I remember watching a nature show, which showed a hyena pack attacking a mother warthog. The hyenas circled the momma, who tried desperately to keep her babies together and safe, but as she fended off one attack, another would attempt to grab one of her babies from behind. She’d whirl around to protect that baby, and another hyena would then make its attack on her unprotected babies. Eventually, all but one of her offspring were taken by the hyena pack.
FACT OR FICTION?

A United States President is perceived as weak by countries around the world. It’s not long before the countries with ambition realize how best to attack this new president – like a pack of hyenas, picking at their prey on all sides until their ambitions of changing the balance of power is achieved. It’s not long before China makes its move, Iran tries to become a superpower, countries work together to corner this president, and the state department is almost in a frazzle.

This was the scenario from Tom Clancy’s book Executive Orders. It’s frightening to me to see the parallels. There are differences, however. In Clancy’s book, Jack Ryan had the intelligence and common sense lacking in our current office holder. Oh, and Jack Ryan had a spinal column, fully intact and functional as well.

IMHO, Barack Obama is not only lacking the know-how to effectively manage a national economy, but he also is lacking a backbone and would rather attempt to talk our enemies to death rather than show any strength. In the meantime, these same enemies are building their strength and making their plans.
Until, like a pack of hyenas, they make their attack.

#44 Goat, First let me say that “I DON’T LIKE UNIONS”, leaches they are. That said, I do appreciate proper training and I think that all electricians need to be certified,…if for no other reason for their safety and others. Check out this Arc Flash, or This one. The second one was from a security camera, and if you notice,… Read more »

#44 gto Local 3 which is the huge IBEW union hall for NYC is something like 5,000 deep on the bench for journeymen electricians. For those who don’t know the lingo, that means there are that many experienced, senior electricians out of work. Figure another 5-7 other helpers, apprentices and peripheral members for each of them and you have at… Read more »

ST #8; I really like McNaughton’s #s 3&4 responses: 3. It is not a partisan painting. I take no favoritism to Republicans or Democrats. Both parties are guilty. 4. The only solution I offer is to take a 180 turn and return to the principles of the Constitution, which defined a limited government, protect individual and states’ rights and make… Read more »

What would you charge a customer to pay a service truck driver $67 per hour? Just for what the guy carries on his truck? I know already. People cheer for American workers but want to be charged for illegal labor rates.

One union realizes they price themselves out of the market. http://www.chicagounionnews.com/2010/10/as-electricians-union-creates-new-class.html Union quality? Look at the picture. That guy is going to need his cable stretcher to make the secondary terminations. (The wires on the right are too short to reach the transformer taps.) 40, Ted, Just rent some plain vanilla sedans (preferably green) with black wall tires. Arrange for several to show up at once at various sites and watch the fun. Actually had that happen at a golf course many years ago. A number of contractors and I were working on a power station adjacent to a new public golf course in… Read more »

It is difficult to fire employees…easier to not hire bad eggs in the first place, but sometimes you have to work with what you have. The bigger management leadership challange is “fixing” a defective employee. You should have seen the draft era Marine Recruits I had to work with at times. Seldom put one on the bus that I was… Read more »

#17 I think that being a director of a theatrical production is in some ways more difficult than a leadership role in a business project. One must develop and maintain an overall vision, be flexible, and deal with some very temperamental talent to make things work out.

Congrats. Your pride in her is well placed.

Whoops, had already got out to the truck to get going and just had to come back in to post my definition of a narcissist. “He thinks his waste don’t stink, but his gas gives him away” (nicely worded so as not to offend)

Thanks TT. Yea, I’ll make it, but it sure is cutting into my nap time everyday.

Can you guys suggest an alternative, FREE, VPN to Hot Spot Shield by Anchor Free? I have to restate time and time again that something in the overall premise of this comment is incorrect. It tends to leave the impression that our President wants to do what is right but just lacks the knowledge, experience, know-how, and intestinal fortitude to follow through. Wrong. He is accomplishing exactly what he set out to accomplish which is… Read more »
