The Definition of Moral Relativism

When I first read this article about a group calling themselves 45 Million Voices I was speechless:

We believe that an abortion can be an act of love.

A few days later I still don’t know what to say. Then I remembered. Tedtam already said it:

The choice was made,
The date was set.
The mother at the door was met.
She was laid down
Upon the bed
The mist before her eyes was red.

The babe inside
Knew not just yet
That fate was death this moment met.
He sucked his thumb
And then he felt
Death it was the hand was dealt.

โ€œBut wait!โ€ he cried
Thoโ€™ no one heard
His plaintive plea for one more word.
โ€œBut wait!โ€ he cried
โ€œDonโ€™t you know?
You will reap what โ€˜tis you sow!โ€

โ€œI am the one
To hold you tight
Against the terrors of the night.
The comfort I am
When you are old,
Will not be when I am cold.

โ€œI am the one
Will stay the hand
Of the dreaded robber band
That will attack you
Some night hence
In some moment frightful tense.

โ€œI am the one
To save the earth
When medicine I make of such worth.
โ€œI am the one,โ€
He sadly said,
โ€œWho will mourn you when you are dead.โ€

โ€œI am the one
To bring you cheer
When my toothless smile appear.
โ€œI am the one!โ€
He cried in fright,
โ€œTo fight for you against all might!โ€

โ€œBut wait,โ€ he said,
โ€œDonโ€™t you see?
God put us together โ€“ you and me.
โ€œI am you
And you are me,
And part of you dies when you kill me.โ€

โ€œBut wait!โ€ he sighed,
In moment his last
An epiphany his mother had, alas,
The choice was made,
The pain so great
And she called out loud โ€œBut wait!โ€

Her unborn son
Made his way home
Greeted by God in Heaven to roam.
โ€œShe didnโ€™t want me,โ€
The babe sadly said,
โ€œI know,โ€ God sighed, โ€œlive here instead.โ€

I think it is very telling the pro-abortion crowd feels defensive enough to create a forum like this. The court of public opinion has been slowly shifting and the demographic evidence of younger generations indicates a future rejection of the pro-abortion mentality as the defining issue of feminism. It has been stated many times before, but the war against abortion… Read more »

There are many women who “choose” abortion for any number of reasons – force, shame, pressure – They’re extremely confused or misguided but I don’t think they’re inherently evil. Anyone who characterizes abortion as an “act of love” is evil personified and no different than a psychotic mass murderer.

The pro-abortion crowd always calls themselves “pro-choice”.

The baby never has a chance to choose.

Some folks who wish to become prominent Republican pundits will tell you that you shouldn’t even dare to have this opinion.

It might hurt their chances in the next election.

Its all about priorities, I guess.

Just remember that we have a fearless leader that believes even a live birth should be left in the trash heap to die if that was the mother’s intent. He also thinks that should one of his daughters make a mistake she should not be punished with a baby. And we are counting on this heartless POS to handle our… Read more »

That picture always gets to me. That, and the one where the baby in utero grabbed the finger of the surgeon during an operation.

Yep, “product of pregnancy”.

I love those products!
