It’s Friday, the weather’s nice, and it’s time kick back and throw some meat in the fire. Or on the fire, if your aim is more accurate.

Those crazy Russians! What will they think of next?

Michelle would be proud of this site.  If you really want to upset MichO, go eat at Kelley’s Country Cookin’.  (I’m quite sure they won’t mind the plug.)  Go hungry.  With a crowd. Of hungry people. Bring a doggie bag. For a big dog.

    Tolerance!

    I am perplexed that so many of my friends are against a mosque

    being built near Ground Zero. I think it should be the goal of

    every American to be tolerant. The mosque should be
    allowed,in an effort to promote tolerance.

    That is why I also propose, that two gay nightclubs be opened

    next door to the mosque thereby promoting tolerance within the

    mosque. We could call the clubs “The Turban Cowboy” and “You

    Mecca Me So Hot”.

    Next door should be a butcher shop that specializes in pork
    and have an open barbecue with spare ribs as its daily
    special. Across the street a very daring lingerie store
    “Victoria Keeps Nothing Secret” with sexy mannequins in th
    window modelling the goods.

    Next door to the lingerie shop, there would be room for an
    Adult Toy Shop (Koranal Knowledge?), its name in flashing neon

    lights, and on the other side a liquor store, maybe call it
    “Morehammered”?

    That’s an idea. I’ve been wanting to go to some high school events around here lately. They’re a lot cheaper than the professionals and can be just as entertaining. Perhaps I shall peruse the local schedules to see what’s going on. Lovely is coming in this afternoon and we have some things planned, but I believe my evening MIGHT be free. Especially if she’s hanging out with Aggie Beau, but since they are planning to spend tomorrow together, I may just have her for the night. Maybe we’ll stay in and cuddle up with a movie tonight. I miss cuddling.

    MsTT …. Just hack around the settings and set the clock as 24 hour. Then 6:30 is AM and 1830 is 6:30PM. Don’t mind what you messup Hammie will fixit cause he’s a good fixerupper.

    Me, I always fired the next days post off at 00:01 (1 minute after midnight) on the next days date. Can’t hardly miss that-a way.

I have an inkling that, if true, this poop-river goes way up the govt and the pushback needs to be more like using a battering ram. This kind of thing can not be allowed to go unpunished, if in fact, the reason for the kid being “in danger” is his dad being “associated” with the group Oath Keepers.

    As if we needed more to be distressed with concerning the commie left: THIS should push us over the edge. Personally, I think that education dollars should follow the student and let the free market rule; just watch the overall performance in education skyrocket.

    It’s a great way to spend a nice, relaxed Friday (or Sat) evening.

    1) kids in cars
    2) eating in cars (THAT will limit me – some days I live in my car and have to eat on the run)
    3) radio / mp3 / music of any kind
    4) billboards and other signage
    5) passengers
    6) insects (buzzing around car)
    7) emotions

    These are all potential distractions or factors that could inhibit good driving behaviors or that could cause auto accidents. I propose that the nanny state just give us a chauffeurs.

    and was telling the men how to give the necessary assurance to their
    partners at this stage of the pregnancy.

    She said “Ladies, remember that exercise is good for you. Walking is
    especially beneficial. It strengthens the pelvic muscles and will make
    delivery that much easier.” Just take several stops and stay on a soft
    surface like grass or a path.

    She looked at the men in the room, “and Gentlemen, remember — You’re in
    this together — It wouldn’t hurt you to go walking with her.

    The room suddenly got very quiet as the men absorbed this information.

    Then George in the back of the room slowly raised his hand.

    “Yes, answered the Instructor.

    “I was just wondering if it would be all right if JoAnn carries a golf bag
    while we walk??

    —- This kind of sensitivity just can’t be taught..

    #29, The guy should have just thought about renting/buying a pull cart. Besides I have seen women who were probably 6-8 months preggers still playing. Granted they were not hitting off the tee box but were pitching and putting with their hubby and getting some exercise.

    Had lunch with my mom on Wednesday and she hit the nail on the head, Chamber of Commerce weather this past week or so. The problem is I have my sticks in the car and they are calling me…. MUST resist…. Must stay in office and work till at least lunch time…. Must be a good boy….. sigh, this is the sort of day where I would go out at 7am play 18 come in have lunch and go back out and play another 18 if I did not have to be in the office. 🙂

    I was 8½ months pregnant with Lovely and was still going to my aerobics class. I converted all the moves to low impact. I would grapevine to the right, bend over in a contraction, then grapevine to the left. One high kick, [ LOVELY IS NOW LEAVING SCHOOL AND IS ON HER WAY HOME!!!! ] contraction compaction, then another high kick. I made everyone nervous, and I finally did quit a week or so before my due date. Lovely was two weeks late. Without going into too many details, let’s just say it was a long labor. The doctor thought I would be pushing for hours, after being labor for so long. Again, without all the details (the nurses were very surprised at one thing I did), I pushed for only 20 minutes, and that’s with the Tedtam-caused delay of five minutes.

    Then, with Handsome Son, I was working in the personnel department of a large energy company Which Will Not Be Named. I loved my boss, he was awesome. [Aside: One night, as I was working late on a project problem that I was bound and determined I would lick, “G” came to me and asked me to follow him. It was almost 7:00 pm and I was trying to figure out what I had done wrong and which bigwig was going to chew me out this late in the day when G stopped at the westward facing windows. “Look,” he said, pointing to a gorgeous sunset, “I just thought you ought to see that!” We admired God’s handiwork for a while, then I went back to work. He was awesome.] Anyway, Handsome was due on September 2, and by early August I was having contractions every time I tried to get out of my chair to use the restroom. Everyone was getting nervous, waiting for me go into labor there in the office. I told G that I would be making August 31 my last day. “Are you sure?” he asked. “G,” I said, “I have a toddler at home. Look at me! Even if this baby doesn’t come on his due date, I’m tired and I’d like to rest and spend some time with Lovely before the new baby comes.” “Well, okay, if you really want to,” he said. “Yes, I *really* want to, ” I replied.

    Friday morning, August 31st, “G” comes to my cubicle and asked “Are you really sure you want to quit? I haven’t started the paperwork yet.” “YES, TODAY IS MY LAST DAY!” If it weren’t for the baby thing, I would have stayed on. We both liked and respected each other, but holy cow!

    Another note: My Hubby told me of a conversation he had with the anesthesiologist during those 25½ hours of labor with Handsome (I think I finally got my epidural about eighteen hours in). Anesthesiologist: “Your wife has been in labor a long time!” “Yes, she has,” hubby answered. “She will be pushing for hours, then, she will be tired.” “You don’t know my wife,” Hubby replied, “She’s a slow starter but a fast finisher!”

    When it came time to push, after 25 hours of labor and a good chunk of it without pain killers, I pushed for about 30 minutes before Handsome Son made his appearance. And yes, he was handsome from the very beginning. The anesthesiologist came back to check on me and remove his stuff. “You sure know your wife!” was all he said to my husband. Hubby just smiled.

    My wife was in labor with kiddo #1 for 6.5 hrs and pushed 3 times. Kiddo #2 labor was induced because she had been having contractions for 6 weeks and was on bed rest because she was so big for the last 4. Well 4hrs of labor and less than 2 minutes of pushing and kiddo #2 pops out…

    When my wife decided she wanted them out they came out, no questions asked…

    My wife was in labor with kiddo #1 for 6.5 hrs and pushed 3 times. Kiddo #2 labor was induced because she had been having contractions for 6 weeks and was on bed rest because she was so big for the last 4. Well 4hrs of labor and less than 2 minutes of pushing and kiddo #2 pops out…

    When my wife decided she wanted them out they came out, no questions asked…

    Lovely was taking so long that my doctor went back to his office. The “delay” I referred to before was a bit of stubbornness on my part. When the nurses told me that the doctor was on his way and would be there in a few minutes, I quit pushing. Lovely was crowning and the nurses were shocked that I quit. My thought process was that after everything I had been through that day, all the waiting, the labor, the indignities I had suffered, that doctor was going to be there with this catcher’s glove on to catch this baby! I sat there (well, wasn’t actually sitting, but you’ve got the visual) with Lovely waiting for the final push or two, and when the doctor arrived I finished the effort.

    I have my stupid moments, I know. But after 18 hours, I’m entitled to be a little stupid.

    1. Certain Citizens of a State, wishing to modify thier Government, gather enough signatures on a Petition to place an Iniative on the Ballot in the next election.

    2. Prior to Election Day, Opponents and Proponents of the Iniative make their views known to the Electorate at Large and engage in spirited Public Debate.

    3. After the votes are counted, the majority of the Citizens of the State agree with the Proponents of the Initiative.

    4. Opponents of the Initiative then bring suit to prevent the new Law from taking effect.

    5. The Government refuses to defend the Initiave because the elected officials responsible for doing so disagree with the Proponents.

    6. The Judge in the case allows the Proponents themselves to defend the Initiative in Court.

    7. One side requests the Judge to grant a Stay, which he grants.

    8. Arguments are heard, and the Judge rules against the Proponents (this, apparently, is where those who agree with the Opponents stop paying attention).

    9. The Proponents request the Stay remain in place until an Appeal is heard.

    10. The Judge rules that the Stay will be vacated and lists as a reason that the Proponents lack Legal Standing to make an appeal.

    So, I’ll ask again, and please, make your comments on the process and not the subject of the Initiave.     Apparently, you weren’t paying attention to what we were saying, preferring instead to argue something else entirely.

    Its not complex at all, and claiming that it is only serves to obfuscate what any Liberty loving Citizen can see once he sets aside his personal preferences, focuses on the process, and considers how it might work against him if he refuses to speak out against it because he agress with the outcome.

    The crux of the biskit is that the Government refuses to defend in court successful Initiatives with which it disagress.

    If the Judge issues a summary judgement because no defense will be made, no fair hearing has occurred in the Court, and Liberty has not been served. In such cases, the will of the People as demonstrated by thier Vote should prevail.

    But in this case, the Court allowed Citizens to defend the action, then said that they lack standing to appeal.

    If the Court rules that certain Citizens have Standing to defend the Initiative in place of the elected representatives who have refused to do so, they should logically have standing to make an appeal. To do or say otherwise makes the proceedings as much of a sham as a summary judgement would, and the will of a majority of voters denied by both Government and the Court, both of which are supposed to speak for the People. It is a sham because its a proceding rigged to give the appearance of a fair hearing, but leaves no avenue for appeal, which is not a fair hearing at all.

    When both the government and the court rule against the electoral will of the People, who speaks for them in higher courts?

    Where does it stop? Votes on Taxes? Property issues? Parental rights? Term Limits?

    How can the People modify thier government if the Government refuses to represent them and the Court rules that only Government can?

    Put aside for a moment the fact that you agree with the outcome. Liberty is diminished when the Government to uses its Power against the will of the People or refuses to fulfill its responsibility to represent them, and people who should know better look the other way because they agree with the result and can’t get their way in a free and fair election.

    I heard him today. You can hear it in his voice, the man definitely needs knee-mail. The cackling on the left will begin shortly. I won’t say that every hard-core lefty has no heart, but I remember the happiness some of them had when Cheney was having heart problems. They were gleeful at the idea that he might die. At Stuart Varney said on FOX this morning, he thinks the really has much to do with the anticipated big win of the GOP on November 2nd. However, my big question is what will the Dems do to further destroy the economy during the lame duck session. My solution will be to invest now, and pull out the day before Congress goes back into session. Good to see all of you.

    The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation has denounced a movie trailer for the Universal comedy “The Dilemma” and says the studio has pledged to remove the offending scene.

    I do wonder if they will do the same for slurs against conservatives, tea party supporters, gun rights advocates, etc.?

    Affadavit alleges that police have responded to firearms complaints at Irish’s home that have resulted in a pending charge of carrying a concealed weapon without permit. He has also skipped court ordered therapy from another case.

    It also states that there was a recent Trial in Rochester County Court for Termination of Parental Rights on Stephanie Taylor’s two other children because of neglect.

    It looks to me like the association with Oath Keepers was piled on to other more serious concerns and was not the principal reason the child was taken. I object to that, but as it does appear that there is legitimate reason to be concerned, not one Hell of a lot.

    I’ve become very skeptical of these kinds of things being tried in the Poltical Media. The fact that this story is being pimped by InfoWars and God Like Productions tell me to stay way the frik away from this.

    Speaking as a Veteran who gave 11 years of my life in the cause of the defense of the Nation, I find they use rhetoric that scares the bejabbers out of me, and is nothing I would support.

    HAMPTON – A Winnacunnet High School student was accused of making violent threats against the school and was being held in jail without bail.

    Jonathan Irish, 17, of Seabrook, who was to begin his senior year Wednesday, is charged with criminal threatening.

    Court records say Irish told another teenager he was “going to bring guns to school, hide them in the woods and bathrooms, and kill anyone he wanted.”

    According to the arrest warrant, the other teen believed what she was being told and “feared for her life.”

    District Court Judge Francis Frasier ordered Irish held without bail at the Rockingham County jail, pending a psychiatric evaluation to help determine if he is a threat to himself or others.

    Asked if he thought Irish is a threat to the community or himself, police Sgt. Jim Jiguere said, “That’s why he’s being held on no bail.”

Police took her into protective custody.

    The other girl, who was 17, was released.

    Irish said he knew how old the girl was, according to court records.

    There’s also a couple reports of discharge of weapons inside his home from 2007, both times claiming he was shooting at an intruder, but no evidence of illegal entry was found.

    Timing the market is like playing blackjack. The long term rules favor the house and you get bled no matter how good your system is for getting in and out.

    I prefer to stay in the market and shift allocations on a quarterly basis and sparingly then.

    I have a friend from high school days who is a futures trader. He worked for a major oil company for two decades as a oil trader for them. You would think he would have all the ins and outs mastered, but he goes thru periods when he is flush with cash and sometimes he is riding the bus. I could not take that kind of roller coaster existence; therefore I choose to be a long term investor.

    I am up 19% for the year and I believe the economy is on the mend; despite the best efforts of both parties to tank it.

    p.s. It is hard to kill off old crusty Marines. They don’t die; they just go TAD.

    It took over 18 months just to get my Dearly departed Mom’s name off this mortgage and mine on it (with multiple copies of Death Cert + Letters Testamentary in hand and already sent to these Mo-RONZ)…………………and even in over a year.5 we only got as far as listing me as “executor of the estate of…….” – I’m serious – BofA personnel don’t even speak or communicate with one another at the dang WATER COOLER much LESS when actual business needs to be transacted!
    I know in that time span I spoke to no less than 2 dozen different reps at varying levels of power – and had to relate the ENTIRE tale of BPH each and every time.

They were entirely too cute; holding hands under the table, exchanging loving glances amid the small talk, chips and salsa, and creating an aura of genuine romance that warmed my heart and made me feel young.

    They’ve got the whole world ahead of them, like young pups climbing out and having their first adventures beyond the basket. Lots of living, lots of learning, and lots of loving.

    Life is good.
