Unemployment is the fourth highest in the nation at 11.9%. Home foreclosure rate is the second highest in the nation with one in every 155 households receiving a notice. The population of your state saw its first decline since 1946 under your watch. The state is facing a budget hole of more than $3.5 billion. What do you do? What do you do? Why pardon a long-dead narcissistic hipster, of course:

The Doors singer Jim Morrison will get a posthumous pardon for an indecent exposure conviction in Florida after Gov. Charlie Crist got a commitment for enough votes from other members of the state’s Board of Executive Clemency to approve it.

Morrison was appealing the conviction when he was found dead in a Paris bathtub in 1971. The meeting Thursday comes a day after the singer would have turned 67.

Rick Perry, in addition to being a Progressive Democrat, is a Communist and practices Kaballa too?

I’m having a hard time believing that Texas’ unemployment rate stands at 11.9% considering that Texas has the highest job growth of any state in the Union.

Although the second item has more of an “ewww” factor.

Before you assume that legalizing cannabis would result in a nation full of stoners in constant need of public assistance or medical care, you might want to check your facts. #66 Dude, one of the reasons medical insurance is so costly is that two thirds of “addicts” receiving treatment are forced to do so to avoid a more severe penalty for simple possession. Of course you can SAY that you don’t want it to, and that may be true, but the practical implication of your ideology leads to fiscal liberalism. It always has. Couldn’t agree more.
