Yeah, I know all about innocent until proven guilty and all that but it’s time for Eversole to resign:

Harris County Commissioner Jerry Eversole was indicted Tuesday and he is now facing serious prison time. From conspiracy to bribery, the veteran commissioner was brought into court wearing shackles to face a litany of charges.

Eversole is alleged to have accepted hundreds of thousands of dollars in illegal gifts from an already indicted developer named Michael Surface.

Republicans made great strides in Harris County this year. If Eversole chooses to remain on Commissioners Court he jeopardizes those gains.

Don’t pull a Rangel, Mr. Eversole. Leave now.

Thanks for sharing that remarkable art work. What age kid(s) created this?

I especially like the turtles and the blue-eyed cat. The little pony — is it a ranbow-colored equine, or just wearing a colorful blanket?

The maroon dragon is amazing. I would guess an older boy did that part of the picture.

Shannon, lil sister (an awesome soprano) and I have upheld this tradition for nearly a year now. Often we’re joined by one of the basses. If we could find a willing alto we’d have a quartet.

Yes, choir practice was good.

The Obama administration is expected to roll out a major greenhouse gas policy for power plants and refineries as soon as Wednesday, signaling it won’t back off its push to fight climate change in the face of mounting opposition on Capitol Hill. I think God may be willing, but concerns himself with other, more important matters.

“Souls” comes to mind.

Correct on the free will aspect of man’s creation. My choice to use “God willing” was to simply use the liberal’s words against himself.

I think the current batch in Washington lack the courage to do what is necessary to secure our brders. If not, they’d be much more secure than they are now.

The good news: Two-thirds of the Jews killed in the Holocaust have been identified.

The bad news: Only two-thirds of the Jews killed in the Holocaust have been identified.

Think about that for a minute. That missing one-third represents two million people – men, women, children, the elderly, entire families who were slaughtered simply for how they chose to worship.

When future former house speaker Nancy Pelosi finally leaves office she will be entitled to over $900K of tax payer’s money, per year, to maintain what is essentially a vanity office, and a vehicle to channel our money to politically connected acquaintances.

It’s not a political system. It’s a political industry.
