I always get a chuckle out of stories like this. The reason is two-fold – First, it’s a troofer-esque “I am repulsed but yet I cannot look away” funny story. It’s like the scabbone prophet in the trench coat on the street corner screaming about the end of the world. They’re what make life interesting. Second, it’s fun to watch the more libertine chuckleheads use one lone nut to paint all conservatives as homophobic:

A widely distributed e-mail written by Delgaudio for the Public Advocate about TSA, claims the pat downs are part of a “Homosexual Agenda.” And he criticizes TSA’s non-discrimination hiring policy.

“It’s the federal employee’s version of the Gay Bill of Special Rights… That means the next TSA official that gives you an ‘enhanced pat down’ could be a practicing homosexual secretly getting pleasure from your submission,” Delgaudio wrote.

#65 Tedtam, it sounds like you’re referring to Christ Church Cathedral, an Episcopal church downtown that has had a good partnership with Treebeards since the ’80s. In the days when I used to get a few consulting gigs downtown, I would treat clients to lunch at the Cloister (aka: parish hall.) The kitchen facilities there are awesome and spacious. Their… Read more »

Coming in late from a wake. Looking over the comments. I’m too wissin’ tired to get all up in the homosexual debate, although I will admit Bob is a master and self-imposed incomprehension of relatively simple concepts. Your discussion of lunchtimes reminded me of one lunch I took with my programming team, back in my corporate life. The Cloister belongs… Read more »

The scariest thing I’ve heard about ditching don’t-ask-don’t-tell is that big survey of current military showed that as many as 1/3 of the Marines may leave the service if this happens. And their boss has already told them to get lost. Military members who have a problem with a change in policy to allow gays to serve openly may find… Read more »

Late to the party today. Have been trying to do as much household stuff and Christmas decorating as 1.5 hands will allow. Will have to go back to the orthopedic clinic tomorrow to have the splint and bandage changed. It has slipped some owing to it is large at the elbow and doesn’t fit under normal size sleeves so putting… Read more »

WB, I appreciate your answer. Thanks. Good night y’all. I’m gonna get back to the Rhodes repairs. I may have found a fix for some of the dozen or so “wiggly” tines that have excessive horizontal vibration. The deviation from vertical oscillation causes intonation issues. If the fix works, it will save me quite a few bucks on replacement parts… Read more »

#56, Simple,

1 through 5 have been around since fermentation/distillation and marriage began. Not that there has always been a connection between them.

Look up Ted Trimpa and Tim Gill to see how gays are influencing politics towards their progressive agenda.

#26 Pyro Glad to see you commented on the arsenic organisms. This is an astonishing story. These things use arsenic instead of phosphorus to construct their DNA and ADP molecules — although I guess their energy compound will be called ADA with no phosphate in it. It’s all a part of a larger libertine philosophy that all belief systems are on an equal plane, that no one system is any better than another. We’ve been drifting in that direction for a long time. 30 years ago could you have imagined that we would be having a debate as inane as this? As our story goes, Moore… Read more »

Simple, I didn’t contend that they were more or less contributory than any of the reasons you listed. I will say that that movement has infiltrated the public schools, the text books, adoption, etc. in a blatant effort to succeed in indoctrinating a generation into championing homosexuality. Homie don’t play that. In addition to the things you listed, the progressives… Read more »

Sad but true. We moderns have managed to combine an incredible mastery of technical knowledge and information with an astonishing ignorance of the traditional wisdom once possessed by an illiterate village elder, and evident for all to see on every page of history. I’m always amazed that approximately 1% of the population has been able to marshall and engage the other 99% into the gay marriage issue. Talk about disproportion. I imagine it’s something like The Pelosi saying that abortion is acceptable in her view of the faith. Il Papa disabused her of that notion on her visit to The Vatican. She was visibly shaken and chastened as she left that meeting as I recall.

Does Catholic doctrine support separation of church and state, as some interpretations of Matt 22:21 suggest, or does it favor a merge of civil and religious authoritah? The Church and the State are different and separate entities.
