going to have you thrown out by the cops,” he said, running interference for Durbin. In addition to doing news for the Illinois Radio Network, Anderson apparently moonlights as an unpaid member of Dick Durbin’s staff.
And, according to John Kerry, et al, this is a “Tea Party Downgrade”. Yep, no responsibility being directed towards the drunken sailor spending policies of the Democrats (assisted by the Republicans). The media will not hold any tender Democrat toes to the fire, and they do whatever they can to assist the liberal agenda and protect their comrades
Then the “regular” media arrive with their puff questions, but the Kelly continues to try to get his questions answered. Some might describe Kelly as rude, when rudeness is considered to be a virtual by some aggressive reporters. Regular media types resent the intrusion and soon try to crowd out .
I’m sure there are a multitude of examples out there. It’s okay with me if they want to report the way they’re doing – as long as they present themselves as biased commentators, not unbiased reporters.
Monday OC is up.
Is it possible that cheap Chinese crap is going to get more expensive as more and more people protest poor working conditions, pay and pollution in China?
Planking, then Owling, then Coning (I missed that one and have no idea what it is) now Horsemaning: “Horsemaning,” or fake beheading, involves posing two people so that they appear to be a single body with a detached head — and is a revival of a photography fad popular in the 1920s. Check out some of the lame-azzed photo examples.… Read more »

Or would it be just toes? The hair doesn’t actuallly grow on the “knuckles”.
On the legs and in the armpits. Hopefully nowhere else. 😯
Well, I guess toe knuckles would be OK.
I say the next Hamous get together should be on Superdave’s boat.
139 Dave, I would rather have the Sea Ray 670. I think you would have a better chance of breaking even on a charter service with it. Not too many clients could handle the kind of money it would take to charter Tiger’s boat. It is all a dream anyway, but if one is going to daydream about an affair… Read more »
You can buy, you can rent, you can borrow, you can do a lot but it’s all expensive.
Out, before I get really foolish. It’s been a long and interesting week…

Didn’t Biden, the vice president say pretty much the same thing?

Great comment that grates on my nerves. You want stuff, earn it like the rest of us.
And if those looters can’t figure it out, they can starve.

The question to snopes was, were they bisexual with each other?
This is the goofiest thing I ever heard of!

Partly true?? Doesn’t bisexual pretty much cover all possibilities?
#147 Dave Kilt the dang blog again Doesn’t bother me, but I run with my scent chip disabled. I looked through the ad for Tiger’s Yacht. The man who had it all and threw it all away. I watched the “gay” video. I never heard that either of them was gay or bisexual. However, Google is my friend too and… Read more »

Hey I took a shower! When I got back from boating I smelled like a combo of cheap sun screen, salt water and sweat,…kinda like a French Whore that fell into a pickle vat. 😀 ….Uh Oh, What about Hammy’s Mom, she’s way worse than HAL.
Lookit what you went and did.
Ok, I guess Ole Dave has Kilt the dang blog again!…..Gotta look into some new deodorant, he!! I took a shower right before I sat down!
OK This is disgusting! Gallup: Obama job rating sinks below 40% for first time.
Why disgusting, you axe? Read the caption under the picture; President Obama leaves the Oval Office on Saturday on his way to play golf at Andrews Air Force Base. (Jacquelyn Martin / Associated Press)

Budget Impasse Explained – PG version The folks who are getting free stuff, don’t like the folks who are paying for the free stuff, because the folks who are paying for the free stuff, can no longer afford to pay for both the free stuff and their own stuff. #142 I had a chat with someone yesterday on that subject. They were bragging about how they trap them live and then drive them two miles away and release them. They live in Tomball. If you know the area all they are doing is letting someone else deal with it because they are humane. They are also vegatarians AND from… Read more »
#141 texanadian, Amen brother, my thoughts perzactly.
We got an inch and a half out here in deep Waller county according to my neighbor who pays attention to those things. If it does that everyday for the next month it might do some good. San FrancisoCalifornia curriculum?Google is my friend; Tiger Woods Yacht
And it’s up for sale,…maybe Simple will buy it instead. 😉
Heh. Watching Family Guy. Peter is home schooling the kids. History lesson included 1985 when “the gayest video ever made” was created. I must agree:
#132 Hamous, no, their name was the same as a county in Alabama, but not Conecuh which Evergreen is the County seat of.
I’ll be the barkeep. Buuurp
FWIW; I’ve been into boats all my life and I used to take Boating Magazine, then I discovered “Trailer Boats” which suited me better. I’ll never forget reading in BM about a 600+ foot trawler (converted cargo ship) that had a 38′ Bertram for it’s tender?!?! Kept in the hold! This was years ago and now it’s is just crazy!… Read more »
#133 Simple, YUP! and hey remember, when you get that Sea Ray 610 you’ll need a tender, I’d like to nominate my Lil’ 205 Sea Ray she’d look great hanging from the davits of your mother ship. I’d be her captain of course. 😀
128 Dave,
Now THAT is living. Everything else is unimportant.
Hyde.
#129 Hamous could you divulge their name? I went to school with a guy from evergreen, who’s family had about 400 acres and the place still had slave cabins occupied by tenant share-croppers as late as the 70’s.
Pakistan gave the Chinese full access to the tail rotor section of the downed chopper. This was after being told not to do so. Why are we giving any support to Pakistan? Super Dave – talked to my mother earlier. Her father was from Evergreen Alabama. Apparently they’ve located some long lost relatives and found out her great great grandfather’s house and farm are still intact so her and my aunt are heading up there for a family reunion over Labor Day weekend.
Man, what a day, we had a great time, we went out to Redfish, (first time I’ve been there since it was rebuilt) and the bay was smooth as glass, not unusal for August in Texas, BUTT very unusal for this year, it’s been windier than I ever remember. There were only three other boats there and one was the… Read more »
Random thought,
If white guys ain’t got no rhythm, why are they the only ones who fly fish? I’d forgotten how hard a beat that is to keep.
Getting lots of thunder here, too, but no rain.
Did pick up a strange dog in the back yard, though. He left when I knocked on the window. He was sleeping in the one patch of green available – around my garden.
Reflubbery summer.
Long line of thick clouds rolls SW out of Harris County across Fort Bend, but the heavier rain seems to be sliding farther west according to the radar–darn. Wind just picked up so maybe we will get something from the edges anyway. Still 95 and plenty hot though solidly overcast now.

SEC – Southeastern Conference.
Thunder. Still no rain.
Getting darker and windy here at Hobby.
I used to think SEC meant Securities & Exchange Commission, but this one sounds more like sports.
Very cloudy here in the barrio. No rain yet.
What’s that saying about small packages? Hoe-lee cow!
Also they have to line up a 14th team in the East division.
